Love the branch and the people there, however... this week I paid a bill on the wrong account. They charged me a 26.00 fee. Im ok because it's my fault I didn't pay attention. BUT the next day when my direct deposit dropped in they charged me another "convenience fee" to pay the bill, I guess...BUT they didnt pay that bill until a day after that... the bill company said they would always present it again. So I paid 52 in fees for a 52 bill..., I never asked them to do anything so where do they get off charging me 26 to do nothing??? Im pretty much mad at this point and will stop depositing there if this is what they do. Ive never had this happen before at this credit union. Terrible service, I was supposed to receive a call at 10:00 a.m. Monday morning nobody called I then proceeded to call Las Vegas Sahara branch and no one answered the phone and left three messages Lopez one to the bank no call back I then proceeded to go to the bank to get my money out which was in a CD and the gentleman that helped me the first time told me I did not want to call you early in the morning so I didn't call and wouldn't help me whatsoever got ms Lopez I said I want my money and it cost me money to get there cost me money to get back my wife won't just had knee surgery and I had to leave her alone, the gentleman was very rude when I asked him why he did not call me back, I finally got a tailor and Ms Lopez to help me but no one said they were sorry no one wanted my business I took my check and you have lost the customer read more

Now that Rize took over for the former SCEFCU, I expected more efficiency. Not so. I went in person today to renew a CD. What do I see? Fewer customer service reps (try 1!), fewer PC stations (try 2!), employees leisurely sauntering in at 9:10 although the branch opens at 9 am, and customers waiting in line for at least 10-15 minutes on a Monday morning at 9 am. Terrible. I went in for my appointment. It took them 45 min-1 hour to see me when there was only 1 other group in front of me. I signed papers for my Mom's account to be closed. They only sent in my ID and mothers death certificate without any other paperwork. I had to call a month later to check in and it wasn't processed because of this. Terrible service at the branch. Came here to get my car refinanced. Gave me a great interest rate. Went from 12% to 3.75% and my payments got lowered by about $40 dollars. Loan took a day to get approved and just needed a current pay stub. Natalia was my agent and she was really helpful in helping me through the process. read more

I have banked with them nearly 10 years now, and they always exceed expectations in every way. This is a more personal style of banking... the way it used to be everywhere. Patience is sometimes required, but is always richly rewarded. The SCE web service has improved nicely over the years, and I can't think of anything I need from a bank that they don't offer. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME, If you need to do a loan. They're doing everything virtually (online), takes forever, no follow up, no communication, horrible virtual agents who don't return calls or keep you updated. Ran my credit just to waste my time after more than a month of approving and asking me for documentation. I then did an in-person appointment at one of the branches (here) only to go into a room to deal with a virtual agent!!! You can literally do this at home from your computer or anywhere from your phone which is what I did originally and was a total disaster. They have no person at ANY branch to handle loans. NONE! All is done online virtually with some person NOT at the branch. Customer service at its worst!! read more

Closed my account with them recently. Just not what I thought it was to be. Was charged an over draft of $35 when I only had a 49 cent over charge. Yet was told my card didn't allow over charges ? Anyway. Good customer service , banking is just odd. read more

I haven't seen Phil in quite a few months (he originally got me my account and my sister an auto loan) but he remembered my sons wrestling tournament from months back and asked how it was. Been with SCE for about 6 months now. Signed up after them coming out to my work offering better rates on loans and better service. At that time, I met manager, Ludi. They got me a considerably better rate on a boat loan, a credit card, and Ludi recommended a small credit builder loan to help get my credit back on track. Now I won't lie and say it's been perfect. There have been a couple of goofs on SCEs part that annoyed me. (A few times was charged a paper statement fee, when was enrolled in e-statements, online banking was clunky for a while, etc.) BUT, for every single thing that hasn't gone right, nuisance questions on my part, and my SECOND refi @ SCE down from a high interest loan in 6 months, I've contacted manager Ludi Murillo directly. When most people meet you and tell you here's my card, call me if you have any problems, they don't mean it. Well, I've contacted Ludi too many times to count and she has been fantastic and immediately handled my problem every single time. SHE is also directly responsible for getting my old 17.9% interest loan somewhere else, to 12, and now 6.4% @ SCE!! I can't think of anywhere else I've been treated like this, certainly not a bank. Ludi and SCE have earned a difficult, but VERY happy customer! read more

Most of the time , I love my credit union. Other times I want to yell and scream. Especially with the online condescending customer service reps. The charge random fees, even when you clearly have money in the account. Vs just saying- that was our fault - they make it your fault as if you are unable to comprehend what's going on, even though you're looking directly at the statements. Help me understand how that works- don't brush me off and make it seem like you're doing me a favor when it was the unions fault in the first place. Smh ridiculous! Alejandra, please do better. Let me start by saying this credit union I had no complaints on my initial used car loan. On my second loan(thought I would have a similar experience so I went through SCE again), bad choice. Made double payments but my second payments would not goto the principle so I called in about the extra payments I was making. Customer service said that the only way to make the second payment goto principle is to make the second payment on the same day of the initial car loan payment for the month. This didn't sit well with me. My initial used car loan had a better rate than my next brand new auto loan. Scratch my head, this makes no sense-especially since my credit was far better the second time. Guess SCE likes to punish customers that are repeat customers and value a good working relationship. So I refinanced with another local credit union in Wisconsin and received a far better rate than my first two auto loans with SCE, this wasn't special for me(the credit union advertised the rate right on their website. SCE didn't make it a tough decision to leave them and choose a better credit union. Next, I changed who I bank with and provided the correct routing and account number for the next loan draft. SCE evidently doesn't live or work in this century and required an additional paper form to update where the money they draw from is on file. Finally, the last three months on my auto loan were never reported and I had to dispute with the credit bureau that the auto loan was paid off and get this, they still took an additional auto payment out of my new checking account for a loan I no longer have with them. No reparations to fix, let's just say I won't ever use SCE again and I would advise you to steer clear. read more

Worst bank either. I've been to both locations, they have no customer service at all, and basically put holds on whenever they feel like. They're a new bank trying to make a presence on Vegas; but it's not gonna work. Everything has to be "checked with the manager." read more

My experience at the credit union was awesome due to Phil Vale. He treated me with respect and assisted me with a challenge I was having with my account from my share credit union. He was very calm and asked me a few questions and resolved my issue that my share credit union was not able to fix talking on the phone for over 15mins with them. He was exactly what I needed on a Friday afternoon getting money orders and making a deposit so I could move in Monday morning. read more

The staff at this branch was very nice and helpful, but unfortunately we do most of our banking online and their online banking is the worst. It's either down or we cannot log in and have to make multiple attempts to log in and authenticate a computer whihch we've been using many times to log in; we get a message that they will send us a code but that never happens. They recently introduced a new online banking platform without notifying us about it. We could not log in and had to spend an hour on the phone to learn that they changed our login! Our patience is seriously tested every time we have a simplest thing to do. We gave them multiple chances but they just don't deserve it. We are taking all the money to a different bank. Oh, we just called them to transfer money from our savings to a checking but were told we have to wait until Monday since a department in charge is closed today... read more
