My husband and I have lived here for over 8 years now and I highly recommend it! Angela (manager) is awesome! Office is always patient and kind. Maintenance is handled in good timing. Sure, non emergency things might take an extra day, but when you have an emergency, they are there to handle it quickly and competently! When the maintenance folks are doing something outside and see me needing help getting garbage carried, etc, they are quick to offer a hand! I know some of the people that work here also live here, and it really makes it feel like a neighborhood that is invested in its outcome. The grounds are amazing. The pool area looks like a high priced vacation spot. The gym has great equipment as well as steam and dry sauna in locker rooms. (That is one thing I'd change, so my husband and I could sit together.) The new dog park is my favorite spot, though. The agility equipment wears out my doggo and he adores it! Having such a nice place to sit, have coffee, and relax for a bit is a huge thing to me. We have had neighbors that have become family. We have had neighbors that are now friends. We have had other neighbors that aren't our favorite, but we've never had a "neighbor problem". I love the times the pool is busy with neighbors laughing and hanging out. I love the diversity of the population here. Occasionally the office will have a community event with pizza and music. Those are so much fun! It is great to find new friends! We recently decided that we like it enough we moved to a larger unit. Management was wonderful with making it a smooth transition. I wish I could give 4.5 stars, because I think perfect reviews can be suspect, but I wouldn't drop it to 4 stars! I really do love it here! read more

Don't waste your time here! I applied for an apartment here on 8/11, I was told the process would take 5-7 days, and I was later informed I was approved via email and I only needed to provide one more document. On the very day I was supposed to sign the lease and move in Friday 8/22. management abruptly reversed their decision and denied me(I was told the decision had nothing to do with the last document they asked for.... Also during the whole process I had to continuously call and ask where they were in the process / did they need anything else from me, they did not reach out first for anything else needed until after I would call and ask if they needed anything. This wasted valuable time and left me in a last-minute scramble to find housing. Communication was poor, and the process felt misleading and unprofessional. Current resident and it's been far the worst apartments I've lived in. Our closet shelf was not properly installed and fell overnight causing damage to multiple items and it took weeks to fix after multiple calls, my sons glass closet broke leaving a sharp corner where he could have cut himself, this took almost 2 months to fix. Our toilet hasn't worked properly since we moved in. Pool party's that last long after curfew. People openly smoking pot while my kids playing on the playground, trash everywhere including beer bottles at said playground. Not to mention none of they're apps work, so I've had 2 cars towed the night they were parked because the app was down, I get doing it if a car has been sitting in there for a bit but no, a single night you will get towed so hopefully no emergency's come your way. Avoid this place like the plague. Not to mention the office staff. Specifically Peter is a nightmare read more

I moved into a brand new unit that had never been lived in. However, there were numerous things broken upon moving in from windows to shelves to the AC unit to electrical. It's obvious they don't put any pride into running the place. In addition, it's turned into a frat house. People slamming doors all the time. Other people cranking their car stereos at 12:30 AM for 20 minutes. The office doesn't really seem to want to handle complaints. Also, sadly, you can't walk in the grass because too many people don't pick up after their dogs. It was at the point where their was dog poop about every 5 to 10 feet in the grass. Some people were even letting their dogs poop on the sideway without picking it up. Not enough parking either. If you are not home by 7 PM, you will not get a spot near the buildings. read more

Do not move here. Management, Rachel Baethge, does not care or have empathy about any of the residents here at Riverhorse Ranch Apartments. They seem to think its okay for maintenance to do whatever they want, when they want, how they want to your dwelling, no matter if you pay rent or not. Despite being a paying resident (always on time, or before time) it seems since the maintenance manager has been with the company for 15 years and maintenance manager here at the property for 10 years, its okay and justified by the property manager, Rachel Baethge, for him to just help himself to your dwelling with the keys in hand without announcement or authorization from you to just enter into your dwelling. There was no announcement made by the maintenance manager when he put the key in my door and unlocked it, nor did the prick ring my doorbell. But, the story he gave the property manager was totally in his favor and he did everything right. Exactly.....The incident happened Jan 22, 2020 and was reported Jan 23, 2020. Alexius Ballenger(leasing office personnel), claimed she was oh so new and she did not want to give wrong information out because she stressed the fact that she was so new to the job and there was no one else in the office but here. I call a crock of dog poop that flows like running water. Alexius Ballenger(leasing office personnel) claimed to be so sorry for what happened and that she was not trying to sound dismissive to me as I was reporting the incident to her. She claimed to have called the property manager, Rachel Baethge, because she was off and apparently the property manager off days are more important than taking care of issues here at the property where she overseeing. Sorry does not help and sorry is unacceptable and just blatantly a disregard for my feelings, my safety, and my privacy here at these torn down apartments. Sorry won't bring back my feeling of being safe in my dwelling anymore. Sorry won't give me back my privacy that was taken. Sorry won't make me feel any better about you all and what your maintenance manager did. To hell with your sorry and you all are some sorry ass excuses for management and you all have no empathy nor do you all care about what happens to your residents, as long as the rent checks are in by the 3rd of every month, you all could give two f%$#s about what your residents may feel or are going through, after being violated by management. Why should I have to call you at or around 2:36 pm in the evening to make you address what happened with your employee on Friday? Why? Then, to ask me what happened when you should have read the email and talked to Alexius, since she was here, but you failed to do neither Rachel Baethge. Instead, you disregard my feelings about the situation, tell me that's not what the maintenance manager told you and the story you got from him was way different, of course, because he's trying to save his ass and his job, and you sit here and plainly say you are sorry and it won't happen again. Then, this prick had the nerve to ask me have this happened to me before, so your not concern with me, your just concern about the welfare of your employees, since its been years of their service and it won't happen again, so sorry. Nice apartments and amenities. Management sucks. Some work orders were ignored. Lied to us about availability and then stuck us in a smaller apartment then we were initially offered. Leases were messed up multiple times. Amenities are never open. Pretty sure one of the workers called the cops on us because they showed up the night we complained about something. They said that we were playing music too loud but we had not had music on for 4 hours and it was not loud because my roommate was asleep so I kept it quite. Military police and swat teams showed up at 4am screaming in megaphones and carrying ARs, shields and door rams. They were pointing their lasers all over the building and asked someone to come out with there hands up. Probably to arrest a drug cartel member. They never told the community what happened. read more

If you had asked me what I thought a year ago, I would be raving about how wonderful this complex is. Inconsistency in the leasing office is what's brought down our rating. I'll leave it short and simple. Package service is unreliable. A package can be marked delivered for days before they "find" it, which wouldn't be cause for concern if it wasn't USPS, FedEx, AND UPS. Not to mention they give packages to the wrong tenants. (We've never gotten packages that were marked delivered, and we have been given other tenants packages. Don't ship anything important.) When we moved in, we were told we could host small gatherings in the clubhouse, and sometime between October 2014 and now, February 2016, that policy changed, and we were not informed. Numerous "policy changes" that we were not informed of have randomly popped up, seemingly because whoever you're speaking with simply doesn't want to (or know how to,) accommodate your request. We've been told we can't have our dogs crate on the patio, that we can't fly an American flag, (but a tenant in the building next to us can display a flag with a demon on it,) and that if our patio doesn't look "uniform" that we would need to negotiate the terms of our lease. When we put our blind dog on the patio to enjoy some outdoor time, we placed a gate in front of the railing so he couldn't put his head through, and were told this was unacceptable. Unfortunately, this is the only place he can enjoy the sun, because the dog park is not only full of poop, it's full of fleas. (If you read my review of The Barrington at Park Place, you'll see that we came from a complex with fleas, and we spent close to $1,000 in our frantic attempts to not bring them with us. We had Riverhorse Ranch treat our new unit so we wouldn't have an issue, but they refuse to treat outside, which leaves us to dope our dogs up with very expensive flea medication.) Parking sucks. It's an apartment, so that's expected. Get a carport or garage. My fiancée and I are going to start house hunting soon, so thankfully we should be out of this place before it completely loses all appeal. To be fair, we love our unit, maintenance has been consistent, and my neighbors are great. My floor named a family of birds that built a nest in our stairwell, and we all watched the babies grow up, sometimes running into our neighbors sitting on the stairs watching the little family, but alas, the complex power washed their nest down. I've lived at Riverhorse Ranch for 8 months. My rent of $1215 was paid on time every single month. I attempted to renew my lease but transfer to a smaller, less expensive apartment and was denied after the manager walked my apartment. The reasons given were that the apartment was unacceptable, there was 1 trash violation and I owed them $330 for reasons that they can't explain. #1: The apartment is in good condition. It is clean and nothing was broken or damaged. #2: The trash violation that they charged me $50 for is due to a trash bag being on the porch for 20 minutes. I was cleaning and put the bag out there until I was done with the intention of taking it to the dumpster as soon as I was done. One "trash violation" and I'm now on their bad side. #3: Nobody can explain clearly why I owed them $330. I wrote them a check and paid it anyway the day I went in requesting renewal of my lease. My one trash violation is nothing compared to some of the trash that lives here. I'm certain that they have to go around begging for rent every month. Mine was ALWAYS paid on time. But apparently that means nothing. Me and my child now have to put all of our belongings in storage and move in with my mother. I'll be sleeping on a blow up mattress. Thanks Riverhorse Ranch! You have kicked me and my son out of our home. I recently went through a divorce and have been facing extremely hard times. But you got your money every month for 8 months so who cares right? So this review is for you. I hope that people will read it and pass on renting from you. I'll be out of here in a week. I'm sure that you will come after me for more money for some made up reason. Go ahead and do that. I'm a single mother who is trying to recover from a nasty divorce. But guess what! Super nice staff and great apartments. The location is close enough to 35, yet far enough to feel like a home. Pools in both sections are immaculate. I had stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and 2 full bathrooms. The neighbors were nice yet quiet so that was super cool. I had a washer and dryer so laundry was easy. More room than I needed. There are floor plans but stainless and granite are standard. Plus I felt safe with a gated community and my own garage. What do i think about riverhorse ranch? My girlfriend lives there she has the money to renew her lease, they said no because the apartment was unnaceptable. Which is fallacy. The apartment is in great condition. There is nothing wrong with it. In fact, she had cleaned the whole apartment the day before they came. A couple of months ago she was cleaning and put a trash bag outside for a few minutes. They charged her $50 for doing that. Her rent was paid on time every single month. No issues whatsoever with rent. The air ducts in the apartment have not been cleaned. Her son has been ill for 9 days. His physician stated that it could be due to the poor air quality in the apartment. My girlfriend and her young son have nowhere to go. For no reason. These people do not care. Over a trash bag? They should be happy they got their $1215 a month on time every month. read more

I just moved to Austin, TX in Nov. 2015 to Riverhorse Ranch Apt division 1, and have not regretted it at all. I have to say the staff is extremely friendly and helpful with whatever concerns or issues I had, maintenance team is amazing and go out of their way to make sure anything that breaks or that is a concern is addressed promptly. One example, I found a bit of mold around the living room and bedroom windows... wasn't sure if it was condensation or possibly an issue. The team that was sent over looked at it, told me it was probably just from the temp changes but to ease my mind they insisted to cut open the wall to inspect it. They were very respectful, covered all my furnishings in plastic and even were good sports when my kitty decided it was play time with said plastic. So they opened the wall, all was clear and dry, they patched and painted it same day. This is just one example... Another was when my fire alarm batteries went low and the annoying chirping started at 12am, and due to the 9 foot ceilings, I could not safely reach the alarm and put in a new battery. The maintenance man showed up the next day, changed the battery, then asked if I just wanted them all done while he was there.... I really enjoy living here, and do not plan on leaving any time soon.... The prices are affordable, the amenities are terrific, and the grounds are immaculate. We moved in a few days ago and had a few minor problems but after speaking to Keith about these issues, they were fixed in less than 10 minutes. We really enjoy this place so far and Keith was very helpful. If you're looking for a place to live, I highly recommend this community. Not only was Keith helpful and listened to our concerns but he was also the person we signed our lease with, so, I really feel like he cares about the tenants of this community instead of just having them sign a lease and moving on to the next one. Also, their maintenance professional, Omar, is awesome! He came to fix what we needed fixed and when he realized it wasn't able to be fixed, he replaced it in less than 30 minutes. DAY 1 I got, here within 1 hour, my next door neighbor came and rung my doorbell saying my uhaul was blocking parking spots (umm yea it's a 20' truck) i tell her oh we just finished right now we are about to move it. She didn't smile she didn't say ok thank you she just gave that DISGUST look. 45 seconds later her husband was BANGING, I'm talking about BANGING, on my door (i have a doorbell) .....i didn't answer it because I'm tying my shoes and I'm like this can't be this lady i just told i was coming out. I grab my keys and tell my daughter let's go, i go out to move the uhaul and this white man is forcefully walking up to me with his face frowned up saying "YOU NEED TO MOVE THIS!" I stayed calm and assertively said I AM. From that point to a few hrs later they didn't move NO CAR! I specifically paid attention to see why it was so important to move in 45 seconds!! ( ASK MY MAMA, BECAUSE I COULDNT STOP TALKING ABOUT IT) Then, that weekend i get another complaint from the neighbor saying it sounds like I'm throwing chairs around. I opened the door like sir i don't even have any chairs, i tell my kids to walk on their tip toes because i kno how it is living on the 1st floor. Regular footsteps sound like stomping. This man proceeds to tell me well since you have kids you should've thought about living on the 1st floor!! I told him THAT WASNT AN OPTION!!! As if it was any of his business anyway!!! Ok let's fast forward to game night this weekend. (Barely been here for two weeks) I DONT EVEN HAVE A TV OR NO SPEAKERS!!!! I went live so y'all saw anyway. It's Saturday and we playing taboo and phase 10. Our walls are so thin i can hear when my neighbor, who shares a wall with me, pulls back the sheets of his bed. Does that mean i can complain when he has sex? I hear when they flush the toilet!!!! Does that mean i can complain because he used the restroom @ 3am? I can hear when they baby crying!!!! Does that mean i can complain about excessive noise when the baby crying? This apartment complex does not keep the amenities open like the basketball court. It has been closed for nearly 2 months because they cannot figure out the security for the court at night and unwelcome people are loud and playing in the early morning hours. This is suppose to be a secure gated community. Discussing this issue with the office staff several times has not helped. There has been issues with the hot tub and at the new pool many of the furniture cushions have been stolen. read more

I have to say I genuinely enjoyed living here. I moved to this complex based solely on pictures and reviews online since I was moving from the Northeast to Texas. The complex was very accommodating with us and were able to get us approved and moved in with very little time to spare. During my time here the grounds have been well kept, they're excellent with communication, they are Willing to work with you if you need it, and their maintenance team responds within a reasonable amount of time. There aren't any bugs (and if you see any they send the exterminator out the next working business day depending on when you call) and the complex is quiet. I lived in the phase 2 side so the pool was generally always empty which was really nice! My only complaint was some of the neighbors with pets were inconsiderate and didn't clean up after their dogs, however the complex sent maintenance out to clean it up. They're great, I would definitely live here again and recommend anyone to live here. read more

Riverhorse Ranch tries to advertise itself as luxury apartments online. Luxury? No way. The apartments (at least in phase 1) are basic. They are a nice size but really basic and outdated. The blinds are horrible and cheap. The appliances are pitiful. The apartments are not energy efficient, the parking is horrible. The parking spots are not uniform and most are too small for the vehicles that are parked in them. It makes it difficult to get a small child out of the car or get out groceries. The staff does not keep track of people coming and going. Can't tell you how many people I have seen using the pool who pack up and drive out the front gate. The staff also uses a lot of hearsay and double standards when dealing with people. I was never so excited about anything as getting out of this place. The people in the buildings around me smoked weed so you could get a contact high from just being outside. The staff is also very ineffective at dealing with just about anything. I don't recommend this place. Pay a little more and go somewhere better! read more

Overall this place is alright I guess. But the parking here is terrible! I have a new neighbor that has 3 or 4 cars even though it seems like he lives alone. I appreciate that he did rent a garage so that takes care of 2 of them not taking up uncovered parking but the others just sit there in the "coveted" spots for the most part. Then there's the people that seem to forget how to park and literally take up 2 spots either entirely or its so dang crooked that it screws the surrounding spots up so much that I can't even get out of my tiny car! Then there's people that park in the freaking handicap spots that don't have tags or special marked handicap plates. I'm not handicap but it just irks me that people do that. It seems like if I want a spot at least semi near my building I need get home before 530-6pm, which is ridiculous because most people don't get off until that time. The rent here is kinda high for my small apartment and increases every year which I know is standard for the industry so I can't afford to even get the covered parking so I'm stuck having to park way far away and walk in the dark most days. But I keep renewing my lease because for the most part it is a decent community and the security guy seems to actually take his job seriously. Last issue is the dang laundry facility. I can't afford to rent or own my own so I use the one on property. It seems like Russian ruelette of figuring out which machines work or their broken. And the machines are gross for the most part even though I make sure to clean up after myself before and after. Then the dryers take multiple rounds to dry properly even though they aren't overfilled. And what really gets me is that I've had to start guarding myself and my stuff because there's been homeless people in there a few times and other times where even though when I put a load in the dryer when none of the others are in use I come back after the cycle should be done and discover my mostly wet clothes all over the dirty floor! I didn't have to deal with this stuff when I first moved here a couple years ago, or maybe I just didn't let it bother me because I have an insane amount of patience usually. But something has got to change! But to end on a good note, thanks for giving me more motivation to get a better job so I can one day afford a better place. I've been living in this apt. complex in Pflugerville for about 3 months (with my husband and 2 young kids). So far I really love it here. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They're always there with a smile and bowl of candy/cookies (at the office). The maitnenance staff answers fixing issues fast. The pool is big, nice, and always open (unlike some other complexes). Their social events (free food/drink, and music are great). The apt. is clean, spacious, walk-in closets, double sinks, bathtub, standing shower. The kitchen includes microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. You can rent washer/dryer. Their clubhouse is so spacious and inviting with free coffee 24/7, billiard room, TV. They have a nice big gym, w/ free bootcamp classes twice a week. The gym has a suana and steam room. I really enjoy living here. read more

IF YOU CARE AT ALL ABOUT YOUR SAFETY, READ THIS. I wanted to wait until our lease was up before writing a review to give them some more time to prove this complex could get better, but things have gotten too bad lately that I feel like a warning to future residents is important. From the very beginning we had issues. Two days before we were supposed to move in (me coming from Houston) I got a call saying that our apartment wouldn't be ready and it would be at least another 4-5 days. Obviously I was furious- not only had I already gotten a job in Austin and was supposed to be starting Tuesday (without a place to live now), but I had already rented the UHAUL and started packing (causing me to have to spend more money to keep it longer). I'm not rich, so the amount of money they were costing me to wait around for them to be ready (which they had known we were moving since March/April) because they didn't do what they were supposed to was just unacceptable. So finally we move in, within a few hours we notice that most of the appliances and water in the apartment is broken. Ice maker broken, microwave broken, oven drawer broken, AC broken, water in shower won't get hot, etc. Problem after problem after problem. I will say that they did at least get the problems fixed as quickly as they could...unfortunately most of what they fix broke shortly after, but they did come back and attempt it again. So finally things are pretty OK with everything in the apartment, and then...parking. Oh my god. This has got to be the WORST parking I have EVER dealt with. If I come home from work any later than 6pm I cannot find parking anywhere near me what-so-ever. Now that it's getting darker earlier this is very scary for a single female trying to walk to her apartment in the dark from far away. The parking here just drives me insane, it's awful. The complex is also not very well lit, making it very dangerous. If you have a dog and take them around back to the large grassy areas when it starts getting dark, you cannot see anything-it is pitch black. Extremely dangerous and not being able to see makes owners think they have an excuse not to pick up after their dogs. Yuck. The apartments are old and the walls are thin, so I can constantly here my new neighbors little dog barking at very inappropriate hours (after 9pm at night and before 6:30am in the morning). I can also hear every time they decide to get 'intimate' and when they decide they hate each other and scream back and fourth. Relaxing in my own bedroom is impossible with these paper thin walls. I understand there will always be noise at a complex, I get it, but I don't need or want to hear my neighbor having loud sex every weekend. Lastly, the safety here is horrible. Recent events are what have pushed me to finally write this review early...constant fighting, theft, vandalism, and recently-GUN SHOTS. Since moving here we have heard gun shots 6 times. SIX TIMES. We are not the only ones to have report these incidents. The police are usually here every weekend and some weeknights for various crimes. I no longer feel safe living here and am extremely unhappy, I cannot wait to get out of here. Please do not live here, it's overpriced and getting to be extremely dangerous. And for the record, I don't have problems with the staff. I think it's unfortunate they have to work at such an awful complex and I honestly feel sorry for them. read more

My girlfriend and I took a tour of this place and really liked it so we decided we would fill out the application to move in. I had some questions about the process so I called the office. I spoke with Colin and he seemed annoyed by the questions I was asking and it sounded like he wanted to get off the phone ASAP. He was curt and short with me. I asked a question about the deposit and then asked if the apartment was still available. His response was "that would take at least 30mins". This confused me because the last time it took them 2mins to find out apartment availability. I then said, "It will take 30 minutes to find out if the apartment is available? I'm not talking about the deposit". He said "oh, ok". He either assumed or wasn't paying attention to me. I understand he could've been multitasking but he should have politely asked me to restate my question instead of guessing. The management is always rude when I call, whether I'm calling to have something fixed, report something or otherwise. I've been hung up on by the office manager before, for no reason. When I tried to call back, I was told she was out of the office and would call me back. Never received a call back. When things in the unit or the complex are broken, they take forever to fix it. The hot tub for example, was broken 3 years ago when I visited a friend. It wasn't working last week when I tried to use it. Though I know they have fixed it before, it never seems to be anything other than temporary. My friends moved out a couple years ago, before I moved in. They tried to charge them for replacing the carpet, which they had to do anyway, because the unit had been lived in for two years. They always blame the residents for incidents, even if it's something on their property that isn't functioning correctly, the gates, the air pump and vacuum, the hot tub, equipment in the gym. Overall, it may be a nice looking place, but with rude and impersonal office workers and the security officer that doesn't do anything to help, other than harass guests, I would suggest you stir clear of this place. read more

I've lived here for going on 5 years. There will not be another lease. This place is going down hill fast. They are allowing a criminal element in and no longer care about their tenants safety. When we first moved in the office staff knew us by name, were friendly, responsive, and we felt safe. In the preceding years the staff has changed hands fully in the leasing office, they are short with residents, ill mannered, and above all see you as a number. There are advisories that go out about muggings in the parking lots, the lights are often out in the parking lots in phase 1, the parking situation is poor, I've personally seen people smoking pot on their balcony and in their cars, kids running rampant and damaging cars and property, dog owners not picking up after their pets, trash not being thrown away but instead being dumped around the dumpsters or it is spilled when the trash truck comes to empty the dumpsters, etc. I could go on for days about the disastrous conditions at this complex. The only thing they really seem to care about is any reason they can find to fine you. I've not received a fine because I follow my lease but maybe they should pay attention to the safety, security, and well being of their customers (the residents) rather than filling their own pockets at the expense of those living here. If you want to join this over priced, poorly managed community then welcome to the slums. If instead you want a safe, peaceful place then I recommend you keep looking. read more

I have live at Riverhorse Ranch Apartments for two years now. I have paid my rent on time every month and have been a great tenant. However the management team feels the need to harrass my children whenever they are outside. This apartment has a REAL big issue with people living outside of the complex coming in and using the ammenities. 95% of these people are kids that come in and damage things, egg apartments, knock on doors and run off, and they even have had the television stolen from the club house. Since this apartment has a limited courtesy patrol, AND I MEAN LIMITED, these kids are able to hop the fence and come and go at any time. Even when you call courtesy patrol, they don't come down. Sundays the apartments are closed and with NO patrol out the pool during the summer on sunday is RIDICULOUS. Elbow to elbow kids with no parents around and no one to tell them to get out. I took the role of telling the kids to leave, but that only had the parents from across the street come over and yell at me, and the parents inside the apartments telling me it is not my job. THEY ARE RIGHT!! It is not my job, but unless I do it, I receive lease violations because my children know the culprits and stop and talk to them and we get in trouble. I asked the office what they would like my kids to do when they are at the basketball court and these other "outside" kids show up? It was stated "well in order for your violations to stop happening, your kids should get up and go home. They are guilty by association" WHAT??? So I pay rent there, my kids are allowed to be in certain areas, AND we have to leave? I even had the one courtesy officer who happened to be walking around CURSE at my daughter because she was outside walking to her friends house. Last time I checked, we are allowed to leave our apartment, take walks if we want, enjoy the fresh air. The apartment calls it "loitering". I call it a bunch of baloney. If they had round the clock courtesy AND the managment staff took care of the outside problem instead of harassing the people inside, it wouldn't be an issue. read more

Overpriced apartments, awful location, but the biggest problem was their unprofessionalism. To elaborate, they switched apartment units on me at the very instant I showed up to move in. The unit they gave me hadn't even been properly cleaned or turned over prior to my move in, especially the rug since it wasn't new. They also wouldn't pay the fee the electric company gave me for having to hook up power at another apartment after I had already set up utilities at the prior apartment I was supposed to be living in. Finally, they unfairly kept my deposit after move-out stating that the rug needed to be cleaned, but I cleaned everything prior to move out including the rug (remember the apartment wasn't even cleaned prior to my move-in). Worst of all was when I attempted to contact them several times by email and by phone to ask about the deposit they never returned any of my correspondences and just ignored me. I know it is hard to find apartments out there in Austin in 2016, but I just wanted to share my story and that I think you can do better than Riverhorse Ranch. read more
