They've billed me before consulting my Medicare and Tricare for life supplement. I paid, but then a few weeks later they refunded me my paunenrolled and stated my balance was some 50% less. Awful awful customer service. Back and forth for over a year now on incorrect billing. This is absolutely ridiculous, would not recommend anyone attend any of the hospital partners. I had imaging a week ago at Ohio Health on Refugee Road. Everyone at the facility was very kind and helpful. However, getting the results is another thing. I am still waiting for the results of my xrays. I tried calling to find out what is taking so long and just got passed around from one person to another with no resolution. I DO NOT recommend this practice and will go somewhere else in the future if I need additonal x-rays. read more

Terrible, terrible excuse for a customer service department (in billing). I'm not sure the "representative" understood or comprehended English. Even though the ultrasound at OhioHealth itself was great, I would hesitate using this company again (as if there was an alternate choice) because of billing problems. My mom was seen by Dr. Alhajeri at Riverside Methodist Hospital a year ago for an aneurysm and he refused to treat her until surgery and she passed 17 days later. I feel like he was neglectful and my mom was very symptomatic and sent her home and did not listen to her or my concerns due to her condition and dismissed her new symptoms said they were not related to the aneurysm. She passed unexpectedly a year ago Monday the 19th. It's my understanding that Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates are a nationwide third party group that analyzes x-rays that are taken locally. Mine were taken at Riverside Methodist Hospital. When you provide your insurance information to Riverside Methodist Hospital, it doesn't pass onto Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates, who read the X-ray. Note: the misleading name of this group, Riverside Radiology, makes it sound like it's a local group, further confusing the matter. After the procedure, Riverside Radiology sends texts indicating that you need to provide your insurance info. They provide a link and a phone number where you are to contact them. The first thing they ask for at that link is your Date of Birth. Certainly sounds like a scam to me. I've learned that it's not a scam. In addition, I've learned that it is difficult to contact them by phone. If you don't provide your insurance information to this group, they won't be able to bill your insurance. Generally I'm happy with Riverside Hospital and Ohio Health. But I will be careful to ask if there's a second bill for the reading of the x-rays before scheduling my next mammogram. I'm not a fan of the company Ohio Health chooses to use to read their X-rays. A company whose first contact with you is to request your insurance information. Ohio Health will probably lose my business due to what they put their patients through in this matter. read more

I had an x-ray done at Riverside Methodist Hospital. I don't in the least question the competence of the radiologists, but billing has been a nightmare. I provided my insurance info three times: at the hospital, by phoning Riverside Radiology and speaking to an associate located somewhere on the Indian subcontinent to judge by the accent, and finally with their online billing service. Two months later they still haven't submitted a claim to my insurance, but they continue to send me dunning emails insisting that I pay the bill. I am saddened to have to take the time to write a review lambasting the Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates (RRIA) billing department, but my experience is as bad or worse than other recent reviewers on the internet. RRIA 'mistakenly' sent over $2000 of bills to collections just five weeks after I was in the hospital (Riverside) in June of 2021. This was before they even attempted to bill my insurance company! They further complicated matters by billing for a place-of-service as 'inpatient,' when in fact, I was an outpatient. This has caused numerous denials of payment by my insurance company. I have now conducted five long conversations with these folks since November of 2021 trying to resolve both the reversal of the collections process and to get one last bill coded correctly as outpatient 'place of service.' From what RRIA tells me, the reversal of the collections process was put in the system on December 13, 2021, with a projected completion date in '4-6 weeks.' It is now February 22, 2022 and they still have not completed this process - with no estimate of when this will occur. [Keep in mind that they knew of the collections error in July of 2021, but did not trigger a reversal of this process until my third call with them on December of 2021!] This billing department is the poster child for unconscionable behavior and incompetent operations.
