Anyway, we checked out some of their kitchens as comparisons, and they are OK looking, but didn't seem to be much better quality (or better price) than the kitchen we ended up ordering from IKEA. We also looked at the flooring and the selection was just alright. Nothing to write home about. That said, there are some great things you can get here, and for a pretty good price. We have bought some sheets here and are completely satisfied with the price and quality. But on the flipside, when we were looking at towels, they only had one brand on display that was not made out of great material, so that was disappointing. On the first level, it feels a bit like a Ross or a Marshall's (all you US folk know what I mean) with lots of small appliances and household accessories to choose from. So it's fair to say that you can make Poco a one-stop-shop type of place if you want. This location also recently underwent a remodel, so the escalators are gone in place of stairs. Lots of them. And a couple elevators too. I think this is a good thing...

What about the quality? That's one of the most important thing, when the topic about furniture. I didn't check all of their product, just some of them, such as wardrobes, tables and some other living room stuff. It seem ok to me. The thing is, I have been buy stuff from Ikea for years now. Even from the one of my favourite brand, thing still could go wrong. (A wooden turnable chair I bought from Ikea, it was broken after just 6 months used, and I don't think I am heavy enough to be the main cause), since then I think, when it is time be broken, no one can stop it. Even made of super everything. All have been said, I think this Poco market is smaller than I expected. Much smaller than Ikea and some other i have been. The arrangement inside the market is alright. It wasn't so difficult to get around. The other thing, I also found it a bit weird they only got one market in the city center. The rest of them kinda all far away from the center. At the end, I am happy that I finally visited Poco. It's quite famous here. It was quite nice experience. Although they didn't have any sample rooms like Ikea that can get inspiration from, they sure offer a good price for people who know what they want but only got limited budgets.

Among the purchases have been a new toilet paper holder and a new shower head. And like the thoughtful guy he is, he always asks me to weigh in on how I feel about things. And like the disinterested lady I am, I always respond with "es ist mir egal." Because really, I don't care that much. Not about home improvement items, not about practical around-the-house needs, not about project materials. Places like Bauhaus are not only overwhelming (I can never find what I need, and never know where to look), but they're not bright and exciting. They don't beckon me to get lost in the aisles. All of this aside, it is a practical store, which strikes me as particularly German. And although trips to Bauhaus don't top my list of most interesting things to do, I realize the necessity of them, and I'm grateful there is a place relatively close by that has the things we need. So, Bauhaus, you're alright. You're like the lukewarm acquaintance that I run into every once in awhile around town. I may not miss you when we're apart, but when we do encounter one another, it's A-OK.

For context, it was rainy and muddy outside. Cleaners wore the same shoes into my apartment, walking around everywhere. Then after they mopped, they walked over the cleaned floors with their muddy shoes. I politely asked them to re-do the floor on their way out. Cleaner "sweeped" my rugs using a dirty broom instead of using the vaccuum - this is really odd because it just added more dirt onto the rugs than there already was Additionally, cleaner didn't bother moving my rug to sweep or "mop" under it - I had to do that afterward Cleaners asked me to clear out my fridge myself so they could clean inside - Is this normal? It hasn't been the case in my experience with previous cleaning services There is still hair and dirt on the floor - I re-sweeped my apartment to get all the extra dirt When "mopping" floors - the technique used was spraying Clorox (like literally from a spray bottle) onto the ground, then going over the area with a towel on a device that resembled a Swiffer. I've never seen this before. The chemicals were everywhere in the air, and the floors are now slightly sticky - it wasn't like this before. For context, I have wood floors. This is a poor method to clean these type of floors in my opinion. None of my stuff was placed back where it was moved. I spent about 10-15 searching for a box, and additionally a couple of minutes searching for where my dishes had been put away in the kitchen. I went through the apartment and found used paper-towels used to clean various surfaces. I also found bottles that I had indicated were trash still remaining on the counter. I have half a trash bag full of the remaining trash left behind Cleaners left trash bags outside the apartment door, and one of the bags leaked some liquid onto the hallway floor outside, which I also had to clean I had originally booked a 3.3 hour session with one cleaner for around 150 euro. However, two cleaners showed up, charging me for two individuals for two hours, which was 180 euro. The male cleaner had little clue how to clean. He did the dishes well enough, but that's it. I asked specifically for bathroom and kitchen to be thoroughly cleaned, with the floors sweeped or mopped if possible. It's very frustrating that for 2-3 rooms (only HALF the apartment because I told them I did not need the other 3 rooms or hallway cleaned), they took two entire hours. This means it took one cleaner one hour to clean just one bathroom (which was already relatively clean) and "mop" the floor of the living area and it took the other cleaner one hour to clean just the kitchen alone. This is a bit ridiculous to me - I clean faster than this myself. For positives- Cleaners got the mold taken care of so I was very happy about that Most of areas that the female cleaner cleaned were good enough - she was fairly thorough where she cleaned and I appreciated it They arrive 15 minutes early I'm not requesting a refund because my primary concern was the mold in my fridge and my shower getting cleaned, which were both completed properly, although 179 euro for this is a lot. It's also clear that these are not actual cleaners who know which products or devices to use for basic cleaning. They additionally didn't clean or pick up after themselves - as in, they left messes that weren't previously there and were very lazy in their methods. I have hired another cleaning service to do a proper job and fix the sticky floors and vaccuum. However, I did want to bring this to your attention in case you're interested in what areas your cleaners may improve in, or perhaps so your company may be able to provide standardized training for your employees.

Again, I was ready to pay a "deep cleaning" cost for a regular cleaning of a small already clean apartment, plus the oven and the mattress. I also asked if the cleaner could have kept the keys and they said yes. I was over the moon! Then the reality... My friend went to open the door. The cleaner was late. He had no clue about the keys, he didn't want to keep them so I had to figure something else out last minute. He called my friend back because he couldn't figure how to open the water. He left after two hours. Because of their lack of communication and professionality I lost a tenant. He didn't want to stay in a filthy place! Here come the pics that I received from him. I asked for a refund, they refused and they sent me pics of what was cleaned for €80. Since I clean my house by myself I can tell that what I paid wasn't worthy. Plus they had the guts to tell me as an excuse that 2 hours wasn't enough. I suggested they checked the emails where I said that I was up to pay for 3 hours, because I needed a clean apartment. If you charge €40 per hour per person (more than twice what anybody else in Berlin) you need to be the best! They're far far away from being even good.

The first cleaner showed up and cleaned well with a few small details. I had booked the cleaner for a year, every other week, 4 hours. He cancelled for the second clean as he stated he found other work. Good for him. Second cleaner I picked had 127 cleans with a 4.6 rating and costs €17+ an hour. I'm having people over tonight and expected him to show at 10am. At 10PM last night he sends a message that he double booked. He offered to come on Saturday which does not work. He offered to come later today while my people are here which also does not work. So I am going to write my boss now and tell them the truth that I have to take a half day of work because my cleaner did not show and will make up the time this weekend. Oh boy I'm thrill to not only have to miss work to clean but have to trade weekend hours as well. I will hire a professional company, pay a little more and they will be insured. Epic fail.

Afterwards we had to wait 6 more weeks for a new kitchen to be delivered and we had to make many calls and even had to visit the shop 2 times to make this happen at all. When they installed the right kitchen in the end, they forgot 1 part and because of this we couldn't use the kitchen for another 6 weeks. Again we had to make many calls to get this new installment appointment. After the first 6 weeks delay they offered a compensation we found too low at that point. After another 6 weeks delay they still offer the same compensation, like those extra 6 weeks didn't happen or didn't care. In this process we had to call with so many different deparments that don't communicate with each other, that we spend many hours getting updates and getting new delivery and installment dates.
