The park is pretty small and doesn't have any steep half pipes or anything, but still has some fun ramps and you can also ride a circular track around if you're not a daredevil. Kids of all ages come here, we saw people ranging from 6-26. There's also a basketball court which was crowded too. It's also really close to mastic beach and right across the street from William Floyd high so I'm sure kids often hang out here during the week. One bad thing is I didn't see any bathroom facilities which I guess is common for a lot of state parks and recreations areas. Overall nice clean fun and good to get out of the house, exercise and make friends. We'll be back.

The path is a much more enjoyable walk then going to the local High School track. There are also trails into the woods. They intersect at a geometric pattern made from slate stone with with three stone benches.

I also do dessert fairy dusting so I plan out my hiking visits to coincide some dusting drops. I loved this park but I had no idea it was so small. The cement trail is only .4 of a mile. By the time I drive to a new trail to check it out I usually don't have much time to hike on it before I should head back home, take a shower and do whatever else I'm doing for that day so I usually will only get a mile maybe two on a trail but for this trail I had to walk around it multiple times, weaving in and out of the wooded side paths in order to make at least one mile of hiking. Other than it being so tiny it was a nice little well maintained park. If you're a novice hiker or a runner looking for a fairly safe place to do hikes this park is good for you.

I recently moved to the area and was immediately welcomed in. I go here multiple times every week and it only costs ten dollars to get in. This is officially the last indoor skatepark in Connecticut. A whole lot of…read morerecreation Ethel Peters is a huge recreational complex that has a whole lot of different activities. Different schools and organizations use the complex as well as individual residents and everything in the complex is very well maintained. Several huge and very nice baseball fields, a football and soccer field, hoop and tennis courts, a skate park, a nice running track and even a dog park are available. It is a huge area and many people just use the area to jog or go for a walk. During the summer lots of different leagues use the facilities and there is always something going on. Fortunately the complex has a huge parking lot so even with zillions of people around parking is usually not a problem. In the winter I have seen people cross country skiing and snow shoeing here. A wonderful town park that meets the needs of just about any activity you could want. A great place for some recreation or relaxation.
