I've been here only a handful of times, and I've never been impressed. It's a local dive bar that's very dark inside. They allow smoking downstairs, but it's non-smoking upstairs, which might be the only thing that I like about this place. My most recent visit was not great. It was like a big frat party downstairs with smoke filling the entire room and people yelling and chanting, so we immediately went upstairs where there was no smoke and a much more calm, relaxed vibe. Their beer selection needed some major help. They had all the usual suspects, but lacked in their array of craft beers. Every beer I asked for, they were either out of, or wasn't working due to some problem with the tap. So I settled on a porter the bartender said they had. When I got my beer, it was completely different than the one I asked for. He brought me a brown ale because he was out of the porter. It would have been nice if the bartender told me that he was out of it so I could pick something different, rather than him just picking something for me and pouring it from the bottle before I could say no. I love dive bars, but this is one that I wouldn't return to. read more

I've been coming to Robbie's whenever I'm in town for the last few years and have never left disappointed. The place is smokey so you'll have to mind that. Drinks are cheap, place is decent. Bar tender is a little rough around the edges. Very nice in the beginning, got multiple rounds of drinks no problem, but a friend ordered a PBR for $2.50, and never got it. Asked for it again and the guy told him it would be $2.50 again (he already paid). We tell him he paid and he insists we're lying, "....If you're going to try to scam me be a little smarter..."-bartender. Friend then proceeds to hand him a 5 and tells him to just keep the rest again, bartender refuses it, friend tells him it's no worries it's $3, bartender looks at friend and says "look, its no problem, but just get out of my face right now". Whooaaaa, something about Daytona Beach that I like! NOW HOW 'BOUT THAT? I'm not Irish, but I tend to drink like I am at times, and I can do it for cheap here and actually be entertained. AMAZING. Flanders plays on Wednesday and is decidedly awesome Among other songs, he sings some Shel Silverstein poems (I know, WAT??), sailor songs, etc in a rowdy-Irish kinda way. Great bar right in the heart of the party district of Daytona! Located right across from Razzles, they have great windows for people watching and observing the floozies wearing platform sandals. It's a two story bar, and I tend to always head upstairs where there are more tables and places to sit. The bartenders all remember me, and they pour a strong a drink for prices you can't beat. The decorations upstairs have a strong Neo European flair with cycling jerseys and art deco prints. Full bar with a great selection of beers in the bottle and on draft. Only complaint is the lack of ventilation in this smoking allowed bar. Being a smoker, I love a place where I can sit and have a beer and a smoke, I do not however, enjoy sitting in a room where I can barely keep my eyes open because it is so smoky. I wish they would get a better system for moving air in there, or maybe just open a window so I do not come home smelling like bar. read more

Great dive bar centrally located, as many pointed out, across from the Oyster Bar and Razzles. Smoking is allowed so beware if it bothers you as their ventilation system is non-existent. This is a two-story place with a jukebox on each floor. Dark interior downstairs and windows upstairs. I didn't see anyone dancing; that activity belongs to Razzles. The bartenders are quick to serve you and all manner of people were evident on my visit. I did have to pack my clothes in a laundry bag for the trip home and wash the smoke out of them. For the experience I'd do it again. While I visited on a Thursday night, I think any night it would be worth checking out this place. read more

A damn good Irish Bar in Daytona Beach, huge Irish Whiskey selection, but I went with my favs Woodford Reserve Bourbon and Sam Adams - two handed drinking to balance my drinking diet. Doug was our bartender - very friendly and funny, and great service. We went to the bar upstairs where we drank and smoked till we were good and happy. It's been a while since I've been in a bar where you can still drink and smoke, that is an old school practice that we don't have in Seattle anymore - but it was good to travel back in time and enjoy. Nice place if you're looking for some decently priced drinks and a place to get smashed with friends. It was a mixed crowd when we came here - business, close friends, and even hobos. They have a game area next to the bar and a jukebox! Bonus points for having the beatles playing when we arrived! Not much of a dance floor, but there's space for it if your feeling it! read more

My home away from home! This is a great little Irish dive bar. Now it is super smokey, so if you're sensitive to cigarette smoke this ain't the place for you. Robbie's is a super laid back, nice "pub". It's not a Miami Dance club and you can definitely go there with a hoody and jeans on. The drink specials are great and they have something different every night. Make sure you ask for Josh if you go in, he's a great bartender and has been there forever. For Daytona this place is great. I really like the old location but the new place is bigger and they have another (Belgian bar) up stairs. The place has a good selection of beers and a nice mix of local and tourists. A lot of places in Daytona, especially beach side are cheesy, tacky, biker or tourist not welcome. Robbie's is none of these things, the best way to describe it is a nice normal bar that could be in Chicago or even NYC, with the exception that the beach is 200yds away. If your in town or from Daytona I highly recommend going to Robbie's, ring the bell and make lots of new friends. read more

Better selection of beers than most places. And when I say selection I don't mean a thousand different domestics. I mean real, Belgian, Irish, and European beers here. They recently changed locations and I have to say the atmosphere lost some of the appeal to me but still a cool place. They're also full liquor now which is somewhat of a recent change. I used to love this place.... and brag about it! Unfortunately, tonight has given me a sour taste in my mouth. After going there with my usual expectation of a great time we encountered a young lady who was obviously a immature and thought it would be funny to spray pepper spray in the upstairs, enclosed, area- evacuating patrons to the downstairs- because she thought it was a "joke". Management did not want to have any part in correcting situation other than calling an ambulance (a bit extreme) I asked them if we can have a refund on our purchased beverages that we justttt bought , because members of my group are no longer able to stay in the bar due to the overwhelming discomfort of the pepper spray.... we were not offered to refund nor were we able to step outside the doors to finish our beverage with fresh air... needless to say I wasted my money and was violated by pepper spray with no remorse from management... and to put the sour cherry on top of the cake, the young lady who thought it would be funny to spray pepper spray was not even penalized.... it is sad story and very unfortunate because I really did enjoy this place and had higher expectations for management. read more
