When I interviewed her (over the phone), she confirmed what I had been reading, that she is very intelligent and extremely knowledgeable about real estate. I was an out-of-state buyer, but she made the entire process almost as easy as buying the house next door! For example, she used FaceTime to show me homes via video and was happy to allow me to stop her at any point to answer my questions or my requests to zoom in on something in the home. She also enabled me to use computer signing on 99% of the documents during the entire home-buying process. I chose to travel once to see the house I was buying during inspection, but I could have done the entire purchase remotely! I was a first-time home buyer, but Angie was very patient with me. She volunteered to thoroughly go over the purchase contract and later the closing documents with me. Angie is very busy because she's naturally in high demand, but she never failed to answer my emails, text messages, or phone calls promptly. If she was too busy to talk right away, she was happy to schedule phone meetings with me, where she made sure I got the answers to every single question I could think of. One of the reasons I chose Angie is her reputation as a good negotiator. This paid off for me because she got me a very good agreement with the sellers to pay for almost every maintenance issue my inspector had identified! At short notice, Angie was able to get repair estimates over a weekend to support her negotiation with the seller on Monday. Angie volunteered to do countless things that benefited me during the home-buying process. Some that I can remember are as follows. She volunteered to keep in touch with my lender so there wouldn't be any delays in the closing process. She inquired about an unknown fee she discovered on my settlement statement to ensure I was required to pay it. She attended closing on my behalf, collected the house keys at that time and connected with my daughter later to give her the keys. She contacted the title company to get a tax certificate that specified a zero balance, so we were ensured that all the sellers' property taxes had been paid. She worked with the title company to get us an out-of-state mobile notary at a good price. She even told me what was especially important to look for when reading the HOA documents. Angie continued to volunteer great advice even after the sale, such as how to sign up with utility companies and how to avoid title/deed scams. No carpet replacement, no baseboard or flooring replacements. They cut back the carpet, cut out only the corner of the rotting wood base boards and said they could test for mold but if there was no mold to be found, I'd be charged for the tests. There are multiple cracks in the foundation of that building. And how could i forget about the "faux drains" at the bottom of the steps before entering the apartment... Don't do it. Don't even get me started on the argument i had with management (who are women, mind you) over my DEMAND of not having a man come into my apartment *without telling me* when I lived there alone. Ridiculous. There were deceased mice under the fridge as well.

They also look to fine you left and right for anything and everything. I'm seeing other past tenants mentioning the charges they received for things like aluminum drip pans, light bulbs, etc. Kevco did not replace ANY broken light bulbs or drip pans or anything before I moved into the property. It wasn't even cleaned. So what are all these charges funding? - Uses RAM Waste, which is also a terrible company (go look up reviews). Inconsistent pick-up and poor communication. - COVID-unsafe policies and procedures As you can see if you go through past reviews on Google, Nicole is incredibly defensive and rude online (and to tenants). The company tries to paint themselves as heroes to compensate for their shortcomings, which is shameful. Some of the employees are kind, and I think they're just doing their best in a crappy company. Nicole, however, is not the only inconsiderate and rude one. To echo another review I saw: parents, absolutely do not let your child rent with this company. They will try to take severe advantage of them. Fellow students: I know money can be tight, but you deserve better than this company. The horror stories I could tell you about Kevco, but won't because of fear of retaliation and personal attack from management. This is long, but it's the most succinct summary of this bad company.
