Shortly thereafter COVID hit and our project was significantly delayed. We were, however, lucky that Arnie and his amazing staff availed themselves during business and non-business hours to advise us on a variety of issues from navigating the DOBNOW webpages to reasonable locations to get quartz countertops. Probably the worst business experience of my life. "Terrible" is too kind…read more Eagle Design Associates absolutely screwed up our project *almost* beyond the point of no return. Instead I was stuck with many unnecessary bills to re-do the work they screwed up, and many agonizing months of trouble and fines. The drafting job they did for us was so atrocious the local Building Department head chewed me out in front of the entire office and then practically threw me out the door. That was absolutely the most uncomfortable and humiliating experience of my entire professional life. And I owe it all to Eagle Design Associates. Dennis Oliver-- who drew up the plans-- was horrible and unprofessional. He took zero responsibility for his terrible work. He never offered to make things right. Never offered to redo the work and fix. Wort of all, he started hiding from the problem and would not return calls. After leaving many many un-returned messages, the secretary tells me "He doesn't want to speak with you." I said "He could at least have the decency to return my calls" "No," she said, "he doesn't have the decency." If it was legal to punch a guy for being a jerk, I would have driven right over. Instead, I am sharing this with you. AVOID!

Dennis picked up a project that was left in limbo by the previous homeowner. He was quick to schedule an appointment, he was precise in explaining all of the details related to iterations and billing. He reconstructed my entire drawings with lightening fast results. Dennis made himself available to discuss changes, provided helpful information towards our decision making process and delivered an excellent product. Dennis went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied with our plans and handled all comments by town in a most timely manner. I highly recommend him to homeowners who know little about the whole building department process, permits, variances, etc. On top of it all he was a gentleman and a great guy to chat with!

After he got paid, he stopped responding to our emails, texts and phone calls so we finally had to knock on his office/home front door. Surprisingly, 15 minutes later, he submitted to the Town Building Dept. what we paid him to do. He is also VERY argumentative with us and the Town. Dov prefers to do things his way and not comply with how the Town wants things done. Shouldn't the Architect Code of Conduct include acting with honesty, respecting colleagues and complying with laws?
