I had a wonderful time great place to workout and enjoy nature.. I had so much fun it's a great picnic area

Jogging trail has terrific views of the Chattahoochee River

Riverside Park is, as its name suggest, right on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, right at the Roswell/Sandy Springs line. I discovered this wonderful place when looking for a safe place to jog, and I've spent a couple of days here every week for the last year. There's a paved jogging path (you'll find the occasional cyclist who forgets that they're supposed to stick to the bike lane a few feet away) that runs for about six miles from one end to the other, but you could certainly loop around and put together even bigger mileage without repeating your route. Many people also bring dogs and babies, so be mindful of that, but if you're just looking for a nice place to get in an easy run, this is level elevation and a well-shaded, lovely place for it. I always go during daylight hours, but I see plenty of joggers (male and female, in pairs and alone) while driving to work at about 6:45a.m. and it looks very safe then, too. There's a splash zone for kiddos, and a stage where the park hosts music events and outdoor movies during the warm summer months. There is no off-leash area for dogs, which is my one and only complaint. Overall I feel that it's a pretty (terrific views of the river with turtles the size of dinner plates) and well-maintained park, and in an entire year, I've only seen one busted car window. That's the kind of thing that can happen anywhere, so I won't hold it against Riverside - they have a pretty steady police presence. Just be mindful of taking your valuables with you and hiding anything that looks tempting to a would-be smash and grabber.

Nice park for kids to play, with playgrounds, restrooms and open space to run around. This park does have a walking trail, however most of the boardwalk and paths are underwater as of 3/13/2022. (See pictures attached). Hopefully, once the river recedes the trail will be usable again. This park also connects to Don White Park. To get there take the side walk past the church.

This is where I begin and end 80% of my runs. It has great clean facilities and is the midway point on Roswell's 12 miles of riverside fitness trails which run along the Chattahoochee River. It's a beautiful area, relatively level, safe and clean. It's part of what makes Roswell a special place, in my opinion.

This park was awesome! I didn't get a chance to explore the trails so much but came here for Memorial Day Weekend. There was a performer coming on stage and they were setting up a huge inflatable tent thing for that during the day. There were a ton of happy families here with picnics, kids, bbqs, etc. Seemed like a very well maintained park. We unfortunately only found a couple of little piers where we could view the Hooch but heard that there was a trail hugging the shore a little ways away. Next time, we'll have to explore that!

A wonderful place to watch and look at the river. You can often get some fantastic pictures around sunset. I have seen all kinds of wildlife here. The trail is nice for walking my dog or riding your bike. You will see all types or people here which is part of its draw. It's a shame so many people litter here. The river is full of mostly recyclable materials. I will definitely keep coming back here.

Came here for an employee picnic and it was a great location to offer a variety of outdoor activities on the river. They are great volleyball courts, outdoor gym stations, and great jogging trail as well. Great place to bring the family.

OH BUT THE PEOPLE WERE GREAT!! This park is perfect for outdoor summer concerts due to its sheer size and ginormous stage. Also, the play areas for children are thoughtfully located to the far left and right of the stage while the bathrooms are centrally located right up front. Tonight was our first time visiting Riverside park. While we do attend concerts on the regular, we are accustomed to a park that has luscious grass, meticulously manicured lawns, beautifully landscaped areas, integrated seating and beautiful mature trees that provide ample shade. This park is just the opposite so our general comfort was slightly compromised. Yes, we're spoiled! Tonight's musical act was just waaay too mellow for us. We are accustomed to a rowdy good time with great audience participation, (regardless of the genre). Tonight's audience was very chatty and seemed more interested in socializing than listening to the music. Since this was my first visit, I could not tell if this was related to the mellow music or the dynamic of the crowd. This group played their own unfamiliar music, so I found it difficult to connect with the music. The female vocalist shared an interesting story about a song she had written and then proceeded to sing the song. My husband and I could not understand a word that she sang so we lost the entire point of the song. Overall, I just felt that the music was too loud and overshadowed the voices which could have been avoided if the sound system had been properly adjusted. We decided to leave during the break and we were really taken aback by the people around us who were concerned that we were leaving. I felt like a dinner guest abruptly leaving before dessert. We explained the situation to them and they were very understanding and it's always nice to have people appreciate your presence. I actually look forward to seeing a couple of them in my neck of the woods in the next week. Despite the concert, the evening ended on a good note and we were able to avoid the crazy traffic by leaving early.

Hidden Gem! Awesome park located near Chattahoochee Nature Center. Beat the heat with their splash pad! $2.00 per person entering, purchase of wrist band required.

This is a nice park with a splash pad for kids. There's a small fee for the splash pad but worth it.

Being honest, I thought Waller Park was part of Vickery Creek until I saw that it's its own park…read more As other reviewers have said, it's definitely a hidden gem, because it's a very small park, but it serves its purpose well. The name of the Waller Park Extension game are fields. Several different fields litter the area and I counted at least 4, crammed into this tiny foot print. Parking is surprisingly very spacious and in fact, there's a lower parking lot that's just behind the City of roswell office that you pass to get to another area of the park. Down below is more parking, as well as yet another soccer field. Front and center at the main portion of the park is a nice children's play area, that was being taken full advantage of by kids, and strategically placed near the play area, were benches for parents to sit and watch or just for anyone to sit and soak up the day. Park up keep is very clean and well put together. I didn't see one stray piece of trash, which is pretty cool! There is an aquatic center to the left of the park (if you're facing the children's play area), but i'm not sure if it is affiliated with the park itself. There are no hiking trails here, but my guess is you're not coming here for that, and that's cool. If you have kids, play sports or just live close, this tiny little park is your little secret. If you're looking for a hike, or a monstrous mega park, you wont find that here. Nice, clean, small park with lots of parking that gets the job done. Definitely a fan!
