This is an INDEPENDENT CHILDREN'S BOOKSTORE and while I haven't had the pleasure of visiting in person, they have impressed me incredibly with their guest service. We were looking for an indie bookstore to support when putting together a group gift for a friend's new baby. Spark Books's website has a user-friendly interface that allows you to keep wishlists and search books and prices (even comparison shopping between editions), then seamlessly order them. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to order online with them. What impressed me most was their guest service. I received swift confirmation of the order, an estimated arrival date, and when it came time for contactless delivery, they called me to notify me they were on their way. I had mentioned in the notes of my order that this was for a friend's baby, and they gift-wrapped the order AND hand-wrote a congratulatory note! Small businesses rock, and even in hard times, Spark Books is truly showing their colors as one that cares deeply about the community and their customers. In the COVID era, they continue to keep their website and Facebook up-to-date and take COVID precautions seriously, including masks, in person shopping by appointment, limiting people in the store and online orders with contactless home delivery.
