Not only was that the most expensive annual eye exam I've ever had in my life ($433.39), but it…read morefelt like sitting through a 2-hour sales pitch. Like many others, I was very disappointed at how hard they upsell at every turn, and at being told that my insurance would COVER the additional fees (or at least the majority) only to sit down at check out (which was the longest checkout in history--it was as if the staff member had never used a tablet before) and be told that they did not accept my insurance! What? Moreover, I was told I have chronic dry eyes (which no other eye doctor has EVER diagnosed me with) and was then hard pushed a $4K procedure they apparently specialize in. When I contacted the office with my questions about the procedure (namely, after research, it seems I'm NOT a candidate, or should at least start first with the low hanging fruit of Omega 3s, hot compresses, etc.), I was told that I needed ever MORE expensive testing. Lastly, the staff left much to be desired--the staff member that did my initial eye exam pressed so hard on my eyeball that I yelped in pain; the other staff member checking me out took 45 minutes to generate a bill, etc. As a followup, they sent me an Rx for Progressive Lenses (which they also tried to hard sell me during the exam) even though I don't wear Progressive Lenses! Reading many of the other 1-3 star reviews, it seems this is all par for the course. I'm sure they'll post a charming refutation of this for the "optics" (pun intended), but given my experience (and that of my fiance who also felt he'd sat through a 2-hour sales pitch during his exam), I will not be back.
