I have been dealing with Parental Alienation since August 2009. After one scheduled meeting with my daughter and I, they successfully removed themselves from the joint custody case. Please note, I had a Best Interest Attorney assigned to the joint custody case as well. I am a mother of a child who thrives, thanks to NFRC. My ex husband and I agreed, at the very…read morebeginning, that NFRC would be an essential support for our son and the best in the area. Even though my son and his father do not have a relationship, it is with many hours and counseling that I can proudly say my son is now an adult (10 years later) who is well adjusted and finished HS top of his class and the State of Maryland. There were days when I felt like I was not understood and I didn't want to do the things our counselor told me to do, but ultimately I listened. I found out that I was the one who didn't understand and couldn't see that NFRC knew exactly what they were doing. I'm grateful now for their patience with my family and for always being there for my son. I have referred them to everyone I know who is going though a divorce in the area. I can say from this experience that no one can be made to do anything - wanting to self reflect/change for the sake of a loved one has to be a choice and a priority.......you can only change yourself.
