Room with fridge microwave and we enjoyed the in suite & very clean jacuzzi tub. Really good deal with breakfast included and comp drink coupons at Scallys down the road. Wish their onsite Moby Dicks pub was open but it was a Wednesday. Looks so cool with decorations on ceiling & walls. It's next to the heated indoor pool and hot tub. We have stayed here several times over the years. Love that the heated pool truly is heated to a very comfortable temperature, and the spacious hot tub is great too. We have always visited Bayside during the winter months, so we've never had the opportunity to swim in the outdoor pool, but during our recent visit I took a walk around the property and the outdoor pool looks great as well. There are also two fire pits outdoors with several comfortable Adirondack chairs overlooking a wetlands area with a view of an osprey nest. S'mores kits are available to purchase for use at the fire pits. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the free breakfast includes a great variety of breads and cereals, several hot items such as eggs, sausage, waffles, as well as self service waffle and pancake machines. Love the variety of coffee options and flavored creamers. The small hotel pub is actually pretty cool as well with lots of dollar bills hanging from the ceiling and tacked to the walls. The story is that guests have written their names on the bills and have fun finding them on return visits to the hotel. The only downside to the Bayside from my perspective is that the pool is very popular with children and the pool can be very crowded. Bayside has implemented some pool rules (no balls, no glass, no floats) and does not allow children in the hot tub. They also have reserved 10-11 PM as adult only time in the pool. We weren't traveling with kids, so we got up early and enjoyed quiet time in the pool first thing in the morning. read more

All of the resorts in the area are old and run down. This one was a step above what we were driving by and I was happy! Check in was fast and easy. They gave us the free drink tickets and a coupon for a discount at some local restaurants. We booked here for the pools and we did use them a lot over the one night stay. The outdoor pool was nice and had a bar next to it. The water was freezing though! We stayed here for one drink and then moved inside. The inside pool was warm and the enclosed area was very muggy and the smell was bad when you walked in. You get used to it though. There was a hot tub in this area as well. Outside of the indoor pool was a cool bar with dollars all over the walls and ceiling. The bartender was very friendly and told everyone the history of the dollars. The room was clean and the bathroom was fine. The shower area could definitely use an update. There is no elevator, so be aware when booking that you will be using the stairs a lot. Breakfast is on the lower level, lobby main level and our room upper level. Breakfast was good. Lots to chose from and always being refilled. Pancakes, waffles, eggs, muffins, yogurt and fruit to name a few. I would go back if we were to stay in the area again. read more

Absolutely unacceptable experience! We booked a weekend stay here two months in advance and paid a deposit. When we arrived, the front desk attendant was incredibly rude and insisted we owed over $700--claiming we hadn't paid anything, even though my sister's ID was right in front of her. She kept rolling her eyes, saying the manager wasn't available. I had to push hard to get her to call someone for help. Finally, she got the manager on the phone, and surprise: the issue was on their end. She had been spelling our name wrong and confusing us with another guest. Unfortunately, that wasn't the worst of it. Our first night, we grabbed two White Claws at the bar--$14.98 total, and my sister tipped $1 on her debit card. The bartender was elderly, which we didn't think much of--until the next morning, after we got home. My sister checked her bank account and saw a charge for $1,018.98. That bartender had tipped himself over $1,000. Even worse? The hotel admitted they noticed the charge the day we left and didn't bother to contact us. Now her account is overdrawn by almost $1,000, and she was told it could take up to a week for the refund to process. We will never stay here again. And if you do, do NOT use your card at their bar--unless you want to get scammed by a bartender who thinks no one's watching. read more

An old, outdated style hotel. The room was clean although a sloppy job of caulking on the molding on the base of the bathtub really made the bathroom seem shabby. The WiFi was barely 5mbps, almost too slow as to be unusable. An open network also isn't so great, it'd be much better if it was a password protected network. The DirectTV was OK, a shame that there weren't any Pay-Per-View movies that we could find. Now onto the good stuff. We asked for a quiet room and we got a really nice, quiet room. It was very clean and comfortable. The Breakfast Buffet was one of the best we've ever had. Staff at the front desk and in the Breakfast were really excellent. Nice too that you can get decent coffee in the Breakfast room anytime up until 11pm. It's really a 3-Star Hotel, but the staff and really good breakfast bumped it up to 4-Stars. We had booked a getaway for my birthday. The king suite with jetted tub upon arrival we decided to try out the jetted tub only to be met with this black gunk shooting out anytime we tried to use it. I had gone down to the service desk to talk to someone the woman working stated "yes, that's just bacteria those tubs are infested with it. The Only way for us to actually clean it would be to take it apart after every guests stay." So I had asked "so that's supposed to happen we just leave it? That's not very sanitary" She shrugged and went on about her day. We made the best of it didn't go back into our tub (which was the main reason for our stay) went to the indoor pool and the game room because we ended up snowed in and unable to leave. Upon checking out my fiancé had asked to speak with the manager we understood that it was not the woman working the front desk job/or responsibility but maybe not telling guests it's a cesspool for bacteria? The manager seemed horrified and was extremely apologetic. He offered us a refund for our stay and was very kind in all honesty. A day later the refund was posted within just a few hours it was withdrawn from a SECOND time. My calls/emails have been ignored I'd avoid the headache all together in my opinion. read more

We stayed at the Bayside Resort on June 11 and June12 2024 and have to say that our experience was excellent. The room and entire facility where very clean. The breakfast was pretty well done as they had omelets and bacon the first morning and eggs and breakfast sausage the second as well as bagels, various muffins, fruit and many more choices. There was plenty to eat and left full for most of the day. We also enjoyed the views of the Bay while sitting in Adirondack chairs while watching the local wildlife. At night there are two campfires to enjoy. The front desk and other staff were very accommodating. We have stayed there a few years ago and were very happy with the Resort and staff. You won't be sorry if you choose Bayside Resort for your next stay on Cape Cod. read more

Hotel is very dated. Most are on this strip, but the smells were out of control. Musky, damp, old smells everywhere you went made it hard to enjoy this place. Old carpet was probably the culprit. We had a room with the deck, but the deck overlooked the parking lot and took away from the marsh. Also, the breakfast was run of the mill, free, but everything did not seem fresh. Positives, they offer a beautiful spot by the marsh with two gas fire pits. The location is in the middle of the strip and minutes from the beach. read more

Bayside Resort Hotel ain't no 5-star hotel, but it's not very far from it. Let's cut to the chase. Wifi: Yes, there's complimentary wifi. No purchase; no passwords. Just connect and you're good to go. Speed is pretty good too! Can be reached throughout the entire hotel. Fitness Center: On one side of the room, you got a TV, two benches, a bike, several treadmills, and pairs of dumbbells ranging from 4 lbs to 35 lbs plus a single 50 lb dumbbell. The other side, there's a lat pulldown, chest press, cable fly, pull up bar, and dip bar. There's also cups for cold and hot water as well as towels. This is a pretty substantial gym when you're on the go. Game room looked pretty cool. However, everything costs a couple quarters to use, so I didn't utilize it. The indoor pool also looked really nice, although I didn't go for a swim. The rooms are pretty comfy. The TVs have good channels and the beds, although not the best, are good enough for a good night's sleep. The shower pressure could definitely be stronger though. No bugs either. It's really easy to hear noises from the halls as well as outside your windows, but after hours I didn't have any trouble with that. One issue I bumped into was that the A/C initially wasn't working. No matter what temperature the thermostat was set to, cold air still continue to blow. However, after talking to the front desk, two of staff dropped by our room a short while later, diagnosed the problem quickly, and replaced the A/C system. All was well again! Although the issue should've been prevented sooner before noticed by guests, they were definitely on top of it. Finally, complimentary breakfast. You got a waffle maker, cereal, bread with a toaster, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juices, oatmeal, and more. The only things missing that I wished they had were cooked eggs and hot proteins like sausages. But hey, I'm just happy they have breakfast. Can't complain with that. Also, there are patio tables outside, so you can take breakfast out to nature and enjoy the view. This place was definitely a lot nicer than it looks from the outside. Will definitely be keeping this place in mind for future visits to the area. read more

My stay here has been good. Got to enjoy my very 1st bonfire with the family. Bonfire starts from 7pm-11pm They offer complimentary continental breakfast daily from 7am-10am Outdoor pool w a bar and volleyball net - Indoor pool w a hot tub and sauna. Indoor pool - from 9pm-11pm -no kids allowed. They have an inside bar that opens at 5pm. Indoor small arcade area next to the dining room. This hotel has SO MANY KIDS. meaning so much germs . Cause some parents with kids dont teach their kids to cover their damn mouths when coughing. *angry face* The day before our last day of stay here we went to breakfast and some kids and even adults were coughing w.o covering their mouths.... like people really?!?!??!! This is why I always bring sanitizers and wipes with me EVERYWHERE!!! ANYHOOS - I say this bc during the last day of our stay here my 1yr old started to break out in rashes....good thing no fever and during the entire drive back to NY I monitored my baby and made sure she was ok. Upon arriving to NY I took my daughter to her peds and come to find out she caught strep and a virus from someone here who apparently didnt know how to cover their mouth while coughing! Anyways . Lost my prada sunglasses here in the pool area and lo and behold .noone returned it. Cause I looked in the pools lost and found, and also asked front desk. =[ Hope whoever kept my sunglasses enjoy them! Staffs are friendly and place is clean. That's all one can ask for. I would def recommend staying here again . However next time I'd request to stay on the top floor cause the floors are pretty thin and you can hear the upstairs people stomping. Classic New England hotel with a friendly and accommodating staff. Fresh flowers all around the property were a nice touch. Very clean despite bordering sandy areas. Room had everything we needed - lots of towels bath and beach towels, bottled water, coffee service, refrigerator and comfy beds. There is also a line in the shower to dry your bathing suits. We did need to open the windows due to slight musty smell but that cleared out quickly. Outside is a lovely pool area with an ample pool deck and a tiki bar. There is a sandy area that overlooks a salt marsh where you can sit and watch the osprey coming and going from a perched nest that sits high above the marsh. 5 minute drive to beautiful public beaches with free parking. Free breakfast including hot foods. Great area for a little getaway. We would definitely come again. read more

She has been AMAZING and so accommodating during my time there- despite last minute reservations and schedule changes on my part. The rate has been so fair and greatly appreciated. I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel! Stayed this past weekend with my family, and it was an amazing time. This hotel offers everything you might need on vacation, all in one spot. Staff was beyond friendly. Everyone had a smile on their face. Hotel is huge, and very clean. There is an indoor, & out door pool. There is a great tiki bar at the outside pool. There is jacuzzi, a full bar, and even an "arcade". Continental breakfast every morning, with pretty good choices & waffle makers! Behind the hotel there is a beaitful sitting area where you can look into a "marsh". There is also a bonfire pit. I wish I would've been able to sit here at night but I ran out of time. "Moby Dick" bar is the coolest place I've ever visited! You can have drinks and have fun without leaving the hotel. The only down side is that they're only open 5PM-11PM. personally, I wish they would've opened until later in the night. They have this collection of dollar bills through the whole bar, I left my own dollar bills too! I can't wait to visit Cape Cod & stay here again!! read more

Wanted to say, this was one of the worst stays I've had in a long time. For $700 there was no service to change bedding, change towels or empty trash etc. We found a note in the room telling us to "hang dry your towels like at home". Well, I'm not at home; just spend quite a bit of money to have these things done for us. We felt ill after using the indoor pool. Our keycards hardly worked on the exterior doors. I want to express how dissatisfied I am with my experience. The bay-view room was a joke, it overlooked a parking lot! The "pub" was a hangout spot for employees. Only one of the fire pits were lit and it was crowded. This "family friendly resort" was geared more towards an older crowd. We will never stay here again. read more

Probably the best bang for the buck you can get for a non-luxury reasonably priced two-story drive-up style hotel in the mid-Cape area. Entire facility is kept very clean. Housekeeping staff are friendly and good at their jobs (thanks Sonia!). There is an outdoor bar next to the outdoor pool and volleyball court, reminiscent of a caribbean resort. And it's not just for show -- the pool and volleyball court are well-used on sunny days, and the bartender Avril (actually from Jamaica!) serves the frozen drinks with a friendly smile all afternoon. For not-as-sunny days, there is an indoor pool, a game room (with a full pool table as well as air hockey and foosball!), and an indoor pub which opens in the evening. Pleasantly surprised by this motel and had a great stay over the weekend. The staff was friendly upon check- in and one staff member even went out of his way to explain the quickest route to a local coffee shop. (We were craving Marylou's Coffee). The rooms are very clean and comfortable and you have your choice of an indoor or outdoor pool for swimming. There is also an arcade for entertaining the kids. Self serve breakfast is offered downstairs with plenty of seating to accommodate the morning crowd. The breakfast consists of mostly carb- loaded choices including bagels, waffles, and pastry. Coffee is available as well. My favorite part of this motel is the outdoor area at the rear of the building. There is a sandy section of land accented with Adirondack chairs overlooking the marsh. We caught some pretty sunset views this weekend and found this setting very peaceful. There is a fire pit as well which they light once darkness falls. It is a fun place to gather and alcoholic beverages from the bar are permitted in this area. Lastly I must mention the fun little bar within the motel. It is a small room overlooking the indoor pool. A tradition was started here of hanging dollar bills from the walls and ceilings. Hundreds of dollars cover the bar and most are signed by the donors who attached them to the walls. The bartender even keeps markers and tacks handy. There is a whole history behind the tradition which you can read about while sitting at the bar. Thank you Bayside for our wonderful stay. We booked one night of the jetted tub rooms as we were looking for a night away. Unfortunately every time we turned it on, brown scum floated to the top of the tub. On our way out I mentioned it to the girl at the front desk and told her the system really needed to be cleaned. She told us sorry but the manager wont do anything. I really wanted to like this place. After all, you want to like the place you stay in on vacation. Things started off curiously when the check in staff couldn't be bothered to be friendly or even attentive. We were then informed about the numerous activity and offerings geared towards kids (of which we have none). Nice that they have options for those that do, though. We then go to our rooms and they seem run of the mill. It wasn't until that night that we realized the walls and floors were paper thin. You can here EVERYTHING happening around you or even in the hotel. No privacy or peace and quiet whatsoever. The breakfast is passable; your typical hotel chain food. I feel like for what we paid per night, you'd expect more. Maybe this place was better in its prime, but that's not today so it doesn't really matter if it was. If you want a relaxing vacation, look elsewhere on the cape for your lodging. read more

This is not a resort I would recommend to anyone. The staff was very friendly but the online presentation verus reality was VERY disappointing. The King Sundeck Bayview Suite is a joke. The sundeck is a tiny wooden structure overlooking the parking lot with a disappointing view of a salt water marsh in the distance. There was a permeating odor of what appeared to be mold in the hallways and room itself. We cannot comment on the pools, breakfast or restaurant as we checked out early the next morning. Spent a weekend at The Bayside Resort and had a wonderful time. The staff was very polite and welcoming at check in. We had a wonderful room that overlooked the bay and pool area. The hotel is located close to many restaurants that the hotel gives coupons to. We had a lovely afternoon poolside with a delicious Pina colada cocktail. The hotel was very neat and clean. They supply beach towels in your room to use. Our room had a nice size refrigerator. We had a nice time in their little bar area. They offer a complementary breakfast each morning . We used ths indoor pool alot smaller then I would have thought but it was heated.. the firepit was a nice night too! In all honestly...I teeter between 3.5 and 4 stars. After 5 weeks of searching for the most updated hotel for a decent price range on the Cape for Labor Day...I found the Bayside Resort. It was the only reasonably priced hotel with rooms that didn't look the Brady Bunch had just checked out of. Booking over the phone was easy and the receptionist was very informative. But upon arriving we checked in with a fairly unhappy girl. The hotel is really on the main drag which is good because you're near a lot of stuff, like the Island Ferries, but makes pulling in and out difficult because there is always traffic. The room, which is basically all bed, was noticeably dark (limited lighting) and ladies, there isn't much room vanity-wise for your prep work but it was clean with average décor. If you want a window worth looking out of, then definitely book the "bay view" rooms. The hotel itself offers a lot; complimentary continental breakfast (with little kids), indoor and outdoor pool with a tiki type bar and volley ball area (with little kids). Sandy outback sitting area overlooking the marsh with a fire pit at night for smores and general mingling (this was one of the only areas not populated by children). Game room and a great pub that is actually just as expensive as any other bar in the area. Like most Cape hotels this place is super family friendly so there were a few more little kids than I would have liked. You'll basically have to fight the kids in order to get in ANY pool time (I got none). And has a very large percentage of returning patrons but they're pretty friendly. I'd probably look into staying here again, especially because they send great package deals from their mailing list. But being closer to the beach would be nicer. read more

Ahhh - I was beaten to writing to the first review for the Bayside! My friends are all "regulars" here - they hit this place up at least yearly for the summer, and sometimes for long weekends on the off season. I love the bar on site - Moby Dick's - decorated with dollar bills that patrons have written on and thumbtacked to the walls and ceiling. The prices of the drinks are as expensive as the other bars in the area, but hey - at least the commute back to the bed is shorter! And yes... there's kids galore at this place. And the walls are THIN. As in... starting at 7AM you'll wake up to people talking and kids running around and screaming in the halls. We had a handicapped accessible room RIGHT by the pool, so I think we heard everything that went on outside. There really is no vanity or "getting ready" area, and Kristin is right in mentioning that the lighting here is HORRIBLE. Our room just felt perpetually dark the entire time. But, the beds were pretty comfortable, the room rates were quite affordable, the location is right on Route 28, everything was clean, and the staff were very friendly. Yes, I'll be back for a Cape Codder at the Moby Dick while scanning the ceilings for my autographed dollar bill. read more
