Adorable little coffee nook. Fascinating pneumatic delivery. Excellent selection of beans. Absolutely fabulous counter service.

Grabbed a quick cup of coffee after our flight to wake up and this place was right outside our terminal, so it was convenient. Hey, it's a cup of coffee.

This spot is great! If you're looking for some good coffee that isn't from one of the chains, this is the spot. They roast the coffee themselves if I'm not mistaken I may do a fantastic job with the drinks they make. If you got a few minutes to burn before your flight, this is the spot to stop!

This location is post-security on Concourse E of MSP. They have this cool system of tubes and pipes that transport whole coffee beans from a storage container, over to the machine to grind them and then make your drink. I think the system shoots the beans through these clear tubes using compressed air. I ordered their version of a cold brew - more like an iced coffee as it was not pre-chilled. I asked for extra ice to make sure the drink was cold and delicious. It was a tad on the weak side - most likely due to pouring hot coffee over ice - hence the 4 stars as opposed to 5 stars. Service was friendly! #RoastingPlantCoffee

ABSOLUTELY delicious, spacious, quiet airport cafe with fresh, not-too-sweet pastries and a huge selection of coffee drinks and beans.

So nice to be able to select the bean and roasting profile of your coffee. Freshly roasted on site. A substantial number of beans to choose from. Such a treat to have an alternative to the burnt flavor of Sbucks. Started with a light Peru and had a lovey Jamaican for the walk to my gate. Worth seeking out if you care about the flavor of the coffee. And if you have kids they'll be enthralled by the roasting system and all the pipes that feed freshly roasted coffee directly into the grinder.

I wanted to love this place... I've been roasting coffee at home for about 6 months, so this place really piqued my interest. The roasting, and dispensing is all automatic; greens are cylindrical clear bins on one side, tubes and diverted hub above routes the beans via airflow to the roasting chamber, after roasting the chaff is pulled to a separate bin and the freshly roasted beans are delivered to the holding bins opposite the greens. Here's the really cool part, when you order, the beans for your coffee selection are pulled via the tubes into the grinder/roaster automatically. Cool concept. However, the service was terrible, customer service was absent. The single person behind the counter didn't speak English. Orders ahead of me were wrong, my order was repeated back to me incorrectly 3 times. It took about 9 minutes for me to get to the counter with only 2 people ahead of me (and there was line behind me of about 8 people, feel sorry for that last person). The espresso itself was mediocre. Not sure the grind was dialed in for the automatic machine. They have a lot of potential but fell very short.

Creative concept for a coffee stop that's apparently a national chain. the Roasting Plant is great for bona fide coffee lovers who want a selection of hard to source, fresh ground beans from some of the most exclusive coffee spots in the world. I loved picking out Jamaican blue mountain beans from the center display tubes and watching it shoot up the vacuum to be fresh ground and brewed on the spot, just for me. Process was swift, just as fast or faster than Starbucks. My small cup of couture coffee was $4.54, steep but fair. It had a beautiful crema and was piping hot, delicious, and worth the price tag for a Pre-takeoff pick me up. Condiment station was messy when I arrived, but there was only one barista staffing the shop, and business was steady during the 20 min I was here. He quickly refilled the half and half for me, despite having a line, and then tidied the station when the line was gone. Definitely check out the Roasting Spot for a fresh cup or a special bag of beans for your hosts or your loved ones- they will be thoroughly impressed!

Grabbing a quick coffee before a flight and being entertained at the same time? Win-win in my book! This coffee shop stores their beans in tubes pre and post roasting. When you place an order you can watch and hear the roasted beans go flying in the air to the baristas machine to be ground and heated into your perfect cup of coffee. Coffee not your thing? They have a nice tea selection to choose from as well. They also have other typical airport fair by way of overpriced snack food. It's a total novelty but when traveling through airports it's hard to find the small joys a place like this can offer. So watch your coffee fly through the air before you do.

Stopped in for a quick cup of coffee with an added shot of espresso for a long night and it was delightful. Clean and bright. Friendly staff made the stop worth it. The bean zipping around overhead is fun too. Hope to return in the future for food. Great cup of coffee, smooth and light. Perfect. Well done Roasting Plant. Keep up the good work.

It has an experience of watching the beans travel overhead in a see through tube for grinding and roasting.

There is some street parking as well as some paid ramps. I came in on a Saturday morning around 10AM. By then, it was busy, but I was able to still find a seat. I enjoyed a seasonal lemon bar latte (yum!) and a gluten free banana chocolate chip muffin. I will likely be back. The coffee is great, the parking situation is just a bit weird.

I used to live in the area and when the small coffee shop opened I was so exited to have that in our community and was happy to support them - even if some coffee beverages were top dollar. I was in the area today, and decided to stop in since I no longer live in the area and wanted to enjoy a good brew. Unfortunately, the experience I had left me leaving with a bitter taste in my mouth - and it wasn't from the coffee. I thought it goes without saying, but when a customer greets you, you should greet them back, not just stare. It would be even better if your staff would greet each customer first - make them feel welcome. Maybe I'm a millennial channeling boomer energy, but for years I'm noticing the customer service disappearing from a lot of businesses. I love that connection, but I'm understanding that some people see only a paycheck and skid by with minimal customer service and that is the new way. I don't plan to visit this establishment again. I wish the barista with star tattoos would have put in enough customer service energy that she did with her impeccable makeup.

The atmosphere is very cool and laidback, there's plenty of open space and seating options with outlets close by. The decor is really fun and eclectic as well. I'm more of a chai latte person than a coffee person, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that they carry Chiya Chai from Namaste Cafe. I love being able to support multiple local businesses and find it really cool when places collaborate like that. The barista was also very nice and welcoming and did not seem bothered at all by me asking about their chai supplier. There was yoga taking place out front and there were tons of people setting up tables for a vintage/ second hand market that was set to start at noon. I asked what time the market would open, and one of the vendors said "noon, but no one would be upset if you came in early". It was only 10:30, so I thought that was so nice of her to say that. Just overall a cool, welcoming vibe where it just felt like a great community space that people could have a good time.
