We came here around 5:15 pm on a Sunday. We were seated immediately, there were only 2 other tables. We ordered cheese curds which I felt were good but extremely greasy. My salmon was okay, I didn't like the garlic sauce on it. My entree came with a salad or for $1 more a soup. My husband's Mac and chicken was amazing. I should have ordered that. We ordered cheesecake for dessert. It was pretty good, but not worth the $10 price tag. I usually pay $7-$8 for a cheesecake of that size. Large selection of wine and beer.

We've been going to Black Forest for years. It's an absolute must if you're visiting Three Lakes. Tonight we had the Katsu Curry and the Bruschetta, which is relatively new to the menu. I enjoyed both. I do recommend getting extra bread for the Bruschetta. Our service was great all around. The whole staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Outstanding.  Some of the most outstanding hospitality we've experienced in the Northwoods.  Black Forest Pub & Grille was a real treat tonight.  From the engaging conversation with Collin and Mike at the historic Bar to the vivacious charm of our server Kat - our food and dining experience far surpassed our expectations.  My seared Salmon was perfect and the handmade fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp was buttery and creamy.  Make the drive as soon as you can, you'll be glad you did.  Ask for Mike & Kat to enjoy their enthusiasm and Northwoods hospitality.

Fried pickle intriguing and unique. I just kept coming back for more but also made us thirsty. Pretzel sticks are simple and good. Cheese is a little Spicy. Jagerschnitzel is where it's at! Chocolate Lava cake was also solid. Pizza was decent but I hold pizza to a high standard. Prolly the most expensive but best place in town I'd bet.

Great service and delicious food. Their Friday night fish fry is so tasty! I ordered the perch which came with red cabbage (subbed the potato), cole slaw, and homemade rye bread.

    Great German atmosphere. Gemutlichkeit!

Really great experience at this German Northwoods gem in Three Lakes. Loved the atmosphere. Bar is gorgeous with the wood and German steins. They have a variety of German dishes and several other items for kids and those that don't love German food as I do. Service was friendly. I had a great time.

Black and blue salad (beef tenderloin) YUM! Medium Rare!

Yagerschnitzil and black and blue salad---YUM! (Also, Coca-Cola from abroad--more sugar--amazing). Medium rare done to perfection! The service did not miss a beat here..if I could say anything --this beautiful place also has traditional WI fare as well--cheese curds, pizza, burgers, brandy old fashions. Just go and enjoy!

It was a great restaurant since I was brought there as a child up until they closed in 2022. So sad.

Closed for good. What a shame. Like so many others in the area. Nobody wants to work anymore it seems.

As with many cases this season they were very short staffed and trying to offer good service to those that had made reservations. Our server had several tables including one of 16 people. I can't believe how good the service ended up being with Karen our waitress. As a seasoned vet in this Industry she was on top of everything. Additionally the food was Breyer than I had hoped for. We all started with the salad bar which was clean and organized. They did end up running out of ranch dressing which was a disappointment but that was the only thing that fell short the entire evening. After the salads the four of us has the French onion soup which was better than most I've had. This was followed by our main course. Two of us has the 10 oz. Fillets, on had the 16oz ribeye and lastly one liver and onions. All the steaks were fabulous and the liver was also good from what I hear. There was no rushing, Karen our server timed out servings perfectly and the evening turned out spectacular. A big kudos to the Manager for getting us in. This will be a part of our rotation moving forward. Don't forget to make reservations!

I asked to see a manager to complain and the server said the owner wan't there and didn't seem to be a manager there. The server said the chef wasn't familiar with the gf menu. Wow

It's not quite in "the best I've ever had" category, but I come from Chicago so I'm a pizza snob. I also like the pizza sticks. These are similar to pizza, but they are cut into thin like strips or sticks. Maybe due to the fact that it's finger food they don't have sauce on them and you're supposed to dip them in marinara. It's similar to pizza yet a little different. I also highly recommend the chicken Caesar salad and the nachos are good as well. The red and green salsa are good; however, I recommend the green. A nice beach, volleyball court, and boat docking facilities are available.

Our serve Aria was excellent. Cheese curds not of good Wis standards seemed like frozen out of a box product at a handmade price. Other food items burgers chicken sandwiches BLT were very good, for prices charged fries or onion rings should have been included as an option not an add on. Very disappointed about speed of service only 4 tables being served in the dining room and three outside...took almost 50 minutes to receive our order. Everything was clean and orderly.
