I've been having panic attacks every morning for the past few years. The session was only about 15-20 minutes, but her touch was gentle and didn't hurt at all. Incredibly, my daily panic attacks disappeared completely for about two weeks afterward. Jessida came back to the gym yesterday, so I participated again. This time I only had about 10 minutes because the gym was about to close. I did have a mild attack this morning, but it seemed better than usual. I started seeing Jessida for acupuncture in the fall of 2023 while she was at Root and Stem in Oakland, and followed her to her new beautiful practice in Albany, Rivers of Qi. I have had acupuncture treatments sporadically over the years for specific things but I have never seen someone regularly until Jessida. When I first started seeing her it was because I was experiencing a variety of things including sleep disturbances, grief, stress, skin issues, my shoulder just hurting all the time, weight and appetite fluctuations--a delightful combination of things that apparently happen to women in their mid-late 40s. :/ When I quickly realized western medicine was pretty useless for these issues, I decided to see if acupuncture could help--and never left. I started seeing Jessida for treatments regularly and I cannot overstate how skilled, gentle, intuitive she is. I don't know how else to describe her other than magic. If I come in with allergies, she treats them and they go away. My pesky shoulder acting up, no pain the next day. Sleep is going off the rails and I'm waking up at 3am again, it regulates. I'm just generally stressed and mind racing, I feel calm and am able to settle. I have been meaning to write this review forever, and I'm moving out of the Bay Area in a month from now and am down to my last few visits with her. I've been seeing Jessida for acupuncture for over 1.5 years and her care has been pivotal in my journey to getting pregnant and my overall well being throughout that process.
