There is no gas. I was welcomed by the clerk as I entered and later asked if I needed help finding anything. Inside features a good selection of craft and domestic beers. There is a small selection of wine. At the back of the store are cases of cold power drinks and sodas. There is a small coffee bar. The center of the store houses shelves of snacks and pantry items. And behind the clerk is a freezer with ice cream bars which attracts the neighborhood kids in the summer. Outside, there is neatly piled stacks of firewood and an ice machine.

I think they take it very seriously too because just before I left, there were these three buttons to rate how clean it was in there also the woman working the register greeted me everyone that came in and greeted us on our way out. This year's customer service is giving me hope! Well done everyone! And it was so packed at 10pm but all the customers were nice too letting people pass by and being friendly. I asked him his name because I wanted to make sure I had it when I report him to the State Board of Pharmacy and to CVS corporate. As a response he took the insulin away from me that was for my son, who had run out of supply today. He said he wasn't CVS and didn't have to give me the insulin and forced me to apologize. I will never patronize the CityWayCVS again and if I can help it, any CVS which is hard due to their monopoly on the market. Completely uncalled for and unprofessional.

So all of the old reviews that mention Marsh don't apply to this newer store, now called Needler's Fresh Market. I don't know -- I think Needler's is pretty good! It has a little bakery on site (Lemon's Bakery Cafe), which has hot food and baked goods, with seating by big windows that overlook Mass Ave. Beyond the cafe, the rest of the joint is a small grocery store. You'll find a modest produce section with fresh-looking greens and fruit and things. They sell house-made hummus and sushi. The wine section is abysmal, but I did find a bottle of one of my cheapie low-key favorite bottles of Malbec here, so I picked that up. The dried ramen section is also better than it needs to be. The prices seem to be about the same as Kroger and other grocery stores. Checkout was quick and there were several registers open. The only thing is that I entered through the cafe and exited by the registers, so I got a little turned around once I exited. Keep in mind that you can only enter/exit through the cafe at certain hours. They lock that door after a particular time. (I think it's 5 or 6 p.m.)
