I had gone here for a standard cleaning and x-rays in October 2024, the dental hygienist was sweet and did a great job but when the doctor looked at my x-rays he told me I have 3 cavities that need to be filled and 4 that are starting to form. while I was im the process of moving to a different city I ended up going to a different dentist for the fillings but when they retook my x-rays they told me I have absolutely no cavities and don't even have signs of any forming. I don't know how the dentist at riverwest could either be so wrong or lied to me but either way I am glad I didn't waste $700 like they quoted me for a completely unnecessary procedure!!! read more

The staff and assistants are great! They are friendly, polite, and are professionally dressed. My doctor Dr. Reid Bell has a great sense of humor, is gentle with a good work ethic, and covers all the bases to make sure your experience is comfortable. His follow up and patient prescribed after treatment is thoroughly precise. This gives me confidence in a positive recovery as a patient. I had another dentist, Dr Janowski worked on me during an emergency tooth when Dr. Bell was out of the office that was very similar to Dr. Bell's caliber. I feel confident all the dentists that work there are similar in work ethic and patient care. where should I start? I went here for the first time early this year. 2023. I was told I needed a root canal and a crown. I was given a nuber of 1900 for the root canal and crown. I was also told by the assistant, "we offer a 5% discount for cash paying customers, but we are t supposed to tell you that". why wouldn't you tell ppl that? I said wow that is still 500 dollars cheaper than I paid in Arizona. so I call 6 weeks later to schedule the appointment. I ask again for the amount. I'm told it's 2400. wow. miraculously 500 dollars more. they said we never told you 1900. ok cool you guys are liars. whatever though I need it done. so what will it be with the 5% discount for paying customer. "oh we don't offer that anymore". really? so I'm 6 weeks the price went up 509 dollars and the discount no longer exists? Ok cool. So I get it done anyway. Then I go back again get a filling and I have a chip Filling that fell out in my front tooth. My previous dentist in Estes Park CO fixed it for free because it took 5 minutes. Not that I expected then to fix it for free. But I was charged 187 dollars for that 5 minute fix. Keep in mind the cost of living in Estes Park is about ten times more than Idaho Falls. Yet they could throw it in for free. Third time there I feel a cavity. No pain at all. I say to the dentist if you think it will be to close to the nerve just let it go for now I'm on a deadline with A job and I don't want to deal with pain so once I'm done I'll get a root canal. He says it should be fine. Ok. He drills it out and immediately says oh it's close to the nerve you're probably going to have pain and you will need a root canal. Over 400 dollars wasted. Then they have the nerve to call me a few weeks later and ask if I'm going to come in for a root canal. After you ripped me off for 400 dollars? No I'll never come back. now I'm back in Arizona after dealing with the pain for 4 weeks while I worked to make a living I go get a root canal and I call river west and ask for the dentist to have the decency to talk to the endodontist and explain the situation so I do not have to pay for xrays. I was told they would get him and call right back. Never got a call. Nothing. Ignored. Thankfully they felt bad for what he did so they didn't charge me for the X-rays. Bottom line is riverwest dental does not care about anything except their fancy houses. They will rip you off left and right because honesty good business is not something they care about. They care about the money they put in their pockets and they don't care if they rip you off as long as they get their money. In This day and age with the world the way it is and the cost of living ricer west is feeding off people struggling to make ends meet As they go home to their fancy homes without a care in the world for the people who pay for them to make a living. For Dentistry come see Dr Bell and his staff ! They are the best in the business! In today's society we wanna know what your doing and why, I have found that the staff and Dr Bell to be wonderful at this. I don't go blindly to the dentist or the doctor. I am thankful that they explain everything and show you why. Then you come to the actual work on your mouth.. My gums tear when i get shots.. with Dr Bell this is not a problem. Not only do they not tear, but i can hardly feel the novocaine shots going in. That was Awesome! My ongoing dental care now is just easy ! Thank you Dr Bell and all your Wonderful staff! we needed our 6 month cleanings done and felt like we were at a sales pitch the whole 2 hours of time they took. worse cleaning I ever got! tried to sell me a lot of bullshit along the way. my boyfriend and I went thinking we'd get a teeth cleaning for $100. it's a joke and an expensive patient consultation. it should be free for what they do. prickling your teeth and trying to make a plan they don't even clean your teeth unless you pay more. fraud. fake dentist! if you actually need work done they will send you somehow else after they waste your time trying to sell you a dental subscription! if you do the math you end up paying more for everything. makes me sick this kind of operation is legal! read more

This place is just a bunch of scam artists! My wife had a filling fall out that was years old. They said she needed 2 crowns and another filling. After insurance still paid $1100 . Less than 2 weeks later she is in pain and goes in and they said the need to grind down her crown that is what is causing the pain and it mimics an infection. 4 days later still in pain, now she goes in and she needs a root canal, another $200 on top of insurance. I go have a talk with them wondering why we have to pay since this should just be an offshoot of what was done in the first place. The Dr. talked down to me like I was some person that was not worth his time and how much school he went too and on and on. Can't wait to see what they try and say she would need next. It's just a scam to keep paying for the next thing they can think of. Stay away!!!!!! Save your money and find you a better dentist like we are. Don't waste your time or money! You will be looked down apon as a lowly commoner because you are not a dentist and basically told you know nothing! I know a scam when I see one, and that is exactly what this place does! read more

I can usually find something nice to say about an experience but I can't come up with anything here. Save yourself the aggravation, pain, discomfort and expense for sub-standard work. I was incredibly disappointed by my last 3 experiences here. The last one was an absolute nightmare. This was not a one-time event or one-time disappointment but instead became the standard experience so I opted to go elsewhere. read more
