The river view hotel was amazing! The ocean front view at sunset was so picturesque! The customer service, especially Luke at the front desk was extremely friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend! And booked our next trip at check out!

This place is better than what I expected. Newley renovated. Amenities are plush, no carpets (no…read moresmell). Located down the road from a nice beach (can get crowded). The only problem is the mini fridge is a very-mini fridge. Can only hold 4 bottles of juice/water. I would definitely come back here. Especially since it is centrally located to many things.

We really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately had a terrible experience. First of all, it…read moredidn't list anywhere on the website that their lobby closed at 8:00pm, which seems bizarre for a Saturday in the middle of the summer, in a popular area. So at 7:55 we received a text stating the lobby was closing at 8:00 and our keys were in the mailbox. I was super uncomfortable with this, as anyone had access to the mailbox and our room # was written right on the envelope. But luckily we arrived just 10-15 minutes later. Upon arriving to our room, as soon as I moved a throw pillow from the bed, a big flew out and landed on the blanket. Just seconds later my mother noticed another bug on the bed frame of her bed. We called the main fence number and minutes later he arrived, and showed us to a different room. Before putting our stuff down, we checked out this new rom to ensure there were no bugs but sure enough- 3 dead bugs... one on the bed frame and 2 on the ground. The workers response: "the vacuum can't reach the entire area around the bed." We then called for a manager and reported to the lobby, where we expected a refund. We then spent 1.5 hours in the lobby waiting for ANYTHING to happen. The manager on the phone said she had left for the night and was not returning and the other manager was "off site". The two main maintenance men trying to "help" (very rudely!) attempted a refund, but ended up refunding me only 1 cent instead of the over $1000 I had already paid. We called corporate the next day and dealt with them for over an hour. Luckily the corporate manager Chris was very helpful, and did give us a voucher and a refund. However the refund was via a mailed check, so I had to wait almost 10 days to receive it. Overall, it was an awful experience. This place could be great... awesome location, rooms looked nice, etc. but they have a lot of work to do as a business.

We were not sure what to expect after reading some negative reviews…read more We found the room to be very clean with no musky smell. The rooms can use a bit of updating which they are doing now. Only real negative I found were the beds. A bit to soft for me and should be replaced. Parking is plentiful in front of the hotel and more across the street in their other lot. Hotel sits right on their private beach with Red Jacket sister hotels along side. Plenty of beach loungers, towels and umbrellas. Attendants take care of everything. Very nice clean beach so take a nice walk. The pool area is nice with a bar and food close by. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We were having such a nice time we added another day to our vacation. Price for the room is reasonable for the Cape. Hotel is only just over a mile to route 28 with all the restaurants and attractions for the kids. Will be staying again next season!

Updated room still sucks. Gross feeling…read more The mini fridge kept going to 50* so all my food went bad. We had absolutely no wifi. The bath water was pure brown for a couple hours. We booked the "beach front" 1 bed 1 sofa bed room. In the pictures online it looked like our room had a door for the bedroom for privacy. NOPE! It was 100% open and the main bed was directly in the mini kitchen area. So that meant no privacy from our kids. There's no toaster or a microwave but there's a stove that can boil water in seconds. Since there's no rugs and no small area rugs, the floor gets incredibly sandy. I would recommend bringing a broom or swiffer.

We enjoyed our stay in July. Our room was an end unit directly on the beach. Highly recommend this…read morelocation as it was tucked away from the pool area that could be busy at times. The room was bright and clean. We always found a parking spot near the room. I typically shy away from accommodations with direct front door access to the exterior but this was fine. The beach was clean, chairs taken care of and the staff was attentive. Pay close attention to the check in directions as we were confused initially. We arrived on a Sunday and left on a Friday. Best days to arrive and depart the Cape in my opinion. The central location of Riviera Beach Resort is ideal for day trips. We would love to go back!

As you lie awake in the night, among the grains, your mind begins to wander. Why are all the staff golf carts armed with insecticide? Why does everything smell like chemical mold treatment? What exactly happened in the bath tub? Mesmerized by these mysteries, you'll drift off to the sound of an ominous and distant alarm emanating from an ancient ice machine. In the morning, you'll notice that your room is tilted. Sinking? Your inner ear will detect the imbalance while you stumble across the unswept floor to the bathroom. Once there, you'll face the Puzzle Lock of Agamotto, which will imprison you in that damp cell until you tickle the doorknob in jusssst the right direction. When you escape you'll be a certified locksmith. That's free of charge. Unlike the parking, which - SURPRISE! - is an extra $25 a day. On top of the $50,000 a night you have already agreed to. But that's because you sprung for the pool view room. And if you step out onto the balcony and really lean over the rail while forcing your torso due South, you can indeed view it. The beach is super nice though.
