The hotel is brand new, they just opened in January so everything is in perfect working condition and very clean. The free breakfast buffet is one of the best I've had in a long time. There are so many choices and it's all presented so nicely in the dining area. The room is very clean, small but comfortable. There is a mini fridge, and plenty of closet space. All rooms also have a very nice big balcony with table and chairs. Perfect for sitting out and admiring the views of the ocean which all rooms have, unless you are on the lowest floors. The heat and AC works wonderfully (it's a brand new building!) and it is quick to adjust the temperature in your room (oddly enough that's a rarity in Europe so it was very much appreciated). The water pressure in the shower is also good. Another thing that is sometimes hard to find. The location in Cascais is nice. It is right across the street from the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. There are a few other hotels and condos in the area, but it is not in the main part of town. It is about a 20 minute walk from town. There are bike rental stations across the street, where you can rent a bike for around $4 for the day. My one and only complaint would be the wifi system, it worked just fine, but they give you a new user name and password each day. We got one set that was good for the whole stay but another that expired after 1 day. So you have to go downstairs and ask for a new piece of paper with a new login. I don't understand the point of this- highly doubt anyone is going to try to steal wifi in this location, why not just make it easy for the guests? A great stay, highly recommend this place!!

You can walk along the sea and there are some fabulous restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Hotel staff were very nice and the process for checkin and staff at the restaurant and bar were also very attentive and responsive. Breakfast was quite ok and they had enough options for food. I would happily stay here again. It's not that expensive and is close enough to the center of Cascais.

The locks on the door are difficult to use & half the time, we basically had to go all the way back downstairs to get someone to open our door. For the price this hotel charges, find a better property. The staff were nice but that doesn't make the place a good enough experience for the expense.

She was right! Insanely spacious, comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast, rooftop deck, restaurant upstairs. Beautiful common area on the mezzanine level to enjoy a coffee and pastry taking a respite during the afternoon between seeing the city. All in all, Bairro Alto was great! Walked from here to two Michelin two starred restaurants, an amazing pizza place, walking tour of the city, the world's best chocolate cake, and so much more. There is really everything right here you would want. Keep in mind it's a classic boutique hotel. That means small and narrow elevators. So sometimes you just have to be a little patient. Come for the friendly service, amazing location, comfortable beds, beautiful rooms, and know that this is a great place to stay in the heart of Lisbon. Highly recommend. Tip: If you are staying over the weekend, get a floor as high as you can and/or have a sound machine if you want to sleep well because the street noise is loud with people out and about on Friday and Saturday nights.

There's a small tunnel that our taxi driver swooped us down to and there we were in front of Memmo. A small hotel with a stunning view of Lisbon. The front desk, specifically Leonardo, was very helpful and Bruno brought our suitcases to us while acclimating us to the hotel and our lovely Superior Family Room. It was well equipped with everything we wanted plus a cute little dessert tray welcoming us. So happy I picked this place for our second time in Lisbon.
