Great experience on our trip. Excellent tour guide from Magnificent Travel and was greeted by a guide when we arrived who was from Rome. Rooms, tour buses, and experiences are top-notch. For my first international trip and pilgrimage to Italy, everything was planned and taken care of from beginning to end. Open communication and fluid day plans allowed for the group to have group and personal time. The tour guides were fabulous! My faith was deepened, beauty was experienced, and culture was experienced. This is my second experience with Magnificat as my son and I went with his school for an 8th grade pilgrimage to DC/NY area. That was the week before COVID impacted the United States, but the tour guides kept us safe, secure, and sanitized. My experience with Magnificat was horrible. No communication, very unprofessional and rude. replanned a trip 3 times and still was unable to go. The ones who were vaccinated went. Got a call on a Wednesday saying that we couldn't go and we were scheduled to fly out the Monday. Not even enough time to get vaccinated if I wanted to. We were told we had to make an ins claim for our money. That was a battle as well. I would like to know where the money went for the people who never got to go on the trip? This is suppose to be a Catholic based business. I have absolutely no respect for this company and 2 specific people who work their. They are thief's in my book. shame on them. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! I did eventually get my money back from the insurance company, but at the end of the day they were responsible. read more

This has been a terrible experience for me! I've called and emailed multiple times and the lack of communication and response from everyone there including the owner, Maria, is unbelievable. Maria, the owner, also emailed me threatening to charge me for asking questions and following up. I have provided proper documentation for a refund per the contract and I was told I will receive my refund, but that has yet to happen. Nobody at this place knows what's going on! Communication is extremely poor and unprofessional, definitely not Christian. STAY AWAY!!! TRUST ME!!!! read more

I thought to go with a local travel company because I like to support local businesses but I will have to rethink my decision again before booking a trip with a local travel company. I initially booked a trip with this company but they CANCELLED the trip the very last minute. Because THE COMPANY cancelled the trip, they are supposed to fully refund the customers for a service not rendered. Well, I received a partial refund and a "plane voucher" that was not easy to get a hold of and use. They also kept $300 of my hard earned money for their business. It is very difficult to get ahold of them, especially, Maria, the owner, for any answers. I still remain HUNDREDS of dollars short from my airline voucher. I truly believed in supporting local businesses, especially one that deals with "Holy Travels," but this business has definitely made me more cautious of handling large amounts of money with any local travel company now. I feel cheated in that they were quick to take my money but unavailable when there was any signs of unsatisfaction with their service. I have been "battling" this since the beginning of this year and it still remains unresolved. I do not recommend anyone doing business with this company. You'll save yourself a headache! read more

I've been on five trips now with Magnificat. The pre-planning is excellent, but any company can plan. What makes Magnificat spectacular is how they handle those moments when the plans go awry! I've had pilgrims have medical problems and pilgrims who are uncooperative and pilgrims who drank too much and pilgrims who suddenly decide they don't want to be on a religious pilgrimage... In every case, the Magnificat company representative with me on the trip has not only addressed the problem and kept it from ruining they trip - they've been remarkable in helping the problematic pilgrims get re-focused and enjoy the trip. I wouldn't consider traveling with anyone else! read more

Magnificat travel has worked for years sending our children to the pro-life march in Washington DC each January. I was blessed to go with my daughter in 2015 and can say that this trip was well planned and led by an awesome group of people. I know they do a lot of other types of trips and I'm sure it would be the same, but be prepared that it is a religious group of people. read more
