I came here for boat parts early in the summer and was treated very nicely by the staff. At that time I told the cashier I would be back for service one day, we'll that day came and the didn't let me down. They got me right in the next day, ordered all my parts and had me turn key ready in a week . They even took care of a few things that weren't on the list known by me. Cannot say enough positive things about our experience at Riverside Marine. So here we are 70+ years old enjoying our retirement in our lake house in Lewes, Delaware. We had owned a Pontoon Boat for years, sold it about 10 years ago, and now with three grandchildren decided to buy a smaller deck boat to pull the kids on innner tubes around the lake. We decided on a 16' Bayliner Element; perfect handling size for these old geezers. After a horrenous experience with a local dealership; tried to pull the old bait and switch. We saw online that Riverside Marine carried the exact boat we wanted to buy. And, although Riverside was more than a 2 hour drive away, we gave it a shot. We were immediately impressed with their sales person during a phone call to set up our appointment. When we arrived we were equally impressed with their health protocols for social distancing and mask requirements, etc. The staff was incredibly helpful, codial, and just down right nice to deal with. The icing on the cake, so to speak, was the significant amount of money we saved compared with what we had intended to pay for the same boat at our local dealership; Riverside actually gave us a special discount, no insignificant, for make the long trip to do business with them. I would not recommend Riverside to anyone. I am writing this review because I had to listen to Matt tell me about how important his family's reputation is to him in operating with integrity, and then watch him behave in a way that was, in my opinion, inconsistent with his words. I purchased a used Yamaha 240 SX from them for $34,000. I traded in my old boat. They gave me a price on the trade, but then lowered the trade in price based on a bunch of "mechanical problems" that they found with my boat and trailer after they inspected it. This resulted in a reduction of several thousand dollars on my trade. Although I thought they were being unfairly critical of my my boat, I accepted the lower trade-in amount to get the deal done. Before I took delivery of the Yamaha, they told me that shift cables were stiff and would have to be replaced, but later decided that they just needed "adjustment." When I picked up the Yamaha boat, I told Matt I was going to bring the boat to the Yamaha dealer in Delaware who works on my Wave Runners to inspect the boat. Matt said "no problem, let me know if they find any problems." When I told Matt that the Yamaha dealer said that the shift cables would have to be replaced at a cost approaching $1,000, Matt suddenly had a problem. He told me that I took the boat for a test ride and I thought the shift cables were fine. I told Matt I don't even know what shift cables are, so I would have no way of knowing if they were fine. Needless to say, Riverside refused to make any contribution to the repair costs. I fault myself for not getting the Yamaha inspected by a knowledgeable jet boat mechanic before purchasing it. However, this is for those who are told by Riverside that Riverside will make good on any problems after you buy a boat from them. Based on my experience, I would not trust them to keep their word. read more

We just purchased a 2018 Bayliner vr4 from Riverside. After being disappointed with a local Bayliner company I called Riverside to see if they had a vr4 available. First of all Matt in sales was amazing. He was so genuine and up front about everything which made spending that kind of money on a new boat much easier to swallow. We drove three hours just to buy from them because I was so impressed. Shorts Marine who is only 30 minutes from us wouldn't allow us to sea trial before purchase but Matt at Riverside volunteered for us to do it and even had the captain take the tube out during our trial since we hadn't done it before for our 9 year old! The captain went over everything about the boat from engine to hull and everything in between. He was very knowledgeable about everything including boating laws and even what materials were used inside the hull. Once we got back, another super nice employee walked us through options to purchase for upkeep and cleaning where we ended up purchasing a tube. Finally we sat down with a very nice lady from financing and filled out paperwork which took very little time. We left there feeling completely happy with our purchase and grateful for the opportunity to get it through such a terrific company and group of outstanding individuals. I cannot recommend this place enough. They treated us like family and I would not hesitate to drive 3 hours to buy from them again. read more

This place is horrible! I purchased a boat from them and the entire experiance was a joke. The day I went to pick up the boat it was filthy, decals on motor comming off, and the on the water training they say you get is a joke. I have owned a boat before and knew the basics but never had one with a fresh water system, toilet ect... he never went over it and when I asked he blew it off . I was told that the decals would be replaced and to this day one year later they still have not honered what they said. This was a brand new boat and it broke down on my third trip out on it and they told me to find another dealer near my location because I was too far from them?? one hour drive REALLY. Their service department never gets back to you. I have called, e-mailed and actually talked to the owner without a response. The boat had a onboard electric cooler that never worked from day one and they could not find a dealer to repair. Funny because when I took it for service at another marina they got it replaced under warrenty! I really beleive they used this boat for shows and took parts off it when they needed them and never put them back on. This cooler was not new. Also boat had a fishing package with outrigger mounts installed from factory but they wanted me to buy the poles !! bull crap if you tell me it don't come with them take the pole storage bags out that were stuffed under the sink and the rigging kit that was in the storage compartment. They must have needed the poles on another boat. Anyway please be aware of this place !!! Don't buy a boat from them and expect them to stand behind it! I wish I was able to select No stars for this crapy company. read more
