The staff did not ask me to write this review. I've lived here for over a year, and we are renting before our house purchase. I do not regret living here. The pros: work out room pool club house ample parking little to no noise issues friendly and informative staff close to lots of destinations (from corporate storefronts to mountains) über pet friendly high ceilings 60-day notice (instead of typical 30-day) The cons: posted speed is 10mpg and not always followed sometimes tenants don't close the walk-through gates behind them drive-in gates seem to be broken often Some rat-fink tenants partied it up and caused the previous privilege of 24-hour access to the gym to be limited to a new time restriction: 5am - 10pm. If management had a crystal ball and could prevent these numnuts from ruining this for everyone, I'd buy them all cookies. We face north, sort of east, and it's quiet on this side. We walked through all the floor plans and opened the patio doors and windows to test our sound tolerance. There's plenty of parking: open, carport, double level garage and single garages. We didn't get hit with hidden fees...we read the fine print and asked a sh-- ton questions. We're annoying that way. :) I suggest you raise your annoying flag high whenever you make a financial commitment. Here's what you should know..."basic" rent is for the apartment only. The "upgrade" models are more expensive by about $40 - $50 / month, last time I checked. There are extra fees for a parking space that is not open. Washer and dryer come with apartment. Do not pay rent using your VISA; there's a heart-attack inducing processing fee. Your pet will need to pay rent. Recycling bins fill fast. For a fee, there is extra storage available around complex. I'm giving 4 stars because of the constant gate issues. read more

Not very handicap friendly. They use the handicapped parking to park their golf carts. When I brought this to the attention of management, she became very defensive and acted annoyed that I would bother her with this. 1 star because of location to light rail and mountains . The other star because my friends and I all moved into the complex together. Good times were had as young professionals in a new city. Other than that terrible. New management has been horrible and leasing office is rude. Maintenance deserves a star but because you have to deal with the leasing office to get to them the star is lost. Moving out soon after multiple years living here. Everyone I know that has left has. Wen destroyed by fee's upon move out. Most I have heard is $5,000.00. Will update once I move out. Took care of my place and I have an old unit without the upgrades. Have a feeling I'll be the sucker they screw to pay for their "upgrades" as I have seen by past experiences with other prior residents . read more

Office staff are very kind and responsive for the most part. Maintained has been quick with my small requests. It is extremely quiet in my building other than the traffic you would think no one lives here. Nice pool, hot tub and work out room. Parking can be an issue but after expressing my concern to staff they told me they are taking care of it. Which it really hasn't been taken care of. read more

the hidden charges that they don't you about: 1. you have a sheridan address yet you have to pay the city of denver and englewood for your water. 2. add that your water bill is based on square footage and the amount of occupants is unfair if you are single. so add about another $60.00-$75.00 on top of your base rent. 3. you pay 50$ a month for covered parking and they don't clean the parking deck or the lot. all in all with your utilities including cable runs about $1600 a month give or take. closer to 1800 if not paid on time aka the 4th or another $300 if you have to go to court. not worth it........NONE OF THIS WAS MENTIONED BEFORE I SIGNED MY LEASE!!!!! read more

The apartment complex itself is okay, and the outside is well maintained. The rent, while high, is in line w/ other apartments in the area. Every apartment comes with a balcony and you can keep a propane grill on said balcony, which is nice; there's also ample storage. Besides that my year here has been tedious and I will be moving out as soon as I'm able. For starters the location, while close to lots of different places, is difficult to find. If you're like me and use Uber/Lyft for getting around on the weekend be prepared to give LOTS of directions on how to actually find the complex, it's exceptionally difficult to find/get into if you've never been here before. Speaking of getting into the complex - the keys that open the gate work sporadically at best, I've had several conversations with management about this issue and they've never done anything to help me, in fact, they tried to charge me for breaking the remote. They don't let you know when a package has arrived at the main office, they take the time to write you're apartment # on the side of the box with a Sharpie but won't actually contact you in any way if you've received something. I've lived in DC, Detroit, and Omaha in the last five years and this is the first time I've had to deal w/ this issue. When I brought this up to the management they gave me a look of disdain and told me that "if you ordered something, you should know when it arrives" and "we are too busy to send everyone an email" (it's almost like they have no idea how to shoot off a hundred form emails at the end of the day) this was especially cumbersome during the holidays when I literally had to stop by the office every day to check for packages. Snow removal is a major issue. They don't plow the parking lot regularly after snowfall and after a few days it all turns to slush and ice, this week it also took them DAYS to shovel part of the sidewalk. Management has accused/fined me because they claim I didn't pick up after my dog. When I asked for evidence they told me that a worker saw a "young woman not picking up after my black dog earlier in the day." I'm a single guy with a Chocolate Lab who works all day and I always pick up after her; when I brought this up to management they contacted the guy who issued the complaint (a worker) who gave an even more vague statement ("I saw someone walking a dog, it may have been a lab, it may have been something else, it may have been a guy, I didn't have my glasses on") they fined me a $100 anyways and threatened additional fines if I didn't comply, I threatened legal action and haven't been bothered about that issue since. Management ALWAYS parks in the already sparse parking spots with their golf carts. It's a little thing but when you're driving around for a spot in the winter and see some jackass in a golf cart parked front row you get a little upset. Management allows random people to park their cars, for an extended period of time, right along the gate. It's a minor issue but having cars parked alongside the security gate makes the entire area look a little trashy. Overall the apartment has lots of OK amenities (workout room, swimming pool) and the individual apartments aren't too bad if you're a young professional, but the management is rude and abrasive, some of whom enjoy arguing and yelling at you instead of being helpful (for example I showed up at 8:58 am on a Saturday morning to see if a package had come in and the white-haired lady working in the office yelled at me b/c they don't open till 9am and I was being rude by interrupting her morning). It's a little ridiculous, honestly. read more

I have lived here since July. We started out loving the place. Our apartment is beautiful. The management has been very nice and helpful with any information we needed. And I love that they are here 7 days a week. The pools great, I love the gym. Things have since then gone down hill a bit. We have loud neighbors above us, that bang on the floor constantly all day long. My husband sleeps during the day, so this is pretty inconvenient. Neighbors leave windows open, or dogs on their balcony during the day, which leads to excessive barking whenever I take my dog out, they do have poop bags for dog cleanup, but hardly anyone uses them. I've seen poop on the sidewalks even. One of the women in my building also has sent her dog downstairs off of the leash while she stays up stairs. Crazy. Currently my biggest concern with this place is that on Friday, we found a bed bug in our bathroom. I have only seen the one. And today(Tuesday) they are having a exterminater out to go through our place. At which time me and my 2 kids, and husband, and dog have to be out of our place for 2-4 hours. I appreciate that they are getting someone out here quickly, but I have never had a bug problem in any place I've lived, and for the price of these apartments I would have expected them to be clean and bug free. I am very disappointed with the downhill slide this place has taken since we fell in love with our apartment just 3 month ago, But we will definitely be moving once our lease is up. read more

I've only been at Riverton for 3 months and really enjoy it! For me, it is very conveniently located near the light rail, shops and downtown is less than 15 minutes away. The leasing staff has been very friendly and quick to help with any maintenance issue. The pool is fantastic! read more

Very nice, modern apartments. The washer and dryer in the unit are key. Staff is friendly, pool is really nice. We have a balcony facing Hampden, and all of the things on the balcony are caked in soot from the traffic. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem if you had one of the many other units that don't face the busy street, but it is a downside. Other than that, it is a good place to live, and very affordable compared to the city. read more

Roommate and I have lived here for a year and extended our lease. Very reasonable pricing for the influx of residents to Denver. Have run into a couple of maintenance issues and parking is not consistently available, but the staff could not be friendlier. Love the pool and gym, very happy with our time spent here. read more

For the most part, my apartment is nice! Very spacious and huge patio! The two complaints I do have is that the downstairs neighbor passive aggressively pounds on the ceiling when they deem us being too loud. The other is another neighbor allowing her dogs to pee on the stairs leading to the parking garage. It's gross and you should feel ashamed. read more

I've had a few unpleasant conversations with Samantha, (I think she's the manager) she's not the nicest person. However, Gigi and Chery in the front office are the sweetest and friendliest women I've ever met. They are always so helpful and kind. Maintenance is very fast and efficient and have always fixed things to my liking. I really wish they would put in a bike rack as my bike is pretty heavy and I live on the third floor. This deters me from riding my bike which is very unfortunate because it is an opportune place to do such an activity. read more

The front office is very helpful! Maintenance staff is very prompt and easily accessible. I would like to see a community bike rack instead of having to carry and make room on your balcony for your bike. Being so close to the light rail and the Platte River trail it's a perfect place to utilize a bike. read more

My husband and I moved into these apartments in May of last year. Initally, we were very impressed by the staff and the apartments/grounds. We were even presented with a "happy move-in day" package filled with cleaner, paper towels, etc. The pool and gym were clean and well landscaped. I thought, "WOW! I am going to be so happy here!" ...could I have been more wrong?As you will notice from the property, there are security gates in the front and back of the property. They are closed the majority of the time during the summer, but once it snows- forget it! They keep all the gates open to prevent cars from smashing into their property. It's absolutely ridiculous. I remember placing a complaint to the manger of the property after it had stopped snowing. It took them over 72 hours (of no snow) to shut the gates and that's only because I complained. You also need the gates because there are many homeless/sketchy people who walk around on the Platte River trail. The snow removal in this place is a total joke. Snow blows into the stairwells and the staff are too lazy to come shovel the stairs and hallways. I was in the gym once and saw them shoveling off the deck of the pool, while all the walkways were packed with snow. Really smart. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. I know that housing can be a shortage in Denver, but you'll thank me if you look elsewhere. read more

The apartment complex is decently maintained, the hallways will have litter in the same spot for days. I find the apartments to be loud, the person above me is incredibly loud and my neighbor has dogs that howl, both of which I have to listen to every day. Parking is terrible!!! I drove around the complex one night looking for a spot that was uncovered, none were available, I had no other options but to park in a covered spot where no car ever parks, within 2 hours my car was towed and cost just over $300 to retrieve, they never gave me a satisfactory answer when I asked where I'm to park when no spots are available. The towing company bent my door frame and scratched the paint but that's a different issue. They sent out the e-notice for rent 3 days late and charged me a late fee as well as placing a letter on my door for late rent, even though it was their fault for this. In a nutshell, management sucks. On the upside, the apartments themselves are nice inside and the pool is fantastic. Location is great too with the light rail across Santa Fe. The office girls are friendly and very helpful. read more

My boyfriend and I have had terrible experiences with apartment living, so when it was time to find a new place to live we had been looking at the Riverton because it looked so nice! We've been here for almost a year and we really like it. We have never had any noise problems or rude experiences with the staff. The only issues we've had are people parking in front of our garage leaving it difficult to get our boat out....but hey, their garages are big enough to store our boat!...and we have complained about that and nothings been done. People do tend to speed and we've complained about that as well...but i dont knwo what they could do besides put up MPH signs, which i think they did put up. It is a gated community, but it may as well not be...so the other review is definitley right about that. The gate is open a lot and we get numerous flyers tapped to our front door. Other then that we absolutely love the pool, work out room, and hot tub. We've made great friends with our neighbors. I've noticed this complex is full of younger couples that tend to live here before purchasing their first home. The building is solid and updated. Very dog friendly....my dog has so many friends here! I love living so close to target, costco, panera bread, chilis, and texas roadhouse. Concidering all the other apartment complexes around here, this place is definitely the best. Cops are never being called, not to many white trash people, noise has never ever been an issue, its very clean and great maintenence crew. We've yet to come across hidden charges or being lied too, but i'm keeping my fingers crossed that wont happen when we do move out. There is going to be people you don't like at every apartment complex, but this one has the least amount of trashy people! All in all, i think this is a great place to live and i'm really happy here...but we will be looking to move so our dog can have a backyard and thats honestly the biggest reason we want to move. The apartment has tons of windows and is bright! Many times I don't even have to turn ont he lights bc there is so much light from all the windows. There are many different layouts to choose from. I live in the smaller 2bed/2bath and Its a perfect size for me, my boyfriend, our dog and kitty. The master bedroom bathroom is great with a huge walk in closet. Love the huge bathtub! I tried to be honest and real in this review...there will always be problems in apartment living...but we've had the best experience here. So i recommend it. read more

I have been living here for a year now, and looking to renew my lease. The prices are very decent for the amenities, newly built, spacious models. I feel the pet rent is a bit expensive 40$ a month plus $300 overall rent for cats and dogs. You would think for cats it would be cheaper. Parking sucks, but it's tolerable. read more

These apartments are very new and in very good shape! Really like the layout of our 2 bed/2 bath and the 9 foot ceilings are very nice as well. Lived here for about 6 months now and really no major complaints. Only complaints so far are: people not picking up after their pets, lots of bugs being close to the Platte River, and very minimal parking. Absolutely the worst apartments lived in ever. They're nice inside which is about all. The master bedroom has flooded 3 times now (we're on the 1st floor). They cant seem to fix it, but they're in breach of contract due to not compensating us for our unusable area. We've had issues with both of the toilets in the apartment at least 5 times and they still don't work properly. Our hot water has gone out twice now. They told us we could have a grill, any size, then say we can't due to fire restrictions. The parking is a joke here. We're in the process of switching to a new management company and we've contacted them about these issues and they still have not gotten back to us. It's been almost a week now. For the price you pay ($1500 in rent alone) for a 2 bedroom, this is unacceptable. Don't waste your time or money to live here. read more

Beautiful apartments. Ive lived here almost a year now. There are minor problems to every apartment but over all they get the job done. now for a list of complaints: -the pool is so loud it interrupts sleep on the weekends. They play the radio so loud when no one is at the pool it has woken me up on certain mornings. -The office girls are the most miserable women in the world. All of them must be going threw a power trip or menopause because they act like they hate everything about themselves and the people that rent from them. There is always tension between the employees and managers so thick you can feel when entering the room. These ladies must think they have it real bad working in a/c all day, playing on the computer. If Mike wasn't their in the first place i would have never rented just on the fact that customer service sucks. -icey walk ways in winter. I asked to have extra melt or sand in certain areas in winter it took them until i sent a hospital bill to the office for them to listen to me. I made threats i would sue them and not until they got the bill did they listen. (again a huge problem with the women that work there) -leaks under the carpet. I bet anyone $100 it gets blamed on me for this spot in the middle of the carpet that was constantly wet. All winter i left a towel there because it kept getting my socks wet. -parking is horrible. I ended up buying a space because parking is s bad yet most of the complex is already bought so there isn't even enough room for residence. -maintenance are perverts and thieves. They steal underwear from my laundry basket and enter into closets and dig in drawers. petty things have been stolen like dvds, underwear, costume jewelry, cash, and they never leave the house as it was when they enter. I also have a horror story about one of them trying to open my bedroom door when i was half naked on the other side. overall, this place is horrible to live in and will be until someone else is in charge of running it. one last note I have one month left and they want to charge me a non refundable fee for watching my mothers dog for a week, its $400. read more

The staff is very nice and always accommodating. When I originally signed my lease I worked with Mike. He is awesome. He always seams to go above and beyond to help out in anyway. The property is new and always kept clean. Anytime I have needed anything maintenance wise, they were always very prompt in getting it done for me. Great walking paths/grass for dogs. Has really been a great living experience! The staff has been very friendly and helpful, and whenever we have had an issue (and we have only had 1 minor problem with an appliance) they were right on it to fix it the next day! Great access to the south platte bike/walk trail with access in all directions. Great access to downtown via light rail and drive is short as well. My boyfriend and I recently moved out of Riverton on the Platte because our roommate (his little brother) and we decided to go our separate ways in regard to our living situation once our lease was up. We felt that their one bedroom was too pricey so we looked elsewhere. I miss our apartment so much! Our place at the Riverton was the nicest apartment I have lived in. There were little to no issues and small things such as needed your light changed was fixed immediately. They are a little pricey and that is why we did not sign for a one bedroom there, but if you can afford it - do so! We moved across the street to the Alexan City Center and it is AWFUL. There were never any issues with other residents, the management team (well... the old management team), or maintenance. There are issues with all of the above at our new place. Riverton just had a new, clean feel. We had several windows, newer appliances... I just miss it so much now that we settled over here (at $1000 a month for a one bedroom). I wish we would have just stayed at the Riverton and paid the $100 more a month or whatever it is... we downgraded for sure. Riverton was a nice home for the time we lived there. - Careful of the new management though, the fees and whatnot our different from when we signed. read more
