There are truly no words to thank Dr. Davis and the Pearl Mini IVF team. Long before they gave us the gift of our baby, they gave us the gift of hope. Dr. Davis has the most incredible bed side manner and her team has spoiled us with such highly specialized care. We began our journey to have a baby many years before seeing Dr. Davis and had 2 failed cycles prior to starting our care with her. We had retrieved eggs, made embryos and all of them were abnormal. It is a grueling process physically and financially, but the place we need the most strength was mentally. When we came to Pearl, we spend nearly 2 hours talking to Dr. Davis about what we had done, who we were, our lifestyle and our goals. She explained her philosophy and why "mini" IVF would work better for someone my age. With our first cycle we retrieved less eggs, made less embryos but we did have one normal embryo! This meant we had a chance!! My husband and I were thrilled. We went on to do 2 more cycles, which produced no normal embryos and as the year drew to a close I thought let's give it all we got! We signed up for one more cycle and this time we tried it all - Omnitrope, PRP ovarian rejuvenation, red light therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, no dairy, no alcohol....basically everything possible. Dr. Davis gave us her opinions and advice, all while supporting us in the things we wanted to try. Our 6th and final retrieval gave us 3 more normal embryos!! When it came time to transfer we decided to do the Alice/Emma/ERA and mock cycles. Dr. Davis walked us through everything before we implanted our precious embryo. Two looooong weeks later we got the call everyone going through fertility treatments dreams of: we were pregnant!! Dr. Davis is not a miracle worker and can't guarantee you will have a baby. But through it all, I knew I had someone on my side rooting and caring for me! Some Tips - - Always do your own research! - Advocate for yourself! - Keep records of all protocols because you won't remember and it can help when you need to pivot. - Surround yourself with a care team that you can trust - RE, Acupuncturist, Chiro, friends, etc. You need people who believe in you. Very disappointed! I had an appointment with them months ago and on the day of visit they let me know that my insurance wouldn't accept this clinic. They already knew about it and know that my timing is sensitive so waited until I get there and charge me $700. That is not even the worst part. I have been trying to get my results but they kept sending me to their Artemis portal which doesn't have patient information which would be my first and last name and date of birth so we can send it to my insurance and get their authorization. I have called numerous times but they don't answer. Avoid this clinic at all cost. read more

Dr. Davis and Anastasiya are outstanding providers that demonstrate unmatched compassion and truly seek to make each patient feel heard. Before I found Dr. Davis I had done 6 IUIs at another clinic where I felt like a number and rarely saw the same tech twice in the same cycle. The consult for IVF was the worst doc apt my husband and I had ever had and I knew I would never attempt IVF at that clinic after the doc was awkward, cold, clearly only knew me from my file, and flat out told me I'd be miserable doing IVF. My acupuncturist recommended I switch to Pearl and after my consult I was completely on board with IVF. What made the difference? Dr. Davis truly cares about each of her patients. She was at every one of my apts and knew my husband and I. The clinic is more about quality than quantity and for me that was huge. The office is comfortable, rarely ran late, and really the whole team is fabulous. I love the portal for communication, results, videos, apt reminders. The HSG with Dr. Davis was much more comfortable than the one I had previously elsewhere. When it came time for stims and egg retrieval I was not miserable, just walking slower (again, quality not quantity). My hysteroscopy procedure was easy. They made transfer day a wonderful experience for my husband and I, and I'm so excited to be 15 weeks along. I always felt like I was in great care and trusted my nurse Shannon and Dr. Davis wholeheartedly. I truly cannot say enough good things about Pearl. Wow. This place is amazing. Let's start with a few small things. It's clean! So clean. Obvious that a doctors office should be clean but come on now you've been to some that are less than stellar. Plants leave a warm welcoming feeling, there are various seats in the waiting area so take your pic! They have a cool coffee machine that brews individually and they even offer hot chocolate if you don't like coffee. The front desk staff is superior to all others! So kind and welcoming. Quick to check you in and validate your parking. Always so polite on the phone. The nurses have all been awesome as well! They have even taken us back when we arrived early which they clearly do not have to do. They have an app that you can communicate with them through, see results, view appointments, etc. it's excellent! I often fee like those end up being crummy and hardly work but that isn't the case here. Now the most important piece...Dr. Davis! She is remarkable. We were able to sit with her in her office our very first visit and chat with her about test results and options, etc. She took her time and didn't rush us, explained everything and even drew some pictures! She was so encouraging yet realistic about what we were facing. She was very careful not to bash any previous doctors, very respectful however she is the expert in fertility and she knows that so it felt like we were in excellent hands when it came to differing opinions she may have had from our previous doctors. We came to our first visit full of anxiety and worry and left with a calmness that lead to hopefulness. We've been here several times and each time has been great. I would highly recommend Dr. Davis and her team if you seek treatment for infertility. Dr. Davis is super nice and knowledgeable. Her one-hour consultation was very informative and transparent. She didn't advise going to straight to IVF but to try IUI instead based on our medical issues, which I really appreciate since she is not the type of doctor who likes to grab money. We were very fortunate to conceive on our own before getting treatments but she was kind to help monitor my pregnancy in the first few weeks. Her office is clean and nice. The nurses are great too. I came to Pearl at the suggestion of my acupuncturist and it's the single best decision I could have made. Dr. Anne is incredibly thoughtful and gentle in her approach and is truly there to help find the best, least invasive way, for you to start your family. I felt that she really listened to our concerns and needs and took a conservative approach align with our comfort level (and mindful of our budget) and we are fortunate to be welcoming a baby this year. The staff are above and beyond - like I miss them. I'd be friends with them. I wish my OB appointments could be through this office, I'd never leave. This review is long overdue but I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Davis and the entire team at Pearl Mini IVF! My husband and I had been doing fertility treatments for a year at another office and weren't seeing the results we were hoping for. We decided to make the switch to Pearl after my acupuncturist recommended Dr.Davis and it was the best decision we ever made! The entire staff is so friendly and personable - which really makes all the difference when you're struggling with infertility. Dr. Davis really took the time to listen to us and suggested we try a new approach which did result in pregnancy. I'm now 24 weeks along with our rainbow baby and I truly don't think we would have made it this far if it weren't for the entire team at Pearl. Disappointed with our experience here. It felt a bit like a money grab and involved no changes to the plan after each failed IUI. While Dr. Davis is very sweet when you see her, there is no follow up consultation after 3 failed IUI's. You're just kind of on your own. I would hope that the $250 initial consultation would include a follow up after three failed attempts at IUI. I suppose they're just trying to push IVF but no one even followed up with us regarding information about that after everything. Throughout our IUI attempts, no adjustments were made to the program or suggestions as to what could be causing our infertility either. We may just have to close this chapter, since we'd rather not start all over and pay all that money again at another clinic. If your plan is to do IVF right off the bat, you may have a better experience than we did. This is a sensitive situation to be in, a follow up call would go a long way. Lastly, I made it clear I preferred phone calls regarding important information but they insist on using their portal with glitches often and rarely alerts you to messages when it should. read more

I was told I would need a doctors note from a licensed therapist before being able to schedule an IUI with donor sperm. The reason I was given is to make sure I've considered things like if my future child asked about their biological father what my answer would be. If this is so important, why don't you require all fertility patients regardless of where the sperm comes from to submit a note to make sure they've considered things like divorce, a parent abandoning the family etc. As if lgbtq don't have enough roadblocks on starting a family, now I need a therapist involved? Certainly felt like a form of discrimination and did not feel welcome here. read more

From the moment we sat down for our consultation, we were impressed by her diligence, emotional intelligence and bedside manner. We can't really ask much more of a physician. Again, as a patient, you should always be pro-active and self advocate to make sure your needs are met. Dr. Davis and her team have been very responsive and a true delight with whom to work. Let's face it- for many of us, fertility is hard. Like really hard. Trying to get pregnant on your own isn't always easy. After struggling for years to get pregnant naturally, my husband and I started looking at IVF options after my OB told me there wasn't much more she could do for me. One of my fears was becoming just a "number" to my IVF doctor. I reached out to another IVF company initially when I was starting my IVF journey in 2021 and had a consultation, which left me in tears after the video call. My fear of becoming a number was coming true. I wasn't given options - I was just told there's only 1 way and it ''could' work. I told my husband there has to be another option in San Diego. One night I was randomly on Facebook and typed in IVF near me and here popped up Pearl Mini IVF. There page was basically blank - it looked like they had just opened. I sent them an email requesting a consultation and got one for the following week. I was so nervous driving up to *personally* meet Dr.Davis, but was thrilled to have my husband with me for support even during COVID. THE DOCTOR- I can't even recall how long we spent talking to Dr.Davis- an hour, maybe two? She interviewed my husband and me in the same way we interviewed her, making sure we were the perfect match. Every single question had an answer. She walked us through the entire IVF process and made it easier to understand. She drew pictures, explained medications, mini-stims, the works. We left our consult and I think I cried the entire way home - literally tears of joy. Dr. Davis has to be one of the kindest souls I've ever met. She genuinely wants to help her patients and is so determined and passionate about what she does. I knew she truly cared after my first retrieval failed. Her words of love and compassion during that time have stuck with me. Then I (FINALLY!) got pregnant with our little babes, which sadly ended in a miscarriage. During that time, it solidified for me that God has handpicked Dr. Davis to be an angel here on earth. I've never received so much love and support from any one of my doctors before. THE OFFICE- The office is absolutely stunning and so bright and cozy. It's definitely smaller than other IVF offices but it has a beautiful charm to it that makes it so modern, clean, and somewhere you don't mind hanging out in a few times a week during STIMS. THE STAFF- The office staff is damn near perfection. It's like Dr. Davis has chosen every angel in San Diego to work for her. The most positive, kind-hearted souls to have on your side. We've spent so many months with them that they have become our extended family and I cannot picture this journey without each of their smiling faces. They've laughed with us, cried with us, shared in our joys and in our sorrows. They even make taking my blood weekly enjoyable for those few minutes! While our fertility journey hasn't been an easy one, Dr.Davis and the entire team have made this process one to remember. Let me start by saying that my wife and I were referred to Pearl Mini IVF in June of 2023. Dr. Davis was incredibly kind and helpful during our time there, but unfortunately, we had some concerns about the staff. There were a few instances of miscommunication regarding the necessary steps to start the process, and we also had an unexpected outstanding balance of $70 even though we had been self-pay patients from the start. We had informed Crystal and the other staff members about our plans to relocate back to Guam in September 2023, and since we hadn't been successful in getting pregnant by August, we decided to discontinue our attempts. We made sure to let the staff know that we wouldn't be moving forward due to our upcoming relocation and we wanted to confirm that we didn't owe anything else. They assured us that everything was taken care of and that we didn't owe anything more. However, in November 2023, we received a bill for $70 from Pearl Mini IVF. Naturally, we immediately called to address the issue and spoke with Crystal and Meredith. They checked our account multiple times and assured us that it was an error and that they would handle it with their billing department. Despite these assurances, we received another reminder bill in December for the same $70. We called again, and once again, we were reassured that it was a mistake. It's January 2024, we have received a letter stating that if we don't pay this $70, Pearl Mini IVF will send us to collections. It's frustrating because at this point, no one at the clinic seems to want to answer our calls or address the issue. After spending thousands of dollars out of pocket, it feels unfair that they can't waive this small amount that was their mistake in the first place. read more
