This was never discussed or consented to prior to treatment. Even more concerning, my son and I were separated and taken to different rooms, and they proceeded to do multiple fillings on my son without ever informing me how many were needed or asking for my consent. No one came to explain the treatment plan before starting, during my own procedure, or afterward. As a parent, this is completely unacceptable. At no point was I given a clear treatment plan or cost breakdown for either of us. Despite having dual insurance coverage, I was still charged $621 out of pocket. When I asked for an itemized receipt, I was told they could not provide one, which is a huge red flag. This office feels extremely money-driven, with poor communication and questionable consent practices. I truly regret not paying closer attention to the reviews before booking here. Over the course of nearly 10 months, I completed the implant with the specialist and returned to Dr. Liu for the final crown. I visited Dr. Liu's office at least eight times, possibly more, for the procedure. Throughout this process, the front office had both of my dental insurance plans on file. Yet, despite this, they never provided me with a cost estimate or gave me any indication that the crown wouldn't be covered. To my surprise, at the very end, during my final visit, I was presented with a very high bill for just the crown. It felt like a shock, especially considering that a friend of mine had a crown done by a reputable dentist in Beverly Hills and paid significantly less cash. What troubled me most wasn't just the cost, but the lack of transparency. The office had ample time and opportunity to inform me about what wasn't covered and what I would need to pay, yet they waited until everything was done. If I had been given this information upfront, I might have made a different choice. To be fair, the specialist Dr. Liu referred me to was very professional. From the first appointment, their office clearly outlined the entire cost breakdown and what my insurance possibly would and wouldn't cover. They check me and they told me what was going to be needed. They helped me out finding a plan to pay the remaining balance to pay for a wisdom tooth extraction. It was really not in the budget but they helped me find a way to be able to help pay for it in payments. I came in the next day and got my tooth out. Everything went smoothly and very quick.
