Just switched to RLJ. Took my kids (3 and 5 years old) for their appointments and all the staff were very friendly and great with the kids.

I don't have dental insurance, so after calling around town for prices (ranging from kinda high to…read morejust plain nuts), I ended up taking Glacier's $75 new patient special, which covers a cleaning, x-rays, exam -- the works. So here's the deal. They are super friendly here. Almost over the top friendly. When I arrived, they offered me something to drink, gave me a tour (I was a little confused about that part, let me tell you!), and, when I was taken to an exam room, they handed me a little gift bag with a Glacier Dental-branded insulated cup (which I've totally been using...), at which point I started looking around for the "Punk'd" cameras. But I think it's actually genuine! They were happy to discuss my concerns about x-rays (too much orthodontia as a teenager), assured me that my teeth looked great, and explained everything they were doing. The front desk wanted to take my picture for my file (wait, is this a plastic surgery clinic?), but accepted my "No" the first time without any drama. I only have two quibbles: First, the appointment took something like an hour and a half, which seems kind of long -- between the x-rays, exam, and cleaning, I did get a little antsy. However, I'm assuming that it was because it was a first appointment, so hopefully subsequent cleanings will be shorter. Second, when the hygienist recommended a fluoride treatment, it was a little like fending off offers of product from a hairdresser. I'm self-pay (not that fluoride would be covered under insurance anyway), so I wasn't really interested in spending any extra money regardless of how beneficial it might be. Overall, it was a good "new dentist" visit (and believe me, I've had about 6 of those in the last decade...). They have a nice referral program, so I'll definitely be recommending them to others, and I'm happy to go back for my next cleaning.

Since my first experience at Glacier Dental a bit has changed. It seems that they are very shady…read morewith how they are open with you on pricing. They will send a 1 time only link for bills or for info on your next appointment for security which I understand and appreciate, but it seemed more times than none that I would get the wrong pricings. It seems they care more about getting extensive procedures done than preventative care. I chose to get an extraction which went phenomenal in my opinion, which made me excited for Glacier, but scheduling normal cleaning appointments it seemed like it gradually got lower quality in service. My teeth felt each time overlooked of issues the more cleanings I had. I recommend choosing other than Glacier Dental.

Since then, I switched over to Integrative Dental Solutions in Peawaukee, WI for extensive almagam filling replacements with porcelain. They offer only tray whitening, so I wanted to go back to Aspen for another whitening. It seems their hygeinists are finding my teeth have higher numbers for gum recession, so they want to do an advanced cleaning. My dental insurance covers up to 40% of certain procedures, but their advanced cleaning is $1500 and they don't have laser treatment which is intermediary to their "advanced cleaning" and preventative for recession and pockets. I've already had 2 exams in April 2026; one in Oshkosh & a free one at IDS because they had to replace a porcelain onlay for me as well. The Oshkosh traditional Dental office billed for my 2nd yrly exam to my dental insurance. (That is how good Integrative Dental Solutions is!) The hygienist in Oshkosh I sought a cleaning from used an automatic cleaning tool which I could not tolerate, so that was out. I spent about an hour with the scheduler discussing all of that, he said to send documentation of my cleaning at IDS and that should be ok per the dentist. I had scheduled as a new patient online thinking it would be an easy fix once I was there to adjust that, my last visit when they gave me an exam without the exrays. So I sent everything email. However, I had to change my appt and then a different woman scheduler said I must have a third exam anyway for the Aspen Dental Dentist to keep his license, okay, fine I'll pay that out of pocket. I like their whitening technique there. Then I thought of what they all do at an exam and asked if I would still need their advanced cleaning, the woman this time said, yes, if they find the numbers of recession need that! Then I'd also need to make a new appointment for the whitening. That's funny, I thought this was all cleared up by sending documentation I just had a cleaning. Apparently I'm past the two year limit to be considered as a current patient by just a few days now. Who knows what that means? Apparently they do not accept documentation from other dental offices on the status of a patient's dental health. I'll never have an advanced cleaning my insurance won't cover 40% when it's for a borderline evaluation! So I guess that means I will not be paying Aspen $400 for their whitening service, no matter how much I prefer it. If you are days out from their 1 yr policy, there is no leniency, even if it is partially their fault, even if you JUST HAD a cleaning & exam elsewhere! I was told fom one scheduler it is 2 yrs a few days ago and now it is 1 yr! Not only that, they billed me for a panaramic ex-ray that I never had. They won't send verification otherwise to my insurance on that, which means for the remainder of the 5 yrs my insurance covers, I have to pay out of pocket for another one. My dental insurance company said the only one that can remove a billing is the dental office. I'm wondering how many other patients this happens to! This basically ties me to Aspen Dental to pay more for a higher level of cleaning that no other dentist says I need, just so I can purchase their whitening. I do not believe it is because Aspen Dental is more thorough than the 2 other dentists who just did an exam and cleaningI Spent hours of my valuable time to schedule a whitening appointment for nothing. Do better!
