This was our second time stopping here driving our UTV's, we love the food here such as the pizza, pretzel bites, and cheese curds. All of these were wonderful and tasted amazing. The service was also amazing and they also put on the Brewers game for everyone to watch. The ambiance was also very nice and the bar was beautifully decorated in all sorts of things such as black bears, hoods of cars, and much more that made you feel like you were up north in Wisconsin. I went to this bar/restaurant for lunch during a busy rush on widows weekend and had meat loaf, mashed potatoes and green beans. The food was incredible, tasted just like a home cooked meal. The staff was incredibly nice. The food also came out fast. The atmosphere was positive and fun, clean place. I would highly recommend going here. I will be making this a regular place to come when I'm in the area. read more

New owners came in and gave the place a nice overhaul. I believe the owner does most of the cooking while her dad and sister help with other needs like bartending and waiting on tables. The bar is pretty big and it is surrounded by four or five tables. I have a friend that owns a cabin close by, so I have usually get up to this norrthwoods area a couple of times a year but this was my first (and second) times I have been here since the new owners took over. On Friday Night my friends and I went in for the traditional "Fish Fry". I was very happy with my Perch Plate and was so excited that the still offer the dark rye "onion sandwich" (a hold over from the old Flatlander's Bar). The very best part of my meal was the soup. I have never tried a Cauliflower Bacon Soup before but it was top notch! If fact, it was so good I went back the next night to have another bowl! On Saturday, after a long day of golf and cocktails, we decided to go back and watch some of the Packer Pre-Season Football game. This time we all had a burger and the soup. The burgers they serve here are huge and delicious! Most of us couldn't finish our meals. They do offer a smaller burger on the menu. Here's the drawback. The place is very popular on weekends, and It can take a long time to get your food. It was very busy both nights, Friday took about a half hour, but Saturday took almost 90 minutes! We've been driving by Roadhouse 139 for years, but tonight decided to stop in for dinner for the first time. The atmosphere is just as you'd expect for a roadhouse, a jukebox, pool table, darts, several TVs. The food was really good. The burgers are large and delicious. The chips and French onion dip is very special. The bartender(Fred) was friendly and the "chef"(Paul) delivered the food hot and fresh of the grill. We're looking forward to coming back for the Friday night fish fry. read more

Was okay, but not planning on going back. The appetizer platter was a disappointment, only one cheese curd. When asked, was told the bags are prepackaged, and we get what we get. Had the cod basket, all I could taste was greese. Wife got the chicken wings, and she wasn't impressed by the flavor. read more

$12 walleye Friday fish fry (comes with potato salad or French fries or ______ + coleslaw + rye bread). All 4 of us had it - we all enjoyed our meal immensely. Service is excellent. Parking out front not a problem. Specials every night of the week except Saturday. Fried chicken on Sundays. We will be back again. read more

Incredibly noisy bar with loud music that blares with outside speakers sometimes up to 11 hours straight on Saturdays. Family visited town resort and said they could not hear themselves think. They asked how the residents of Long Lake put up with it. We wonder too. read more

We waited an hour for a waitress to take our order and another 2 hours to get our food. Employees didn't seem to care that we waited that long. There were employees who were sitting around drinking a beer and smoking cigarettes without a care in the world. Then the waitress said that is how long it takes and it was a 2 hour wait after we got our food. If we weren't so hungry and an hour ride to the cabin we would have left After an hour. read more

Ate here while driving through to the upper peninsula and turned out to be a great place to grab a quick bite to eat. Even though it can be a sit down place there was a big bar where we sat and we were attended to immediately, probably because it was a Monday at noon and they weren't very busy, but still nice. Our server was great and attended t all our needs. The food came quickly and was good. I had the chicken sandwich with bacon and some other toppings. The bun was toasted, which is something you don't get many places, the chicken was cooked well and wasn't dry, thick cut bacon was great. Prices were also very good, for two people with two entrees and a soda was only $13. Atmosphere was small-town restaurant/bar and they had plenty of tvs on. Everything was clean. Food is great, clean, friendly, and prices are accurate to were they should be. Under new owners as of a year ago and things only get better. Food quality is high and the price isn't. There burgers are A++ and they use real bacon on them if ordered. read more
