The room is so comfortable and well decorated, with a spa worthy bathroom. There was a kitchenette which was perfect for packing lunch for the beach, and breakfast, provided by Colleen, your gracious host, is out of this world. We've stayed at the five star resorts on the south shore, and the Leialoha Ti stands tall next to them. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great getaway to relax and recharge the batteries.

Only critique is that 2 overhead light bulbs were burned out. I found new bulbs in the supply closet and replaced them. Condo is located on the Makai golf course. Pretty view looks out towards the ocean. Quiet and peaceful complex. The pool is clean. The hot tub is out of service with no repair date predicted. Despite these shortcomings I plan to return next year.

We were very excited to have the experience again and paid 2,600/week for a wonderful looking rental next to the beach. The price of this property was in line given location and size relative to the others listed on their website. NOT. We arrived at a house which was much older than appeared in the pictures on the website (scary flashback to online dating experience right now). It was a 2 bedroom with an additional master suite loft; we quickly discovered that one of the bedrooms was filled with mold as one of our party cannot tolerate it and couldn't go into that room. The floor in that room was not redone like the rest of the house; it was faded linoleum with what looked like cigarette burns all over it. Upon moving one of the beds to another room so that it could be used, there was a hole about the size of a golf ball that led directly under the house. Now in Kauia in this kind of house that actually means it leads outside, as there is no built basement AT ALL. Within three days, one of the burners on the electric (eek) stove had burnt out, the ballasts on the fluorescent lights in the bathroom and kitchen were fried (they're old, just fiddle with it a bit to turn it on said the realty - ??! huh?? I don't want to do that on vacation) and the dryer blew out. The worse is in this tropical paradise, we discovered many of the screens in the door and skylights had holes in them, so mosquitoes were streaming in day and night. The house had no broadband and promised a BBQ, which turned out to be an old portable hibachi that had rusted out, under the house. We had to call the realty to bring us another one. When asked why they would rent a house in such disrepair for this amount of money, they said, they do not really manage this house, they merely handle the bookings. What I ask is the point in renting a house all the way from New York City with an agency which can't quality control the condition of a property???

I had to leave Kaua'i the same day in order to make it in time for the funeral. My husband immediately called the owners and explained what was going on and they said they would cancel the rest of our reservation; HOWEVER, there was no mention of a refund for Tuesday-Friday. When we contacted them asking them for a refund, or even a raincheck to use later, they claimed that they would not unless the room was rented again. How was that to happen with ZERO days notice? I understand completely that the owner cares about their rental income, but what kind of COLD, HEARTLESS person would not understand and attempt to accomodate in this type of situation??? It is truly a shame because it was an adorable studio; HOWEVER (again) I WOULD NOT recommend that anyone attempt to rent this studio due to their rigid, unwavering rules. I am so appalled by their actions that I wish I could give the owners a negative number rating.

The food trucks were right outside of our building which was convenient. The service is impressive! If you need anything the staff delivers it to you almost immediately! The unit is large and comfortable for 6 people. The towels are skimpy but order more and they will bring them to you. We got mor beach and bath towels, otherwise you are washing towels everyday. The shampoo, conditioner and soap is good! No need to bring your own! The only thing I can say negative is that the roosters will wake you up if you are in the smaller bedroom. The master bedroom had no problem with the noise but I sure did. One thing that really helps is closing the windows but then you don't get the breeze from outside. Next time I will bring earplugs. I would definitely stay here again.

We stood in a 1 bedroom unit with full kitchen and living room and when I went to the living room, I noticed the old, dirty couch. It was caked with dirt, saggy, and there was a patch on the couch. I sat on an accent chair instead and started to smell something funky. When I got up, I smelled the chair and it STUNK like arm pit! It was so gross! I didn't want to say anything but when the person who gifted us points asked how the room was, I had to be honest. They immediately called the resort to get us into a cleaner room and the resort was going to upgrade our room. Fantastic right? However, it was not an upgrade, it was the same room layout, in a different location. In general, the resort is old and needs MAJOR upgrades. There is no air conditioning, which meant all the windows had to be open and to our surprise, we heard EVERYONES conversations and some units were able to see directly into ours which made it extremely hard to have any privacy. I wouldn't recommend this place and it's a shame because the staff are very sweet and professional.
