The follow through is horrible. I was scanned for new orthotics and was told that they would be ready in about 7-10 days. I still haven't received my orthotics and not one time did anybody reach out to me to let me know what was going on with my order. Every week I would call for an update and Melody the receptionist would take my name and number and that was it. Finally, I called again last Friday and someone else answered my call, she apologized for the inconvenience, pleasantly placed me on hold, contacted the company and found out why there was a delay in my order. I was really impressed with her thought provoking thoroughness. Hopefully I will be able to pick my orthotics up tomorrow or at the latest Monday. There is no way that as of today June 6th, that I should still be without my orthotics that we're ordered April 30th!!!

Came to Summit after experiencing back pain for about a year. I had a prior back injury from 10…read moreyears ago and wanted to make sure it wasn't more damaged. Summit allowed me to schedule online so I made an appointment with one of the spinal drs/surgeons that specialized in compression fracture. I called after I made the appointment to confirm it went through and that I would meet directly with the doctor, which they confirmed. Day-of, my appointment was 30+ minutes late and I met with only a PA/NP that was moving so quickly I didn't even get to describe my problem - he even said if I actually told the doctor what I was experiencing he would tell me my pain was fake. However, he was able to refer me to get an MRI and meet with a non-surgical doctor, so I thought I'd give Summit a second chance. The 2 stars is because my MRI was timely, easy, and I was well cared for. I was able to schedule a follow-up within the next couple weeks to go over the results. This time my appointment was on time, but again I only met with the NP. She was caring and kind, but I could tell she was rushing a bit and it felt very rehearsed. I got a copy of my MRI released to me and a referral for PT and will be going elsewhere for care.

I came to this clinic seeking help for ongoing PCOS symptoms and concerns about possible ovarian cysts. During my appointment with Jessica, I became emotional because I felt like I was not being fully listened to -- but at no point was I aggressive or involved in a "heated conversation" like what was later documented in my chart. After reviewing my medical notes myself, I was hurt to see language that painted me as angry simply for advocating for my health and expressing concern. Jessica and I both agreed that getting an ultrasound was the next step. Unfortunately, days later I ended up hospitalized and missed the appointment, but that does not justify being labeled as difficult or being told I can no longer return to the clinic after only one visit. When Corey from management contacted me, I tried to calmly explain my side and felt completely dismissed. Instead of trying to resolve the situation or understand why I was upset, I felt pushed away and unheard. Black women already struggle with being taken seriously in healthcare settings, and this experience only reinforced that fear for me. I apologized in the office for crying because I was overwhelmed and scared about my health. To later see the situation reframed as if I was hostile was deeply upsetting and unfair. Patients deserve compassion, accurate documentation, and to feel safe advocating for themselves without being stereotyped or punished for speaking up.

I was with a provider before her that left the practice and I was devastated, because we had such a great relationship. But Katie is just amazing! She listens when I babble, she listens when I cry. She's incredibly responsive, never judgmental, listens, cares, is kind. She's open to hear what's important to me, and what I feel I need, while having the objective information I need when my emotions are in the way of my own care. The entire staff is great, from check-in to blood draws. I couldn't be happier with my care there, and I actually look forward to seeing Katie when I go in!

The space has both open areas and rooms depending what kind of work people are doing and how many people are there for appointments. Front desk and PT folks have all been approachable and friendly. The PT practitioners are knowledgeable and listen to what their clients are telling them. Plenty of parking in the parking lot and I've never been too far from the building. Lots of handicapped parking spaces near the entrance and I've noticed lots of vehicles coming and going to drop people at the door for appointments in the building too. I'm happy with how much improvement I have shown from visiting the Institute for Athletic Medicine.
