We had Riviera Painting last week to paint our whole 3,000 sq. foot home and they were great! Very professional, showed up on time and they finished the job in 5 days! It was not an easy job as most walls were painted brown which we liked for 10 years but now we wanted a lighter beige. I hired them to paint the entire outside of my house including some fencing. Brian told me that they expected the job to take 7 days including extensive prep work. I live close to the ocean and I know how important that is. He gave me a date to start. When that day came, I had to call him a few times to find out where he was. He said they were still on another job. I told him that he should have contacted me to let me know. When they did show up, they spent a total of 3 1/2 days on the job. They were supposed to cover my swimming pool so no debris would fall in. I had to remind them. Then they didn't have enough plastic sheeting and only covered half. On the last day I walked around and saw that they didn't paint several areas on the fence. It's been 6 months since they did the job. It's already chipping and peeling where they didn't do a good job of surface prep. They also painted some outside cabinet fasteners closed. I chose them because of their excellent Yelp reviews. Looks like you can have your friends write reviews for you. My experience was nothing like what I saw on Yelp. I'm going to have to have the job done again. read more

Amazing job! I met with the owner Brian and discussed what we needed done as we were getting ready to rent out our home. He was very professional yet really friendly. His crew got to work right away. These guys were obviously very experienced. On the outside trim, there ended up being some wood rot damage and they were able to take care of it no worries. The painting crew of Terry and Felipe were on time, efficient and courteous with each day's work. I use Yelp regularly to figure out all that is good in this world, but I (finally) signed up for a Yelp account today just to write this review. Why? Because I had such an great experience with this painting contractor. This week I had Riviera Painting do some interior and exterior painting of our home in Rancho Santa Fe. They also restored portions of our wood floors and baseboards (dark wood), as well as some wood bathroom and kitchen cabinets (honey-colored wood) that had some water damage (due to their location below sinks). In addition, they refinished the inside and outside of our unique (probably 15-foot high) custom steel front door -- it needed to be refinished according to a detailed multi-step process provided by the door manufacturer that was based in Texas. The front door was a particularly daunting task and, because of its prominent location, it needed to be done perfectly. All of these projects Riviera Painting accomplished with an eye to detail. The front door and the cabinets look like new. The painting work was done with precision. My husband and I were thrilled with the results. The work was accomplished 1) with an artist's eye, 2) on time, 3) with careful masking/protection of the surrounding surfaces not being restored/repainted, and 4) with professional results. All at a very reasonable cost! I will recommend the super team at Riviera Painting to my closest friends and family whenever they need any painting or refinishing or restoration work done.
