We were there a number of years ago when the current owners had just taken over and we enjoyed it then and we enjoyed it again early August. This room was much nicer on the first floor with a balcony. The owners were away but had friends looking after things. She was very friendly and accommodating. The staff doing the breakfast were great. We enjoyed it outside with other guests. One of them even gave a cutting from one of the plants to my wife. When we were checking out we wanted a bottle of water but didn't have change so the lady said just take it and we will replace it.. very nice gesture however when we got home and reviewed the credit card charges realized she charged my card! Which is fine, the right thing to do as she was not the owner. We would stay there again if in the area for sure. read more

On the banks of the St. Lawrence River, in view of Grenadier and several other of the area's 1,000ish islands, is the perfect little B&B. If you're leisurely ambling your way from, say, Toronto or Kingston to, say, Ottawa or Montréal, it's the perfect night stay-over. The rooms and bed were large, bed and couch comfy. Bring whatever you caught in the river as there's a BBQ on the community patio, along with couches, lawn chairs, and even a hammock! There's a lot of space and a great view of the river. You'll want to take advantage of the area surrounding the B&B, as there are plenty of walking and biking along the forested river banks...quite beautiful! The breakfast was great, with bacon, sausage, home potatoes, bagels, bread, cereal, fruit, juices, and someone there to make you eggs to your liking. Stayed for one night in June. I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast. Our room (Chianti) was immaculately clean and very spacious. The free breakfast was excellent with a cooked to order omelette. Value for money and a great location. read more

Very unprofessional in answering the phone, just a hello, never identified the business or who was speaking. Didn't return calls or answer questions very well. But we booked anyway because of location and reviews. Then the first day of our trip both my husband and I got violently ill. Tried again the following morning and still couldn't travel. Finally decided we would have to delay/reschedule our trip. When we attempted to cancel our reservation we were told they have an iron clad 7 day cancellation policy. No exceptions. They are the ONLY property that refused to cancel. If they had allowed us to cancel this reservation we would have happily rescheduled. We are rebooking our trip for a month from now and will stay with their competitors. This is the first bad review I have ever written and I hope it's the last. read more
