Dr. Nelson has been a lifesavor. After several unsuccessful attempts to schedule an appointment…read moreelsewhere, Kenny with Dr. Crystal Nelson of BluePrint Psychiatry was able to accommodate us. Dr. Nelson is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain things thoroughly and completely. She was always on time and very easy to reach. It is extremely gratifying to have a doctor that is available, caring, most importantly competent. She turned a stressful situation into a hopeful experience. We are indeed fortunate and incredibly grateful to have found her.

I was desperate and tried to express my concerns but felt that I was being overlooked. I decided to see a different psychiatrist in another practice. She immediately recognized that the meds were counteractive and took me off of them and started me on a new med. I began to feel better. Another concern I had was trying to reach someone when I needed the support. The new doctor responds very quickly to my concerns. The final concern I have is the fact that the last time I was in the Blueprint office I was really struggling and when I didn't return there didn't seem to be any concern as to why I never came back. No one ever reached out to me to see if I was ok.

Took my brother in law to see John. The first meeting, he told us he'd like to see us on Mondays…read moreand Wednesdays, then scheduled us for Thursday. When I asked "oh I thought u said wednesday" his reply was, "I can't take you Wednesday, I'm booked up". Simple mistake but I believe it was foreshadowing. We had an emergency session because of some bad things happening. I called him Monday and he said "I will put you in for 6pm on Tuesday", I said "that will work and will give me plenty of time to find a sitter for my 3 year old". Carrollton is 45 minutes from me so it's not just around the corner. We drove all the way out there only for him to ask me "oh do we have a session today?" What?!?! Why was he acting so surprised that I was there?!?! We had scheduled this session less than 24 hours prior! I told him "yes, u told me to be here at 6 when we talked yesterday". He said "oh I didn't know u actually wanted it. I was waiting for you to call me back and you never did. That must have been a miscommunication, but I have somewhere else to be at 6:30pm so I don't know why I would have scheduled you for 6pm". This meeting was to discuss some very harmful things my brother in law had been doing, and he knew this was a VERY important session as we had discussed that on the phone. I also MADE SURE to tell him that I would be there at 6pm on the phone. He even asked if he needed to find an assistant to watch my 3 year old in the event I couldn't find one! No apologies, no rescheduling for it.. nothing. My brother in law was seeing him Mondays and Thursdays(Thursdays were virtual) and he asked "am I still seeing you Thursday though?" I was beyond mad and just said "not sure". He did continue the session because this is for my brother in laws health and I don't want to stand in the way of that just because I'm mad. Today we decided to send my brother in law back to public school starting Monday. I'm not sure what was said in their session but I know it lasted only 20 minutes and not an hour as scheduled AND John said he had to drop our case because my brother in law was going to public school. I planned on canceling sessions anyways because I knew it would be hard but was planning on doing so slowly because my brother in law is autistic and doesnt do well with sudden change..but he instead dropped our case suddenly with no explanation which seemed wierd to me. He then said we could just use the school system for further counseling needs. Which we all know isn't as helpful as finding a regular therapist on a regular basis and sticking with one he has already built up a relationship with. My brother in law is autistic and doesn't do well with change and the therapist knew this but dropped him very quickly and within 20 minutes of their session anyways. The lack of communication between him and the guardian of his patients, the sudden changing of sessions and the sudden drop of further sessions are reasons I would not use him.
