Came in one day with a tee time I'd booked via their website and they couldn't find it on their tee sheet. Completely wiped even though I had email verification. After a while they got it sorted out and had us on our way. When we left the pro shop we couldn't find out where/how to get a golf cart (it's not very clear and the guys in the pro shop didn't give us direction). Good course, terrible staff Riverdale Dunes plays well, but the older marshal completely ruined the round. Rude, confrontational, and clearly on a power trip. We were experienced golfers playing fast with no one behind us. He told us to speed up multiple times, threatened to kick us off, then made us skip a hole. We ended up waiting at the next tee because the group ahead was still on the green. Plenty of great courses in Colorado. Skip this one. Not worth dealing with that guy. read more

The best golf for the price. The professional staff is very responsive to slow play. Even with half of the Knolls down for the year, Riverdale provides a modified 9 that plays great with the right number of challenges. The Restaurant is above par, and the Staff is fast and family-friendly. I would recommend this as a must-play for northern Colorado. read more

The course itself is in great condition. That wraps up the highlights. We made the turn at the 2:05 mark moving right along. The starter comes over to us and tells us we need to skip number 10 to "catch up" to the group in front of us. Well the group in front of us only played 9 holes and left. So what they were really saying is catch the group two holes in front of you which is absolutely stupid. We called the clubhouse to complain and the dolt who we spoke to said they maintain a sub 4 hour round. Very interesting since even the PGA pace of play guidelines expects a group of 3 to finish in slightly over 4 hours. A foursome, which we had is expected to maintain a 4 hour and 21 minute pace. This place is run by idiots who just ignore the standard rules of golf and impose their own. So we finished our 4 hour and 5 minute round of henpecked golf and left. Spend your money elsewhere. The course is great, but the people suck. read more

Played the Knolls course. Course conditions were fantastic. Pace of play was right at 4.25 hours on a Sunday at 10:28am. Good basic layout with nice views. What was disappointing was the beverage service. The beverage cart came and had room temperature water around all of the drinks, no ice at all. So everything we bought, both times, was fairly colder than room temperature. No good reason for that. read more

Riverdale Dunes is one of my favorite courses in the Denver metro area! Very reasonable prices, a Pete & Perry Dye course, high maintenance standards and walkable, even for a 72 year old guy like me! An incredible value for a great, beautiful course. The complaints about marshalls here are curious. Better to have active marshalls than end up with 5hour rounds with none as happens at too many public courses. I've never had a round take more than 4 1/2 hours here, walking, and I've played it many times. Give me more of that! read more

I've played the Riverdale courses for over 50 years, started when they were called Adams County golf, and I don't think I've ever seen the Knolls course in better shape than it was yesterday! Fairways, greens, tee boxes all were in excellent shape! Thanks for a really great day of golf. read more

This place is so nice. I don't really need to leave a long review. Pete Dye design. Played the Dunes course and struggled, but can't deny it was a stunningly gorgeous course. The only complaint for me was pin placement. Every pin seemed to be in the toughest spot imaginable and greens were super quick which made those pins almost non accessible. All the amenities you need. Chipping green is one of those things I think every course should have. Premium club rentals seemed high at $40. I played with a set of $20 Nikes and enjoyed those. Don't miss the fairways and club up if you're in the rough. Good luck breaking 80. read more

Great Dunes course, exceptionally rude, unknowledgeable, unprofessional, disrespectful marshal. First, 2.5 holes in, we're 10 minutes ahead of pace, group behind us has been nowhere to be seen, and we're being told that we're 1.5 holes behind. The tee time two ahead of us never showed up. Half of our group was walking but the people in front of us were all in carts and were able to tee off early and catch the tee time two ahead of their's. We were walking so we can't makeup 1.5 tee times in only 2.5 holes. Then on the 9th fairway, he's back and despite having just seen us waiting on the 8th tee for the group ahead of us, the group behind us not even being remotely close to us at any point, he tells us we're again behind pace despite the group ahead of us just pulling away as we were arriving at our balls, aka we're only 1 minute away from having to hit into them, thus the marshal is effectively telling us we need to be hitting into the group ahead of us. At that point, we were 20 minutes ahead of pace. Fortunately, we never crossed paths on the back nine. We never got his name, but he was the obese of the two marshals, the other marshal seems to have no problem with us. It's just so rude, ruined not just our golf round but my entire day on the Fourth of July. read more

Fantastic Pete Dye course. Heard Tom Doak worked on the par 5s early in his career too. Great layout, conditions, and service. Links style track where every hole has its unique qualities, and the course has one of the best collection of par 3s. Conditions were perfect; I haven't seen a public course in that good a condition in years. Practice facilities were wonderful. The grass on the range felt like a fairway instead of the usual sand pits. Putting green and chipping green were great too. Oddly the mosquitoes were out in force the day I played, but the marshals came out to deliver bug spray every several holes. What great service! For the price, I would play here every week if I were local. Love this place. read more

Course was in great condition. Teed off at 5:52am and the starter told us on #1 we needed to "hurry up and catch the group in front of you". At the turn we went inside for maybe 5 min. On 10 we were told that the pro shop wanted to reposition us. On 12 someone from the pro shop told us to pick it up. The group behind us never had to wait for us. As a matter of fact we never saw them until 17. Finished the round before 10:00 which made us ahead of standard pace of play. Could have saved $67 and stayed home to listen to the wives complain like that. read more

Have a group of 8-16 golfers that play different courses all over the front range 2-3 times a week. Had 2 tee times on Saturday morning. 2 of our guys had to drop on the day of because they had a death in the family. Called the course that morning and explained the situation to the head pro Jeff Meeker who informed that we would still be charged for the 2 missing players. I really don't care about the money but the price of another person's grief and future patronage is clearly $98. I find your behavior disheartening and frankly subhuman. You have clearly forgotten that you are providing a service and without your customers you have no business and worst of all you have forgotten how to be a decent human being. read more

3.5 stars. Knolls course. This course is super solid, dont get me wrong. The conditions are always excellent and ALMOST everybody I have encountered here is pleasant. However, this past Saturday I played a round and the pace of play was absolutely bonkers. Teed off at 2:30PM, did not finish until 7:22PM. At one point, there was 3 groups all waiting to tee off one hole. The carts displayed a message to return to the clubhouse when we were on hole 16. Rightfully so, nobody gave a shit because we had to wait all day to finish the game. When I got to the 18th, I was kicked off the fairway because of course rules/darkness. Which is fair, but maybe y'all should get some rangers out on the course and figure your shit out because paying any money to not finish 18 holes blows my mind. read more

The staff is extremely unprofessional at this course. I am sorry that I decided to spend my birthday here. The next green fee is all these guys care about. Once they have your money, they will be on your case to finish your round as fast possible. The marshal on the back nine is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered on a golf course. When I complained to the assistant professional, I was told that he didn't care. Just remember that if you book a tee time here. They don't really care about your experience. I drove a long way to play that course, and I feel very ripped off. I would give them negative stars if that was an option. I have been coming to Riverdale Golf Club for several years, so I thought it'd be a good idea to finally Yelp them. Riverdale GC offers two separate courses, Dunes and Knolls, which are both great courses. The Knolls is the less expensive of the pair, but definitely well worth your time and bang for your buck. For an average golfer, the Knolls offers several challenging holes, littered with sand traps and water hazard. Most of the fairways are pretty wide open so definitely easy to stay in play. The greens and fairways are very well kept, and offer beautiful views for the elevated tee box from 7. The Dunes is an excellent and very challenging course. Definitely the more pricey of the two. I believe we paid $65 per person for 18 holes, which included the cart, so not too shabby. This course will definitely kick your butt if you can't keep your drives in the fairways, as they are much more narrow and unforgiving unlike the Knolls. I actually sank my one and only hole in one on the Dunes last season. I believe it's home 13 that runs parallel to a lake, which makes the view breathtaking, but be careful and make sure you hit it strait off the tee or you'll lose a ball or two. The clubhouse restaurant offers a variety of great food as well as a full bar. Most of the staff are very helpful and friendly too! I highly recommend Riverdale GC, but bring your A-game if you plan on playing the Dunes. This course will chew you up and spit you out! Happy golfing my Yelpers! What a poorly managed establishment. Sure seems to be discriminatory to persons with physical limitations. They disallowed a young wheelchair user from riding along. Made zero accommodations, and were extremely rude. Very terrible way to treat frequent customers trying to bring a friend along for some fresh air. Please reconsider golfing at one of the many other courses that care about ALL of those who wish to enjoy the course. read more

Woke up sick today. Tried to cancel my tee time and they informed me that they would be charging me a cancellation fee. Guess they would rather expose all their staff / other players to getting sick & loose all future tee times that I would have book led with them, then have a shred of decency and wave the cancellation fee. way to suck. read more

I have had more than one experience with the people at this place choose to treat me poorly based upon how I look. I paid at the Pro shop When I asked if I needed a receipt they told me no just go right over to the starter he'll get me a cart . when I got to the starter he was accusing me of not paying him telling me he wouldn't give me a car without my receipt and told me I wouldn't I need I had a coin in my hand which signified I paid for range balls so he knows that I was inside continues to tell me that I didn't pay and that no one has paid for the teatime looking at the wrong time and last name was still giving me a hard time and yelling at me took me 15 minutes to get a car and then he was calling me for the Teebox I'm mad because I had just left to get range balls.... I decided to give the course another shot and came back today or I was playing with three other people we were all on cart two to a cart . Hole 13 The cart girl Came around for the first time in which she stopped up on our two carts right next to each other. We all proceeded to tell her we missed breakfast and we all needed some food she didn't have any food had some candy bars one person ordered for the four of us and handed her a card said put this all on this card... The cart girl pants back the card and then looks at me and tells me to pay for my stuff separately when I asked why she said that I wasn't with the other group that I was been playing with all day... I asked if it was because I was black is that why I don't belong with them the 3 white guys I was playing with there was laughter and then it went silent when I saw I was upset she drove off like nothing happen with out getting me the order items . read more

The Dunes at Riverdale, What a great course, a Pete Dye layout that is in excellent condition. Although not a totally distinguishable Dye layout there are distinct Dye trappings. Only one hole that is truely funky that is No. 14 where from the tee first timers have no idea where to hit the ball or where the green is. Even the score card does not give useable information. Best thing to do is just close your eyes and hit away. The course is a links style that winds it's way through native country side. The 15th hole has a pond/lake all the way down the left side and is quite beautiful. Many holes are memorable with only a few fading into run of the mile type. The clubhouse is large and elegant, housing the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame. Nothing is cramped, food is good and all personal both in the clubhouse, Pro Shop, Restaurant and on the course are super friendly and want to make your golf experience a good one. There are two courses at Riverdale. The Knolls I did not play but I will return soon to do just that. I would have to rate this course one of the top 20 I have played and problably top 10 in Colorado. read more

Great facility with great maintenance. Good greens and nice track. Unfortunately if you lose a club and its turned into the Marshall you"ll never see it again. Very disappointed to hear today that my son (who plays this course often) invited a wheelchair bound friend (in need of getting out) to ride along in golf cart. The course made NO EFFORT to make accommodations to allow this to happen. Sounds as if this course is more about $$$ than taking care of their customers. They have no idea how this outing could have lifted a young mans spirits. Makes many of us sad and angry! read more

Carts were soaking wet and after a couple of holes our towels were soaked so we couldn't dry our seats off at least. Riverdale Dunes is a great course. However it's difficult to book as a single there. Also I played today and they paired me up with a threesome. Two walking and one cart. The starter wouldn't give me a cart and said I had to double up. There was 40 carts there at 830 am and there was 40 carts there when I finished just after noon. This isn't their fault cause usually doubling up is ok but I had to share a cart with the biggest whiner I've ever played with. He first accused me of freeloading on his cart without paying. Both of us never heard of making us double up. Can't Riverdale spare me a cart? read more

I had a blast on this course. I'm not sure if it was the course or the perfect weather, but it was just nonetheless. Lots of open/forgiving fairways. Lots of water to mess with your head. Very friendly staff. Great condition and nice greens. The only reason it loses a star is because I lost a club and couldn't find it. (update: found the club in the bag. Love the layout of Dunes... and the condition of the course is great for a public. I've played the Dunes a few times now over the past 4 years, and I like it, don't love it for some reason, and can't totally figure out why. It's a nice course. Pro shop is nice. Restaurant is ok. I think what I may not love is that it always feels really crowded and busy, like a "destination course" or something. Could be better: Pace is only okay on the weekends. Played 9 in 2.5 hours most recently and just left. *But the pro shop was super cool and gave us a voucher for the other 9* Service. Some water jugs were out on the course and we only saw the cart girl once in 2.5 hours. It's a fine course, worth playing... just not my favorite. read more

I was having a great day on the course until I met Steve. Steve is a problem. I came to the pro shop and he was not helpful whatsoever and treated me like a child. Steve knows nothing about golf and even less about people. In addition to that I witnessed him treating coworkers and cart girls poorly and this makes me never want to come back. Get rid of Steve and you might gain some more business. Coming from a frequent golfer he should not be working at your establishment. read more

I played the Knolls course this morning for my first experience at the Riverdale Courses. While the course was nice the staff was very rude and impatient. Apparently the 2hr 9-hole pace (we were in the car leaving the parking lot at the 2-hr mark) we finished on wasn't fast enough to suit the people behind us so we had the course staff guy hounding us to be faster, questioning if it was our first time, and generally making a nuisance of himself. Granted, we were a bit slow on the first hole, but being pushy and insulting is not the way to get things moving. By the 5th hole we were climbimg up the back of the people in fromt of us (which I hate) so what was the point? Stop overbooking your course and you wont have that problem. I won't be back and neither will anyone I know. read more
