I have used Suite Life to groom my dogs for several years…read more It has progressively become worse with the young women up front. They tell me to leave my dogs early and I can pick them up sooner. When I leave them at 7:30 am they are never ready until around 4-5 pm. So I started leaving them before 9am. i have been told to request them to be finished at an earlier time. That worked fine. Then I am told to tell them when I get there when I need to tell them when I need to pick them up. But that hasn't worked well either. They forget to tell the groomer. It isn't in writing on their sheet telling the groomer what needs to be done. Then I am told by reception that they do not start grooming until 11am. i guess everyone gets bathed then they start grooming. The story keeps changing. Obviously there are no policies and procedures followed. I asked them to tell me which way they actually want to schedule the dogs. i can either request to pick them up by 1-2pm or I cannot. The receptionist is very wishywashy , back and forth about all of this. 10-12 hours is too long for these dogs to stay at the groomers. They got their feelings hurt and called me back to cancell all 4 appointments. If they could get there policies straight then the groomer would not have lost 4 dogs to groom. I saw that the owner is retiring and Suite Life is up for sale on the internet. This may be the reason they have so much turnover. Businesswise it's too unstable up front. In the past I attempted to schedule grooming for a dog that still had 3.5 weeks left for his annual shots and the girl would not schedule him until I got the new certificate. So i had to reschedule him. The manager at that time responded with "she will be leaving soon anyway." Too many females. Too many control dramas. All are too young and do not know how to run a business. No one is supervising, no one is minding the store.

I can't say I recommend this vet. There's something unwelcoming and cold about the girls at the…read morefront desk, and the vet techs seem bored and tired. But mostly it's the front desk staff I find the most off putting. Three times I had to schedule my puppy to be neutered. The first time they called me last minute and said the vet had to leave town suddenly for a family affair. Totally understandable. I rescheduled. No worries. The second time, however, they called me at around 8:30 in the morning demanding to know if I was bringing my dog in or not. I informed them that, per my calendar, his appointment was not until the following day. I get rudely told that I am wrong and that now I am late. It is insinuated that I have somehow ruined everyone's day. This was during the Great Random Abilene Icestorm of 2018 so my car was encased in about 5 inches of solid ice. I hadn't cleared it off or warmed it up because I had no plans to go anywhere. I tell the woman on the phone this. She gets even more put out. I ask if I can just bring him in the next day (the day he was actually scheduled although she continues to deny that)...I am told no. I am told that the vet is so busy it will now be over a week until the procedure can be done. Am I being punished? The world may never know. Sooooo, it gets rescheduled. She is on speaker phone and my husband is sitting right next to me. I wrote the day and time down and I input it into my trusty phone. I reiterate: "now this is the day and time, right? I need us both to be sure" I am told yes. We hang up. The end. A week later I get a call from yet another rude staff member. "We are calling to confirm your dogs appointment tomorrow" Ummmmm......his appointment is day after tomorrow. Once again I am rudely told that I am wrong and they are right and I can't prove otherwise and am I bringing my dog in or not? Does this vets office exist in some rip in the space time continuum? Is there a worm hole these women must drive through on their way to work? My husband was a witness! I wrote down the day and time the last woman had barked at me (see what I did there? Hahaha)! Needless to say, I rearranged my plans and brought my dog in the next day. The reception was cold as usual...borderline contemptuous. He got fixed and updated on all shots and we went on our merry way. I'm searching for a new vet, btw.
