She followed our every move except when checking someone out at the register I kneeled down to check out a piece of pottery that had some medal inside and when she heard a clinkig noise and quickly said out loud from where she was " if you break it you buy it, if you break it you will have to purchase it,". Then she proceeded to come to where we were. I had purchased pieces form a nearby antique store, one of which I was holding in my hand. She demanded to see it's tag. To which I nicely obliged. She then told us that she needed to tell us they had just installed security cameras, which she repeated several times. I was shocked and sickened that we were treated this way. We quickly left the store as we were all very upset. No one should be treated this way. I suggest Ownership ( if she wasn't the owner) should really address this issue. I would not recommend anyone support this establishment until this is addressed and sales people are appropriately trained. Sadly, Another example of how racism is alive and well in America.

No matter what the question is, they act like they're being torn away from something more important. Today, I walked in at 4:50, knowing they close at 5pm. I was "greeted" at the door by a woman who just said "We close at 5". No hello. No real sentiment. Her tone clearly indicated I had interrupted her. I told her I knew that because I had just walked by the hours of operation sign on the door. I did a very quick sweep. Grabbed two things and was standing in line to be checked out at 4:56pm. There was one customer finishing up at the register and one still in the store browsing. Several associates, including Ms. Welcome Wagon, were discussing things including customers. I mentioned that I worked in the restaurant industry and it was my employers policy that if someone came in at one minute till closing, they were treated with the same courtesy that the first customer of the day recieved. Ms. WW began shrieking that I was rude and had somehow deeply offended her. She took off without finishing the transaction, screaming the entire way about the colossal wrong I had committed. She came back with a manager, who looked at me like I was a dead rat on the floor and agreed with her co-worker. I apologized and again explained our policy of treating all customers the same, regardless of what time they came in. The sour faced manager told me that was good for me but they just did not do that. I didn't know what else to say, so I left. The clock said 5:00 as I got in my car. I try to be respectful to everyone and particularly, my customers. After all, it's my job, what I get paid, through the customers, to do. I don't think these two employees realize that.

My mother purchased a beautiful wooden kitchen island with a marble top and leather woven stools for her home. She came home one day to find the marble countertop side trim pieces shattered on the floor. This kitchen island is now dangerous with sharp edges exposing that the marble countertop is less than a 1/2 inch thick. The owner was unwilling to give her any accommodation or good will gesture to rectify this defective piece. I was told to sand the sharp edges to prevent injury to my mother's aged thin skin. I guess you get what you pay for as this was a reasonably priced solution for her kitchen and now it's dangerous and unsightly.
