The memory care staff were ok, but the problem was with the director and one of the nurses. In addition, we were told that there were two nurses on staff 24-7. That is false. One of the "nurses" just sits in her office all day and we never saw her with the residents. She also changed a document in the computer after I had asked for a copy of it. The director is ok, but very arrogant. Our loved one also was able to get out of the facility and climb a flight of stairs at around 2:30AM!!! They never told us!!! We found out by accident!! They also left soiled clothing in the bathroom for hours with the door shut. The room smelled atrocious!!! The bathroom was not cleaned very well either. Feces was left dried on the walls, shower curtain and the floor.

After we got her home, she would scream for help at night, thinking she was still at Rivertown. She was high maintenance, so they took her help button away. She kept trying to escape, and staff reported me as suggesting she climb out the window, which is ridiculous and offensive. Some staff did not appreciate constant visits from her children, and our questions about her care. Overall, it was a traumatic experience for our entire family. Partly, my mom was just not a good fit.

They say they issued a check, nothing received so had to open dispute with bank. They charge one month rent and then a FEE which is another months fee (same as rent) that's nonrefundable). They allow people who should be in a nursing home at these facilities with health issues that shouldn't be here. My mom wanted out of her lease after seeing some medical emergency in the dining room on day 1. They also promised my mom an updated room like they showed in their model. She got an out dated 90s junk with hole in door. They have one elevator that always breaks down the residents told us first hand. The 2 guys in the front office Matt and Mike swindle people I highly recommend to steer clear of this place!

He is on a sliding scale, therefore, you don't know how much insulin to give if you don't know his blood sugar. He was found unconscious, seizing, with a blood sugar of 28. He suffered a stroke as a result of extremely low blood sugar. He was placed on a vent, and later discharged on hospice. One week later, he passed. Do not send your loved one here. My family has been through hell these past few weeks. We asked for this records and they all show his blood sugar was NOT checked that day.

Im not sure if any one in management even went through elementary school because they can't do the simplest of things. The amount of Illegal things that go on Around this place is ridiculous not sure how they are still open. There are really bad bed bugs in two of the builds and nothing is really done about it. There are some residents that should be in Psychiatric facilities that are there because they are lying on evaluations just to get people in there for the money. residents families pay so much money and residents can't even eat when they want. There are no snacks NOTHING!!! Management is not helpful at all. They mess up the schedule and don't help fix it when we don't have staff. If you love and care about you loved ones DONT NOT SEND THEM HERE!!!!!!!!!
