Nice place American style, very spacious and apparently very loved by the locals who have a blast in the summer in the open tables outside, as commented by the person who brought a colleague and I there. You will find all the Americana you want, but I was more focused in finding something in the menu that was not a giant burger. I choose the fish salad and seemed to be the German version of the fish and chips. I love the fried here, especially the rustic style. Maybe they grow them in the huge field outside? For the locals, seems to be pretty popular among the biker community. I would have not known or gone to this area unless was work related, so it was ok for me. read more

The setting: Located in a bucolic area, surrounded by farms and orchards, this place used to be a barn, but has been renovated years ago, to make it look like a road stop - hence its name. The inside: Rustic, quaint and all dark timber. Complete with US memorabilia and old signs, vintage license plates, old school fluorescent beer signs and advertising and an old gas pump. The food: Used to be better. Back in the days when this was one of the only burger places in town. Or, quite possibly I've just outgrown the frozen standard patty and am expecting a little bit more for a burger that sets you back between €8-12. To give you an example: They serve these standard sesame buns that you can get in bulk at discount retailers. My dad ordered their Sea Burger (or whatever it was called) and it was fish in a batter, a sad tomato, some lettuce and no sauce or extra seasoning. Yeah. Call that a dry burger - it was completely lacking any originality or love. I had their signature Road Stop Burger and they used to be more generous with the baked beans if I remember correctly. The patty must have shrunk over the years and it seemed lost in an oversized bun - the last remnant and witness of a better, more plentiful past. In general this burger gave the impression that it's lacking something - probably more generous toppings and some fresh, ground beef. And if that's too much to ask for - at least fix the toppings. So ... nothing that knocks your socks off. Don't get me wrong - I still kinda like this place. If only for their large Biergarten (which can be packed during sunny periods) and their unique atmosphere inside. So back to the burgers - I can't get rid of the impression that they've streamlined and downsized their food (in size and quality) to increase profitability and maximize profits - resulting in decreased quality. This is always a bad sign and prelude to 'I won't frequent this place anymore'. Same with the starter platter - onion rings, jalapeno poppers, chicken nuggets, tortilla chips - none of it seems home made. It's all frozen food, pretty bland, fried and served on a platter with a generic dip. Oh, that's so 90s. If you're looking for a more unique starter, try the pretty decent tortilla chicken BBQ bowl. The service: Is usually swift and friendly, however nothing that would set this place apart. The verdict / TL;DR: You can still enjoy a nice bottle of beer (they serve Miller - I guess it's what they consider American beer), or Snapple. All in a relaxed atmosphere and unique setting. If you're a biker, you'll meet lots of like minded people. Mind the evening rush though, this place gets packed. Food wise: I cannot recommend the burgers anymore, at least not if you're looking for quality food at a fair price. In that case: Don't put up with a nothingburger and head to one of the fine burger locations in nearby Düsseldorf. read more

This is a really cool place to visit. Like a real American Diner but somewhere you wouldn't expect it. The place is usually packed. Especially in the summer it's almost impossible to find a parking spot or a place to sit. People park their cars a few hundred metres down the road. The place is popular amongst bikers and sports fans come here to watch soccer games on the screen. Smoking is prohibited in the main restaurant but there's an indoor patio with long tables and benches where you can smoke. Kinda like a beer garden. In the summer you can sit on the huge outdoor patio, too. They have a typical American menu with heaps of burgers, pizzas, meats and salads to choose from. You'll also find typical pub food like onion rings and mozzarella sticks on the menu. The food is amazing!!! I have only tried their vegetarian food but comin here often I can speak for my meat-loving friends too. It's so good I'd actually kill for one of their veggie burgers right now. It's hard to find places that sell veggie burgers at all. The only reason I dont come here as often as I'd like to are the prices. Burger prices range between €4.95 (Hamburger) and €12.95 (Burn Out Burger Giant XXXL). The price is for the burger only. No side or salad. Dips cost extra. So if u get potato wedges for example u pay an extra €1.45 just for a little bowl of sour cream. That's the price for most dips (Garlic Sauce, BBQ Sauce etc.). There's a few cheaper ones for either €0.45 or €0.95. BUT if all you need is ketchup then you'll be happy to hear that there's complimentary ketchup bottles on the tables at least. Pizzas (24cm) cost about €7. The finger food is rather expensive. Drinks aren't that cheap either. Still it's definitely a place worth goin to! So if you're in the area or you wanna take your bike for a ride come check it out. You won't regret it! read more

I have to say, the burgers are not very good and we have had some pretty bad waitresses but we come here anyway to switch it up. The patio is very nice and the play area for kids is nice. Although it is not really geared for children under age 4. after coming here multiple times with our kids, we were offered a kids coloring menu and crayons... once. We have probably been here 10 times with our kids. I wish they would switchboard the menu , maybe include some Tex-mex or southwest options for those wo like a little spice? If you go for happy hour, be sure to check your bill before you pay to make sure you get the happy hour prices!

Allgemein Nur zu empfehlen wenn man bei der Nahrungsaufnahme keinerlei Wert auf Qualität und Geschmack legt. Wir besuchen immer wieder für uns neue """Restaurants""", vor allem solche! die hier auf diesem Portal mit fast 5 Sternen bewertet worden sind! Bedienung Die Bedienung im gesamten """Restaurant""" besteht aus Aushilfskräften. Was nicht immer schlecht sein muss hier aber zum Rest des Hauses passt. Die meisten sind sehr bemüht und auch sehr freundlich. Dennoch könnte man den Service mit Sicherheit stark verbessern. Das Essen Wir wussten ja schon im Vorfeld worauf wir uns einlassen würden. Es ist uns ein absolutes Rätsel warum dieser Laden fast jeden Tag so gut besucht ist. Wenn man von der Größe und den Sitzplätzen ausgeht und das nicht jeden Tag dieselben Gäste dort sind, ist das ein Armutszeugnis für diese Region. Wir haben verschiedene Gerichte bestellt und alle sind einfach nicht oder nur bedingt genießbar gewesen. Die Bürger sind grauenhaft! Das die Scheibe Fleischmasse sich Fleisch schimpfen darf....der Rest der aus der Friteuse gekommen ist, hätte sehr gerne vernünftiges und ein Fett das auf die richtige Temperatur gebracht worden ist gesehen. Mehr braucht man nicht zum Essen zu sagen! Einer der schlechtesten Bürger die je von uns gekostet worden sind. Erschleichendes Gesamtergbenis! Für die Küchenleistung absolut überteuert!! Das Ambiente Einfach Rustikal dem gesamt Ambiente angepasst. Absolutes no go....klebrige Tische. Bei Tageslicht würde ich den Laden auch nicht betreten wollen. Gut das die Hocker hoch sind und man weit weg vom Boden sitzt. read more

Unglaublich gute, gleichbleibende Quali netter & immer schneller, motivierter Service, sehr gutes Essen ob Burger oder Salat (bzw. Beiwerk). Die Getränke kann ich nicht richtig bewerten, nur Softdrinks alles bestens. Preis-Leistung 1a das musste mal gesagt werden, nachdem wir heute (zum ersten Mal) einen klassischen Diner in einem Gewerbegebiet hier Essen besucht haben und mehr als enttäuscht waren, wurde uns erst richtig bewusst WAS wir am Roadstop haben. Wie auch immer, besser vorher reservieren! read more

Road Stop immer wieder gerne. Immer wieder eine Anlaufstelle für einen entspannten Abend unter Freund, mit unglaublichen Burgern und diesen Twister Potatoes nach denen ich mich immer wieder verzehre. Satt wird man in diesem Restaurant alle Male und der amerikanische Road Stop Look ist die perfekte Kulisse für Bruger, Spare Ribs und alles was das Herz begehrt. Einzig bei den Cocktails gibt es von meiner Seite ein Pünktchen Abzug, die sind meiner Meinung nach oft zu stark. read more

Hier geht das Herz eines jedem Grill oder Burger Fan auf, man kann zwischen drei verschiedenen Fleischgrößen für seinen Burger wählen die jeweils alle im traditionellen Stil serviert werden. Des weiteren ist auch für reichlich Fingerfood gesorgt worden, weshalb man dieses lokal auch nicht mit wenig Geld verlassen wird. Bis auf die Knappheit an Plätzen, die entstehen durch den großen Kundendrang, hat man hier alles geboten. read more

Dieser Grill ist einfach klasse. Hier ist es zünftig und rustikal. Die Bedienung ist freundlich, man wird gut beraten und das Essen ist einfach toll. Zu empfehlen ist auch der Brunch am Sonntag Morgen. Als Empfehlung sei nur anzumerken, dass mann am besten vorher einen Platz reserviert, da dieser Grill sehr stark frequentiert ist. read more

Der beste American Diner, den ich kenne. Hier kann man lieb gewonnenes Essen aus USA-Aufenthalten authentisch wiedererleben. Die Bedienung ist ebenfalls gut, das Ambiente mit US-amerikanischen und Kanadischen Fundstücken nett gestaltet. Durch die Nähe zur A52 gut erreichbar und definitiv einen Trip wert. read more

Amerikanischer Laden mit sehr guter Küche. Das Ambiente und auch der Sevice sind super. Zur Primetime sollte man einen Tisch reservieren. Die Curl Fries und die Barbecue Sauce sind der Knaller. Wer American Barbecue mag, wir den Roadstop lieben. read more
