This is an expensive market, but I was able to find a SEEDED watermelon her for $10, so this place is alright with me! It's hard to find a seeded watermelon these days, so I was estatic when I saw them staged outside the back entrance to the store (where the parking lot is). I also grabbed a gallon of unsweetened tea, a couple ears of fresh corn and some Advil. I was able to find everything I needed with ease and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Needler's is a nice little grocery store within walking distance of Mass Ave. It has a parking lot as well as metered parking along the street. It's a nice place to stop in if you need something quick downtown as far as groceries sake. I love the flowers and plants they sell. Every holiday they have the best selection. I recently bought my grandma a nice real wreath with juniper berries, pinecones and was made with pine leaves. It smelled amazing and had a nice red bow on it. My grandma loved it and it's hanging on her door. They sell Rosie's gooey butter cakes there and have a little cafe up front. I noticed they had a nice self serve salad bar during the day. They had lots of great looking dips, meals, rotisserie chicken all ready to go. I'm glad this grocery store is here as I come here every now and then for different things and always find what I'm looking for.

I go to Needlers 2-3 x's per week for the salad bar. Today I had the rudest cashier, Lisa, receipt attached. She was appalled, when I questioned her putting my small pod of salad dressing on the scale with my salad. I advised, No, I had not Ever been charged for salad dressing. She rudely responded by saying that they told me wrong. I said no, they didn't have to tell me anything, as it's never came up. It has appeared to be a complimentary condiment. So I further stated that it was ok, I didn't need it. She went on & on & not only referred to her coworkers as stupid But repeated it 4x's. She said well, I'm going to Give it to you this time. I said fine & I won't be back. I grocery shop there about 2x's per week, although Needler's is pricey. It's a hometown market & I try to support it for that reason. I was offended by her referring to her coworkers as STUPID. I was at the Needler's in Pendleton. The cashier name on the receipt is Lisa. 6/10/25, 5:42 p.m. Receipt 681434 Terminal 03. I have a supporting picture of the receipt, not sure if I can post it. Buyer beware of Lisa & of her silver tongue.

The cafe area of Needlers Fresh Market is sooo cute! If you need a quick coffee, tea, or need a little space to work on the computer, stop by. I had a herbal tea with honey, very good. I also ordered the carrot cupcake with cream cheese icing, and it was SUPER dry, not very good at all. If the cupcake tasted better, NEEDLERS would have received five stars.

It's pretty shady, maybe even a bit deceptive to have signs and product packaging with "on sale" stickers for a good price, and then not honor that price at the checkout counter when the register employee doesn't bother to ask you to enter all your information in order to receive the sale price! Or that you have to sign up and enter your phone number every time in order to get the sale price. And of course the customer service desk who could easily remedy the situation by offering the discount after the fact when pointed out to them could not be bothered or could not care less, bad look, bad business, and when you're paying a premium like this for items, I would like some basic customer service skills aka sympathize, and rectify! the North New Jersey Street store in Indy has grossly soured my experience for shopping there, now I'll have to be pretty desperate to go there at all!

It's great that there is a grocery store downtown available near mass ave. Often when I am strolling around the city and need a quick snack or drink, and don't want to wait in one of the restaurants, I will stop in at Needler's. They have everything you need and is very comparable to a Fresh Time mixed with a Kroger. The produce is pretty good quality, and there are several options available that you might not find elsewhere. I have had some negative experiences with staff who are unsure of where to find things or what to do there, and have had a few negative conversations at checkout.

Is there a Needler's in Hartford City, IN and do they carry Norbest Turkeys?

I'm not sure. This store was formally Marsh Supermarket which remained open when others closed.

There's nothing basic about borage and I love that! This place is a gem. They also have a cafe/market area where you can order drinks and pastries. Whoever you are... thank you. You changed my life. The sweet woman behind the counter heard where I was from and handed me a complimentary glazed yeast donut. Let me tell you... WHEW! It wasn't even fresh out of the oven, and it still melted in my mouth. Light, soft, perfectly glazed... I knew right then I was in trouble. I ended up buying a box with blueberry cake, applesauce cake, cinnamon sugar, Bavarian cream, glazed yeast, and a few others. Everything was incredibly fresh, and at those prices, I had to double-check the menu because I thought I was reading it wrong! When I got back to my parents' house in Louisville, we warmed a few up for just a few seconds. Game over. They somehow tasted even better. My plan was to take some to church tomorrow to share... but judging by how fast they're disappearing, I may be testifying about them instead. Yes, these are quite a bit pricer that's for sure. People were buying one of everything in line. I was like wow! Some Items the combinations of flavors didn't appeal to me. I love tiramisu and pecan pie so I got them both. One suggestion I would have is to have utensils and napkins at the table for people to use. The pastries I bought are really temperature sensitive and need to be kept cold. Both had a cream - mousse inside. They wouldn't last long only a day or to the next. I loved the pecan item I ordered. It was great! The tiramisu one I wouldn't order again. The bottom flakey part was so bitter. I love coffee and expresso and tiramisu. But, the whole thing just wasn't what I thought it would taste like. Now I know. :-( Creamy, sweet, smooth, with a kick of coffee all come together to make a great tiramisu. The bitter taste of espresso paired with the sweet mascarpone cream filling reminded me of the holidays when I would watch my mom make tiramisu for our family.
