When I inquired about driving lessons for my teen daughter, the company prided themselves in having…read moresafety measures in place for the students including constant dash cam recordings and detailed background checks for all employees. Even though I didn't ask, this was an added security measure that put me at ease. After the first lesson, I reached out to the instructor to see how things went and communicate some skills I hoped she could work on. (At this point, she had mastered basic driving skills, but I wanted her to be more comfortable with interstate and high traffic driving.) His response was both confusing and alarming. He responded in a very aggressive manor. I was blown away at the response and had to re-read the text to see if I had mistyped something. I contacted the office, read them the text message. They were very apologetic stating that was not his normal behavior. I asked if they had the footage from her lesson so that I could understand what I was missing, but they stated that they were unable to separate other children out of the video, so they could not show me. I didn't think much of it, but thought it was odd to advertise this safety feature and not actually have it available for parents to view. They offered a new instructor and I was appreciative. When we got the new instructor's name, I discovered that he had MULTIPLE felonies including drug charges, domestic violence, and breaking and entering. He was convicted and served prison time just 2 years prior for domestic violence, violating a restraining order, and breaking and entering the home of the victim. I literally had the thought that maybe this guy had a double ganger because they said they did background checks. Unfortunately, this was not the case. They had been aware of the felonies, then lied to me and said that it was "a long time ago", and that he was "not convicted" even though the public record showed he was. I explained my concerns with my daughter being alone in a car with this man and my disappointment with the dishonesty in their policies. I also acknowledged that he may be a great instructor, and I feel that everyone deserves a second chance. However, I did not feel comfortable with him teaching my daughter with his history. I asked for a refund, and it was granted. Please be cautious with instructors from this driving school. I ended up hiring Shannon from Adapt2Drive. Due to the level of experience of my daughter's skills, she only needed 3 lessons. Shannon was amazing and my daughter passed her driving test with flying colors.

My experience was they said full refund and made a lot of promises. I asked for refund prior to last day of refund to the Owner. Told to wait because it would get better. Went a 2nd time, told the same thing. Then third time I insisted. Told 3rd time (again by owner), the day for refund was past and state law would not allow a refund and I could sue them if I wanted, but no refund would be issued. (This from the owner). 3. Even if that wasn't an issue, the RVIA/RVDA now has it's own training program: RVTI. (This option did not exist until last year.) You are much better off and will save money as they RVTI enforces the curriculum, develops the tests, and maintains records. And you know RVTI is legitimate organization. They are officially endorsed by both RVIA & RVDA and respected by heavy weights in the industry like LazyDays , LaMesa as well as other RV companies. 4. Life may be like a box of chocolates and you never know what you are going to get. But, why risk thousands of dollars and months of your time. Go to the source, save money, and have confidence that your training is from an industry recognized organization. Both my friend and I were laughed out when we told them we were graduates of this school. If I had a do-over, now that there is an RVTI, I wouldn't even bother looking anywhere else (maybe RV Academy as they are well respected). The reason for 4 stars is that the courses are often a bit of a mess on Mycourses but the teachers will try to correct their mistakes when pointed out . It's still a tough major to be in especially if you have a job given the work load. It's good as far as a college goes and will work in your favor as long as you make it work for you. Only wish they were a little more put together on schedules.
