Had to call…read moretwice to find out where driver is at because no one called me to let me know that they will not be here at 11:30 or at all . Missed my appointment for Physical Therapy. Company sends text apologizing for delay and wants to know if I want to cancel the ride that is not coming. I requested this company specifically because they are Veteran owned. When I called second time dispatch stated that driver was picking up someone else at that time and was delayed. Not acceptable

I want to point out on my first review. I stated several things this company is doing that is…read moreunethical. My review was responded to but some things were purposely ignored. People that might want to work for this company, which would be a huge mistake or use this company, which in my opinion is to support a company that has unethical business practices toward their employees. Yes there is a difference between 1099 employees and W-4 employees or if you will "regular" employees and contracted employees. It doesn't matter when it comes to the legal treatment of an Employee Handbook. I must state this clearly, an employee handbook IS NOT A BINDING CONTRACT in the state of Louisiana, whether it is signed or unsigned. The repayment of training must be put in a TRA (Training Repayment Agreement). A TRA cannot be part of an employee handbook. Also the terms of the TRA must be clearly set forth and the amount must be agreed to before employment begins. You can google any of this. Louisiana law code is available free to everyone. Once again for the people that might not comprehend well. An employee handbook is not a binding contract in the state of Louisiana regardless of the type of employee you are. The only way to legally make an employee pay back training is have them sign a TRA. The TRA is a legal document that cannot be part of or included in the employee handbook because of the fact that an employee handbook is not a binding legal contract in the state of Louisiana. But even if all this weren't true what kind of company makes you pay for your own training? I have never worked for a company that made me pay for my own training if I quit. I have worked as an engineer in the oilfield where I received literally thousand of dollars in training. I have worked for other companies that had me credentialed and never was told I had to pay back my training. One of the training classes that I was made to pay back I never went to. The individual that held the class canceled it because of a family emergency. A company can appear professional but it is their actions that determine that. Louisiana is an "at will" state meaning you can quit without notice and they can fire you without notice. So if you quit without a notice that is your legal right. Supporting companies that have these kinds of practices is just I think unethical.

Whitney was our guide and she was knowledgeable about the area and its people. She also told us a few funny jokes. Five locations were visited. 1. Ton's Drive In-Broussard. We sampled chicken and sausage gumbo with a small scoop of potato salad. Delicious. 2. Prejean's in Broussard. We sampled dirty grits and scallops. The sauce was a little on the salty side, but the dish was quite flavorful. 3. NuNu's in Youngsville. We sampled, link boudin, boudin balls, chicken patties, chicken crackling, and smoked sausage. Everything was delicious. We were gifted a 3 oz container of NuNu's Cajun seasoning. 4. Fezzo's Seafood, Steakhouse & Oyster Bar in Broussard. We sampled fried alligator with sauce and a char grilled oyster. Delicious. 5. Poupart Bakery, Inc in Lafayette. We sampled King Cake with pecan and cream cheese filling with a cup of Community Coffee. Yum. The perfect end to a tour of delicious foods enjoyed by locals everyday. This is an educational food tour that locals would absolutely benefit from. Whitney covered some history of Louisiana I'd certainly forgotten. This tour filled the 3 hours with delicious food, some humor lots of education and I highly recommend it for visitors and residents of Louisiana. Our group included guests from Louisiana, England and Ireland. We all enjoyed ourselves.
