Living here has been such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The move-in process was incredibly smooth thanks to Jessica and Michael, who were both so helpful, welcoming, and organized. They made what can often be a stressful process feel easy and seamless. One thing that has really stood out is how quickly maintenance requests are handled. Anytime something has come up, the team has responded promptly and resolved it right away, which really shows how much they care about the residents. The community itself is quiet, safe, and very well maintained. The location in Highlands Ranch is excellent and convenient to everything, while still feeling peaceful and comfortable to come home to. The amenities are beautiful and always kept very clean, which makes the space even more enjoyable. A special shout-out to Sara, who does an amazing job keeping everything spotless. Her attention to detail does not go unnoticed and truly helps make the community feel welcoming and well cared for. Solana made it SOOOOOO easy to move in. I moved from out of state sight unseen and they were absolutely fantastic. The unit itself is beautiful and has amenities I did not expect such as dimming lighting and remotes for the fans and dimming lights in the bedrooms. There are some issues with the build (if it rains, it does have some issues) but other than that they have been more on top of things:) This was my previous review. I have lived at Solana Lucent Station for a few months and am disappointed with their definition of luxury. Webster's dictionary describes luxury as: noun lux·u·ry \ lk-sh(-)rē , -zh(-)rē \ 1 : a condition of abundance or great ease and comfort : sumptuous environment * lived in luxury 2 a : something adding to pleasure or comfort but not absolutely necessary * one of life's luxuries b : an indulgence in something that provides pleasure, satisfaction, or ease In contrast to how the property is advertised, the following have been my experience: - the gym and spin/yoga rooms are the highlight of the property ... however, there has yet to be a spin or yoga class scheduled - pool is never heated ... management claims the original boiler required replacement but state the replacement is not sufficient to heat the pool adequately - apartments constructed using poor-quality materials with cheap fixtures and low-end appliances - property management appears to ignore quality checks when taking possession of buildings from construction - inadequate HVAC design/layout in many units; one room will be comfortable whereas another will freeze - garage doors will often open by another tenant whose opener uses the same frequency (you come home and your garage door has been open all day) - on-site dog park has artificial turf which isn't cleaned ... it reeks of urine and feces which can be smelled by tenants in the buildings that oversee the park - poor or non-existing sound-proofing/insulation as normal noise from neighbors is extremely loud - commercial trash bins constantly overflowing - personal packages are regularly lost or go missing - dog washing station regularly has no hot water - Douglas county sheriff deputies onsite multiple times a week at all hours of the day and night - criminal activity has occurred that rose to the level which required multiple SWAT teams - community designed with poor personal safety considerations: 1. no vehicle speed control or speed bumps on property streets 2. no locks or cameras on breezeway doors to prevent criminals from entering and lying in wait 3. breezeways of many buildings have a single ingress/egress door with insufficient clearance to safely egress from the building without stepping in front of passing cars ... there are no concave mirrors, street painting or stop/caution signs for drivers and drivers have no warning when someone will step in front of them Management has been made aware of these issues, some of which have been ongoing since the property opened. However, they're most often ignored or blame is deferred to the property architects and poor design. For a community that charges one of the highest rents in Douglas county, you might consider another property. read more

I feel sorry for any neighbors that have had issues, but nothing negative to report on my end since moving in, in January. Soon after moving in, my husband and I were locked out after hours, and Dennis called back within 5 minutes to help us out. My car is parked outside and I have never had any issues with finding parking or feeling unsafe. The gym is hands down the best one you will find, at any apartments, within a 20 mile radius. The pool heater was broken, yes...in the property's first winter. Not a big deal to me, and the place is still under construction, so I do not find this as much as an offense as others. It is working now and is very nice. With the free month rent, the monthly cost is very on par with similar properties. Plus, because of all the LED lighting and energy efficient appliances, utilities are insanely inexpensive. The gas range was also a must for me, and almost no other properties have this amenity. The stackable, full size, washer and dryers are also a huge plus. As far as noise, we live on the top floor, and told our neighbors to let us know if we are ever too heavy footed. No complaints thus far, and we rarely, if ever, hear anyone else (windows usually open). All and all, very good experience and my husband and I will likely renew when the lease is up. read more

I used to love my home at Solana, but it has gone downhill tremendously. * The company website makes a huge deal about "resort style amenities," but they are not functional. "Updates" from the management lack any substance and provide no accountability. The hot tub has been broken for about a year. The pool has been broken since the fall of last year. The website boasts of a "salt-water" pool, but this summer, it was replaced with chlorine. The last "update" we received is that the boiler is broken (again...though it was replaced about 2 years ago). Pool and hot tub MIGHT BE working by May 2023. * In the last week or so, there have been 2 smash & grabs in the parking lot. * Dog feces everywhere! Management does not hold residents accountable for picking up their dog messes. At times, the little dog park has been covered in feces. I finally stopped cleaning up after the other residents in there. * Package room has been broken into numerous times, leaving the door handle hanging. I have had packages stolen, despite the service that I required to pay extra for and promises to keep them secure. * You will see police monitoring for drug deals on Plaza Circle - 100 feet from the complex entrance. I have found a crack pipe and needles in the adjacent field when walking on the sidewalk with my dog. * A homeless person was/has been using the dog wash as their showering place because the door lock is/has been broken. It is still not fixed. (Solana Luxury = Unlimited free bathing for the homeless where RESIDENTS pay the water bill.) * The gas stoves don't actually vent anywhere, and the fire alarm constantly goes off when making meals. If you really enjoy cooking, these kitchens are not agreeable to that. (Also, Google information about gas stove ventilation and the toxic air it creates.) * The parking situation is terrible! I have to pay $5 a month for each car, and that does not guarantee anything because there are not enough spots for the residents. No street parking within a half a mile. If you park on Plaza Circle, you will be ticketed by DoCo because it is a "No Parking" zone. * Wyatts will predatorily tow your car, even if you pay for the service. * East facing parking is all "compact car" spots. So many dings on the door of my car from people squeezing non-compact cars into them, due to the lack of parking. * Since parking is terrible, I pay $140 a month extra (on top of the $5 for each car) for a garage, but it is also so small - I can get the cars in, but I cannot open the driver-side door to get out. * The garage door was also not always functional after it was provided to me. It would not open 5 times. There was an electrical problem in the building that caused this issue. When I requested a credit due this, I was ignored. * Not enough hybrid charging spaces for the number of hybrid cars of the residents. Due to lack of parking, gasoline cars will have to park in the charging spots. Friends with hybrid cars get screwed over all the time. * The garage doors are also set on a radio frequency - and often opened by another tenant who on the same frequency. Yup, that's right. Garage doors left open all day. * Lights/fan in each room are also on a radio frequency. Same problems. Lights/fan go on and off in the middle of the day and night. * Every single window in every single room leaks because they were installed incorrectly. You can physically see the gaps in my apartment windows. * The heating and cooling designs/HVAC layout is absolutely inadequate. One side of my apartment is freezing while the other side is sweltering - and it is only a little over 1K sq ft. (This is not luxury at all. This is basic engineering gone wrong.) * My AC broke last summer (3rd floor and 95+ degrees each day) and it a took a week for it to be fixed. Requests for follow up were ignored - despite the fact that I have a medical condition which causes me to pass out in heat easily. I had to get very upset before the issue was resolved. * The exit doors of many of the buildings spill out into the roadway and this does not allow residents to safely exit their building. On a few occasions, my kiddo has almost been hit by passing cars zooming by. * People smoking weed all the time when it is supposed to be smoke free community. * There is not a quiet spot anywhere on the premises, though we were told/promised differently when we toured. The school across the street is constant noise, their driveline blocks the road, parents leave their engines running while waiting in line, so the toxic fumes spill into Solana...and not to mention the noise from the highway. 2 years ago, I would have jumped at the chance to recommend Solana, but not anymore. read more

Overall, very pleased with Solana at Lucent Station! As with any new property there have been some issues but the current property manager was not on site when most of these buildings were built. She, and her staff, were forced to "pick up the pieces" from the previous manager. Given what they have had to deal with, I think they have done a great job and are taking significant steps to remedy the remaining issues that they face. The dog park issues are being dealt with now that it is spring and the weather is warm enough to allow for a proper cleaning of the area. Hopefully, they will come up with a solution for the winter months between now and when snow returns in the fall. Once it was brought to their attention, the maintenance team has worked to mitigate the odor and come up with long term solutions to the issues. Also, the pool issues are being fixed soon. I suspect that the delay was due to the difficulty to repair things in the cold weather. These are apartments, and not custom homes. Residents in Highlands Ranch often forget that fact and expect the fit, finish, and quality to match that of the $600,000 homes that they grew accustomed to. That is an unreasonable expectation. Given that these are apartments, the overall quality is above par when compared to the surrounding area. Patti, Diamond, Nicole, and Dennis are passionate about their residents, and do a spectacular job in dealing with any issues that may arise as quickly as possible. They are friendly, welcoming, and do a spectacular job of handling some of these major bumps with grace and a remarkable level of professionalism. If you are looking for a quality apartment, with a spectacular management staff then come on by and give Solana a look. read more

Parking is unavailable! These apartments are beautiful with several amenities; however, if you arrive past 7:30 pm, there will be no spaces left to park. Parking permits are required with a fee of $5 per month, yet I have no guarantee of a parking space. This is the worst parking dilemma I have experienced. read more

Gorgeous property away from the city, but not too far. Best pool by far with mountain views. No need to join a gym, the gym on site is huge with weights, cardio and a yoga studio. I can work on my golf swing in the lobby or read a book (they have a huge library selection). The interior of the apartments are gorgeous too, pretty grays and modern fixtures! I can sit here and pick this apart from all angles, Solana Lucent Station is not what it seems on the cover. We have had a mountain of problems with our stay here. We have had terrible experiences with the property manager Patti and the head of maintenance Daniel. There are extenuating circumstances that are ongoing and they seem to refuse to fix the issues presented in the apartment. We have been without heat in 30 degree weather after coming back from Mexico on vacation to find out our hot water heater was triggered off and a pipe burst in the walls. Leaving several inches of standing water that influenced the team to cut a huge hole in our wall and make us pay for running a fan 24/7 until it dried out over two weeks later. I also had to instruct the team that a sucken subfloor is a result of standing water as well and I wanted someone to inspect under the flooring for mold in the unit for days and after they pulled the baseboard and a large amount of mold had built up between the baseboard and the wall which indicates to Daniel and confirmed with my influence that there was further damage. Now we are out of AC for weeks even after 5 failed emergency maintenance requests to fix the problem. We are currently sitting in our apartment with two animals in 94 degree weather waiting for someone to communicate a resolution to the problem we are currently forced to live with. I realize it seems like we are being a pain with all the problems we have had from the start but we have been informed that the HVAC was an issue before we we moved in by the head of maintenance stating they had called someone previously to work on the unit because it was presenting issues that were beyond their capacity before. We have expressed our experiences with the maintenance people several times and he states the procedure that he needs to take to ensure the unit is "actually " broken before actually getting someone with the appropriate skills to diagnose an HVAC unit is way beyond the reality of what anyone should be subjected to in the peak summer months of Colorado. Our first maintenance request was on May 11th and it presented issues since we moved into the unit. If it were winter and we were out of heat or if any of the staff that currently resides here had any of the problems we have been forced to deal with there would have been immediate action taken. Unfortunately, we've had poor experiences with management and feel like we are being taken advantage of by management. With our rent being just under $2,700 a month, we expect some sort of call to action when people are in emergency situations with animals. We have been forced to drop what we are doing since May 11th to accommodate for the maintenance teams access to the apartment. We are moving to call corporate and inform them of our problems because it doesn't seem like we are a priority. I have pictures of all the problems in the unit from the freezer and ice machine in the refrigerator being broken to liners inside of cabinets being ripped off holes in my walls no paint over filler from the previous Tennant's grease on the cabinets and the water pressure being an issues basic things a painter and cleaning service should take care of before someone moved in. They show off the amenities like it's a gift to have them but don't keep anything working we have lived here for almost a year and a half and the hot tub and pool have never worked simultaneously together. Also there was a short or cross in the lights connecting to the fire pit and if one went out the whole system goes down. The grill area is a mess and nobody maintained it, along with all the patio furniture that is greasy from sunscreen and stained from algae growths. A lot of the tanning chairs are broken the TV in the yoga room doesn't work as it's supposed to, you can't play through the speakers. The fan above the weights in the gym doesn't work and two grills around the complex dont work. It's beautiful on the outside but leaves something to desire. read more

Stopped at this complex about a month ago on a weekday approximately 2-3 PM to possibly tour the property, which was on our radar as a potential new home. Office was completely locked up with simply a sign on the door about being closed and a note if this was an emergency to call 911. I waited about fifteen minutes in case a leasing agent was giving a tour before leaving. No one here in your office on a weekday afternoon?? Moved out, specifically asking in regards to early lease termination. Was told one thing, and assured they'd be flexible if our home search was delayed. After move out, we get slammed with a $3000+ bill because the property manager and assistant apparently likes to be interpretive about the meaning of actual emails (and to leave out details when asked about fees). The rest of my stay here was mediocre at best. Want zero sound proofing and subpar living arrangements? By all means, live here. read more

This place is aweful. We lived there 3 years and it was continuously worse the past year. There was a disgusting smell that seemed to be coming from a wall in our apartment. I smelled it in the hallway outside too at times. The smell of sewage. Maintenance told me at is ChatField Reservoir smell blowing in. He said I am not going to tell you how to live your life, but get some scented candles or plug ins. It is just Chatfield. The cabinets come off hinges they are so cheap. They came to fix one twice and my husband finally took two minutes because they never did it right, it never came off again. Our refrigerater was breaking and I was told it has faulty wiring and they were getting us a new one. We will keep you posted, many many many months later....NOTHING. I guess their excuse is they just cant get parts. I was told they were looking for a different fridge, too. Now they want to charge us for a trashcan we never received for trash pickup in the hallway. NOPE also. We always carried ours to the dumpster because that is disgusting to leave in hallways. They are not going to competently fix anything, and a lot of BS because they don't enforce policies with dog poop or noise either. RUN Don't WALK AWAY, at least for your health and sanity. read more

I hate having to downgrade my review from a place I used to have a very high opinion of, but right around the time we re-signed our lease we have been encountering endless problems. The biggest issue here is parking. To park here you must register your car ($5/month), and nobody who is not registered as either a resident or a visitor may park. Of course, that rule gets broken nightly. Every night after 9:30p it becomes incredibly difficult and not guaranteed to find ANY parking spots, and management REFUSES to tow people. People who pay for a "guaranteed" open parking spot end up having to park illegally and risk getting their car towed, while management refuses to tell Wyatt's to tow instead of issuing empty threats of towing (which the offenders by now understand to be empty). This has been brought up to management repeatedly by me, my husband, and other residents I have spoken to. I cannot speak to the experience of the other residents, but I know that every time my husband and I complain, management responds by telling us, "you know, you could buy a parking garage". The bottom line is that instead of fixing the problem, management's "help" is to suggest that we pay an extra $100/month (give or take), on top of already high rent, to solve a problem we had no part in causing. To be honest, this feels like extortion to me - we did not cause this problem but are pressured to pay $100 a month to fix it - but perhaps that is why Solana does not bother to tow the parking offenders, if it pressures people into increasing their profit margins. Ultimately, it is sad for me to leave this review because I truly feel this property has so much potential, and we did really enjoy our first year of living here. The mountain view is great, although unfortunately there has been construction going on right next door (not Solana's fault, but something the residents have to deal with nonetheless) that somewhat decreases the atmosphere between the noise and the dust clouds they kick up. The pool is very nice when it is working. There are lots of open spaces close by. The gym is nice. However, the direction management has been taking in the recent months has been making this property steadily go downhill and makes me question whether they can really call themselves a "luxury" complex. A luxury complex should not be nickel-and diming for poor quality services. Other examples of the nickel and diming: -Valet trash for $20 a month that repeatedly does not get picked up for days -The trash company appears to have no regard for recycling, which is very disappointing as living in a place that at least tries to minimize the impact on the environment is important to us - had we known this Solana does not recycle we would have thought twice about living here. I sent an email asking for clarification on recycling procedures and have heard nothing back -You have to pay for mail delivery, but the mail room is a total mess with packages all over the floor -You have to pay $3.50 just to receive your bills (?!) because they will not deliver them any other way -The parking as addressed in detail above: $60/car for a "guaranteed" spot (I hope you like parking illegally on the curve if you ever stay out after 930!) -For a place that caters to an ourdoorsy community, they only have four bike racks which are uncovered (so the expensive bikes take damage from the rain, snow, and my handlebars have literally started to melt in the summer sun), despite there being many places to put in more bike racks -Management tried to charge us to re-key the apartment despite there being an administrative safety issue that they did not handle well. As much as I loved my first year here, this place appears to be going steadily downhill with management's policy of nickel-and-diming for everything, while delivering poor quality end results. For the amount of money charged in rent, the customer service and amenities should be better and we should not be dealing with parking the car across the street and hiking home at 1a. read more

I just wanna say both of us are exceedingly disappointed with this place as it is beautiful and we've met some great people that doesn't outweigh the failures of management and the staff here. Do I recommend anyone to live here moving forward? absolutely not. Aside from all of our personal problems with management and our unit itself there's a long list of amenities that need to be fixed along with the parking always being an issue. Overall I would say this location is not safe, since we moved in there's been break-ins and stolen vehicles from the premises. Overflow parking forces residents to leave their vehicles on the street where there's no cameras to protect our property. I have personally witnessed over 10 vehicles with smashed windows because there is not ample parking here. Some of the best and most alluring features of this property don't work and I mean the pool, hot tub, grills and fire pit have been an ongoing problem since we moved in over a year and a half ago and has not been resolved to this day. Everything is filthy and needs a good cleaning. We've had an absolutely terrible experience and I don't typically leave negative reviews, it hurts me to say that management has failed us immensely. I read the bad reviews on this place before moving in but still gave them the benefit of the doubt, all the issues were right. Carefully consider your options outside of Solana Lucent Station. Patti is absolutely fantastic. Patti is on top of all of the resident's needs. The apartments are very nice and the facilities (the gym, pool, hot tub etc.) are insanely nice. If you move here I would suggest only speaking with Patti. She is spot on, professional, helpful, courteous, and knows her stuff! Dennis handles the maintenance. He is absolutely wonderful. He can handle any situation that may occur and he comes with a smile to greet you, even if it is in the middle of the night. read more

I saw a five star rating from a Gregory B for this place and totally disagree. I was looking for a place to rent here and went to the dog park today and could not stand the smell. We all know that the apartments are not $600,000 homes but they are the highest priced in Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree, so they should be exceptional in upkeep. I asked several people how they like living here and everyone said as soon as their lease is up, they are out. I am allergic to smoke and saw several cigarette butts, so how do they say this is a non smoking apartment. I am glad I did not make the decision to move in. read more

We have lived here since December 2017 and we love it. It has everything we need even though we don't get time to use lots of it due to work commitments. The apartment we are in is quite roomy, about 1200 square feet. The management, including maintenance are always happy to help. I am not sure about the negatives wrote about the apartments, that always happens, cannot please everyone. If anyone wants to contact me personally about the apartments feel free. We have met some wonderful people here, mostly pet owners. So many things close by, bars, eateries and shopping. The only fault we had was the ceiling fan in the apartment bedrooms, they use to come on at night on their own, this has been rectified, they were on a similar frequency to some of the others. We get emails from the management to say there is going to maintenance work as well as pool parties and similar functions, just cannot fault anything about living here. read more
