I would recommend this program to anyone looking to enrich their parenting skill set and as a way to connect with other parents. See Glassdoor.com for proof of this. I truly feel sorry for the actual tutors. Here's how it went from the beginning to the end: During the sales pitch, they introduce tutors called "Clinicians". Sounds official, right? So what training/accreditation do these "Clinicians" have? Do they go to postgraduate school for 2 or 3 years and obtain a teaching credential? If only. A high school diploma and two weeks (two weeks! Employees at call centers get more training than that. Two weeks of slipshod training at Lindamood Bell makes you a "Clinician". My wife and I really should have known better, after their hard sell first meeting. It was reminiscent of a time share sales pitch. The pitch is very hard sell, but very seductive, they break open binders of data and talk a great game. Once you enroll, there is absolutely no follow through. The poor tutors are too stressed, overworked and underpaid, as mentioned. The facility in the front is beautiful. When you enroll, and your child actually gets into the back of the facility where all the "schooling" takes place, it's dirty, with cheap, rickety furniture, stained walls. But we were willing to overlook all that at first if our son actually receive the kind of education they promised. So what of the "education"? You could do this for free. It was just like free curriculum you could download from a wide variety of sources. It was so bland, generic, uninspired. It seemed like watered down high school curriculum. Save yourself a lot of grief and seek the wide variety of curriculum available online for special needs kids for 1% of what you would waste here. So, to wrap up, $24,000 later, after my son wasted an year here, in this pseudo-school. My son even complained that he did not enjoy it, didn't learn anything of value (Their "Economics" curriculum was clearly downloaded from some generic site). There were other special needs kids with antisocial behavior, and that's fine, but Linda Mood Bell allows those kids to run rampant and interfere/pester other students. It was a zoo some days. There were not very many students at all, and I can see why.

He spent extra time with her to assess her abilities since she had taken a couple driving classes awhile ago. Since she's away at school and didn't have access to a car for her test, he made his car available to her and went with her. That is going above and beyond and shows that he truly cares about his students. She took her test and passed! I would give Central Coast Driving School 10 stars if I could!

It obviously wasn't safe sleep for my baby, and the sleep deprivation was getting dangerous for my husband and me, as well. We had a live in nanny for the first 15 months of our son's life due to his issues falling and staying asleep. Since birth he would sleep 20-30 minutes at a time and never more than 10 hours in a 24 hour period. It was beyond exhausting. We tried every sleep suit, swaddling apparatus, special bed, how to sleep book, and even cosleeping out of desperation. A colleague told us about Kerrin and how she helped his two young children (both had colic) develop a sleep routine. It sounded too good to be true. We paid for the package which allows phone consultation and then contact for 2 weeks. The hour long consult was informative, but I was incredibly skeptical. I could agree that Tv at night was bad. But the idea of putting him to sleep at 7:30pm and expecting him to stay there until the next morning was insane. He had been drinking 20+ oz of milk overnight and had never slept in the crib. I was certain the plan would fail. The first night was difficult, but honestly so much easier than I could have imagined. The second night he slept through the entire night. No food, no mommy, just sleep. It is now 6 weeks later. He goes to sleep at 7:30pm and wakes up around 6am with no issues all night. He is pleasant and cheerful and more emotionally even keel during the day. He is well rested. His little toddler brain is happy. She said, " When your dad was overseas, and a dance was held, the American Red Cross was there, selling coffee and doughnuts." When asked what made that bad, she said, " They were donated- so the Red Cross was collecting money for donated items! And those guys were not making much money as G.I.s." Fast Forward to 2004, I worked as a physical therapist at an outpatient clinic in southern California. A firefighter came in for an injury on a vast mountain fire. We talked, and I asked him how the food was out there in the middle of nowhere. He said, " Well, we had Starbucks and a place giving out free sandwiches." I asked whether there was an American Red Cross there, and he said, " Yeah, but the coffee was $2.00, and the sandwiches were too expensive. None of us went there." Now, I KNOW the Red Cross does good work. I know that the staff works hard, and sometimes it is a thankless job. But, when you have food donated and still charge substantial funds to people who are risking their lives- no thanks. They help a LOT during floods, earthquakes, etc. But I am not impressed with their " business model." Just my opinion.

I love this place! Sunday dance lessons are fun with a great group of people. I don't have to bring…read moremy own dance partner, because we switch partners several times per lesson. I've been dancing for a few years, so I go to the intermediate class and then stay for the beginner class that immediately follows, which reinforces the basics for me. You learn 2-3 moves in either class to be able to dance immediately. The dance floor is well maintained and made of wood, which is the best surface to dance on. It is a former Grange Hall, so has a fun "retro" vibe. My favorite is swing dancing but I've also learned ballroom dances such as the Cha Cha Cha, Nightclub 2-Step, and Waltz.
