Come for the small batch roasted bean coffee. Stay for the beautiful patio. We had yirgacheffe pour-overs.

They have decaf! I've been on a cute-coffee-shop journey lately, and this is one I'm excited to return to. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My friends and I wanted to hang out at a cool place, someplace with decaf to accommodate one of us, and we hit the jackpot with this place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a few food items in displays on the counter, like doughnuts and granola bars, but mostly you're here for the coffee. They pride themselves on roasting a variety of coffee beans from around the world, and the three of us experienced the subtle differences in those flavors. I got the "no-brainer" which advised to just order without wondering what's in it. So I don't, but it was cool. It's really good coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a charming dog-friendly patio with lots of space, so that's where we hung out for a couple of hours.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I want to come back soon and try something different.

This place was recommended by a local, who promptly told me not to expect big city appeal: "Don't judge this place by it's cover. It's not 'cute' but the coffee is great quality." Sure enough, the place is not "pretty" or trendy but it has its charm. It's a cozy neighborhood joint that was full on our arrival around 3 o'clock. Busyness was a sign that it's a favorite. We ordered a Mile (latte with honey and cinnamon) and a dark chocolate mocha. We also ordered some treats (but they don't look house-made). We were happy with our coffee. They roast the beans here and you can taste it. Fresh, rich and full of flavor. We'd come back.

i had a great experience at j & s bean factory. i got the iced lavender latte. it was super strong! service was quick and efficient. both baristas were super nice. there's a bunch of local goodies available for purchase! i love that they support small businesses! [[HIGHLIGHT]]there are about 10-12 tables, but the cafe itself is pretty small.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] street parking is available right next to the cafe. overall rating: 10/10

Lovely! Not my first pick for coffee in Saint Paul as we are spoiled with lovely options, however, I do hope to add this into my mix more frequently. Larger interior space with an outdoor patio during the nicer months, fun apparel, lots of drink, on-site roaster, and the most syrup flavors I've seen in any coffee house. Speaking of flavors, I made my own hot maple - cinnamon latte and it was fabulous. The barista recommended using cinnamon sprinkle powder on top which aided to my review of service along with the hand drawn face on my to go cup. On my next visit, I hope to try the patio out. 4 stars because parking is wonky and I don't get the same cozy feel as some other spots. None the less, absolutely nothing wrong with it.

I love this quirky coffee shop and roaster for many reasons. 1. In warmer months, they have a spacious and cute outdoor patio area. Some people are chatting, some bring their dogs, some are working. It's such a vibe. 2. The interior is just a mix of decor and feels so homey, welcoming, and cozy. 3. The smell of the coffee roasting, if you're lucky to be there when the magic is happening. (can they post a roasting schedule??) 4. They offer soy, oat, and almond milk 5. The coffee is good, the espresso is good, the chai is good 6. Parking is street parking but I never struggle to find a spot close enough

What a cute little find! My friend and I stopped here to get coffee and croissants before going for a hike. I randomly chose this place and was so glad I did! This place is kind of tucked away but it was pretty busy for 9 am on a Sunday. They roast their coffee in-house and they have lots of different varieties to choose from. This cafe was super cosy with inside and outside seating. The service was great, they even warmed up our croissants. The coffee was phenomenal. I had a decaf PSL and I loved their take on it because it wasn't super sweet. Great find, highly recommend.

Walking in, there are lots of wood accents, stools, booths and PLENTY of plug ins if you want to come here and study/get work done! The service was disappointing to be honest. This place had the vibes to have such a fun crew working and instead we barely even got 2 words for the person who rang us up. The person who made our drinks also had zero interaction. Such a missed opportunity! This is why I removed a star. The coffee: This is one of my new favorite coffees I have ever had! I got an iced whipped honey latte and it was DELICIOUS! The coffee wasn't overly bitter, had good flavor and the whipped honey was definitely a unique treat! Overall, I really did enjoy my time at this coffee shop! It definitely can get busy but don't let that deter you from getting a delicious coffee from these guys! Oh and yes, they do have some snack/lunch/bakery items here to if you get hungry!!

More of a hang-out-with-friends coffee shop than a hunker-down-with-your-laptop spot. There was dance music playing on the speakers and lots of chatter. Not a bad thing at all, that's just the vibe here. I got an iced coffee from their specials menu and it hit the spot. I'd get it again except that I don't quite remember its deal. I also got a danish that was fine, but sometimes I feel like this type of coffee shop has a pastry case just to give you the bare minimum to eat while you're drinking what you're really there for. They have a cute patio that feels like someone's back yard, but a lot more seating is available inside. I'm glad I finally tried a Spyhouse and I'll likely return.

It was a bit of decision fatigue before finally landing on our order. I tried the bananarama chai and my friend had their lychee matcha. The matcha almost tasted completely fruity with no actual matcha taste, to the point where it came off more like a smoothie or juice than a caffeinated drink.
