There are two separate swing sets, two for older kids and two for younger kids. My daughter had a blast exploring, though she spent most of her time on her favorite spot: the swings. There's also a trail nearby, perfect for getting some steps in. I wish Bellevue had a park like this! Btw did I mention it's not even that busy on a Sunday?

If you are planning to visit and not handicap please use the "west" parking lot. Just a heads up there is a sign we saw after we had already been there for hours. When we came a family was having a birthday party in the gazebo. It looked like a great place to have a party. The place is fenced in and good for 2 year olds and up. Shade is great in the summer. But there seems to be a lot going for it for those living in the area or visiting. There's a community center with a pool, restrooms, water fountain, a trail where you can walk and ride your bike around, a playground, covered picnic areas, accessible parking and a large open space in the center for just about whatever your heart desires. Located in downtown North Bend, it's easily walkable from the businesses and many residential areas around. Nice to know that the city of North Bend has a great community space to go to. I came here to enjoy my takeout and take a break from hiking, and and was happy to have such a large open space to myself. Well, it felt like I had the park to myself even though there were others around. Now I know where to go in North Bend for when I want to relax outside.

Built in the 1930's, it is a former WPA project. Until the early 2000's, it was part of the King County Parks system when it unceremoniously closed in order to save money. Fortunately, local community members banded together and formed King County Metro Parks. Visions were shared, plans were made, Public Bonds were proposed and passed. In the past several years we have seen the property and building transformed. It supports and/or hosts many classes and local events, including Family entertainment (Family Night), a variety of seasonal craft shows, Haunted House, Festival at Mt Si, North Bend Farmer's Market and much, much more. There's a local pool which offers classes, inexpensive swim sessions and rental for parties and events. The Community itself is also available for events. But if you really want to experience it for yourself, come out for the Farmers Market and free concert (featuring local bands and musicians) every Thursday afternoon throughout the summer, OR come to the Festival at Mt Si over the second weekend of August. There's a lacrosse field and soccer field here. Restrooms are like the ones you'll see at any park in WA. This is a good place to watch the paragliders who take off across the street, too. I saw there are nearby trails but haven't ventured out there. Located in a quiet area, I've passed here dozens of times but this was the first time I've stopped. No one else was here. Good place to stop to park and take a walk as well. Saw the hours online are dawn to dusk.

This is a great park for children of all ages. There is a large play area with multiple slides on…read moreit. It also has this circular bar that you can grab onto, push off the edge with your feet, and spin around on- for some reason the girls seem to flock to this thing more than the boys! There are some smaller areas for smaller children. There is this really neat contraption that my son calls the Spider, with ropes for climbing. And there's a zip-line that's pretty nifty too. Baseball games can still be caught on the other side of the park. Plenty of benches and picnic tables for parents to watch the games while still keeping an eye on the kids. The other review is pretty old. This place isn't really secluded anymore and it definitely stays busy!

There's a great little railroad-themed playground that my son plays at. They have a fun wooden play set with a metal slide that's very zippy. Also, there's a baseball field that has games you can watch from the tree-shaded benches. I really like sitting there on a sunny summer day while the kids play. All around the park are railroad tracks with old train cars to look at.
