It was like a sad, cake-less episode of Mission Impossible. In a final act of desperation (and possibly madness), I opened a Yelp project request, and bam--Santos to the rescue! Not only did he respond faster than a pizza delivery guy, but he quoted me an amazing price despite it being a last-minute, urgent cake mission. Like, I could almost hear him say, "Cake? No problem." Then, the real magic happened. Santos sent me photos of him arriving at the bakery, a screenshot of the GPS routing him to my sister's home (he's basically the cake delivery GPS whisperer), and even a shot of the cake safely at my sister's doorstep like a true cake hero. Unfortunately they both used GLS to ship the liquors. We have signs that state where to put deliveries along the driveway and at the side door of garage AND the front garage doors there are SIGNS that state "Do Not Leave Packages Here". Still the GLS idiots delivered the liquors WITHOUT A SIGNATURE FROM US!! The driver put the boxes at the side garage door IN THE FULL SUN & TEMPS WERE OVER 85 DEGREES!!! The first box stayed outside for over nine hours in the sun and heat so that bottle was ruined. I called and GLS said THAT THEY GOT A SIGNATURE FROM US!! We have multiple Ring cameras. I downloaded the video showing that the IDIOT never went to the door with the sign "Leave Packages Here", which also has a Ring Doorbell. Ring Doorbell has no video at the time of delivery. Only side & garage Ring cameras of house show driver at front and then side door of garage. So GLS DRIVER COMMITTED FRAUD for liquor packages, that are wrapped in RED TAPE THAT STATE SIGNATURE REQUIRED FROM ADULT 21 or OLDER! The second liquor store sent a message with approximate time of delivery. Grateful because that liquor is even harder to find. GLS IDIOT shows up & never rang the doorbell. I run out to find a repeat of the previous day. Box placed at side garage door in full sun!! Idiot says "Oh sorry" & I ripped into him about all the visible signs. I asked why he can't go up 4 steps to place a package on the shaded porch? I let the idiot know I have him and the previous day on camera and that I was calling GLS, the liquor stores, and my credit card about how they committed fraud for a delivery requiring a signature given that no person signed for the boxes!
