They recommended several invasive things and my mother said no because she forms scar tissue and has had injections and other things done in the past and they caused pain and swelling and neuropathy in her hands and feet. The Dr told her she might as well go home to die because she was never getting anything from them, then he told her talking to her was like pulling teeth or nails on a chalk board. As she was leaving they followed her outside and made her sign something saying she wouldn't kill herself. Now she has such bad PTSD I can't get her to go to any other appointments. I'm slowly watching my mom die and suffer so you got what you wanted Dr annabi . My experience there was a bit different. I was referred to them by my PCP when they made it hard for them to prescribe. They kept me on my medication but then I had to go to the hospital and they gave me several medications while I was in the hospital. Pima pain said my pee came back dirty and I need to provide the hospital information so I did. The person working there called the hospital but didn't ask for the correct thing so they sent the records without the medication list so they called me a liar and cut my dose in half. I went into such bad withdrawals and couldn't even get up to pee in time anymore so I was peeing myself and couldn't even make food anymore. I was miserable and knew pima pain would just tell anyone else I was non compliant so I ended up doing the unthinkable and went to the street. I ended up with sepsis and kidney failure and endocarditis. I had to have open heart surgery and have my heart valves replaced. Now I go to the methadone clinic and watch my mom slowly die. I also have congestive heart failure now. Turns out procedure was not to cut my meds in half they should have put me on the bupe patch but they didn't. I'm currently trying to get my mom on palliative care so hopefully she won't suffer anymore. As for me anytime I have surgery im viewed as an addict and the surgeon is very hesitant to give anything do I've endured unimaginable pain because methadone doesn't help with pain when taken everyday already. As other reviews have suggested this place is the cause of ppl going to the streets. I feel like an idiot for doing so but I was peeing myself and couldn't barely get out of bed.

I don't usually hand out five stars. Nobody is perfect. But…read morePima Pain comes close. 1.The staff are professional, yet not cold. In the whole time I've been going, I have never felt talked down to or disrespected by anyone, from the assistants, to the Doctors. 2.The facilities are spotless. That says a lot to me; I see it as a sign of attention to detail and good hygiene. Important, considering I'm coming to have needles stuck in my body. 3. Communication. People explain stuff, and don't seem to mind stopping for a question. And if they don't know, they find out. 4. Best online check-in service, ever. So easy. 5. For the past six years, I have been dealing with unrelenting pain. Once the opioid crisis hit, and the Feds started cracking down, doctors got scared. The Doctors I'd had for years wouldn't help me anymore. Every day was a struggle, and the possibility of having a decent quality of life started to seem remote. I found Pima Pain on Google. It was life -changing for me. I have always felt anxious about requiring opioids in order to do my daily activities with a reasonable amount of discomfort, and to get at least 4 hours of decent sleep at night. I'd become uncomfortable with being treated with suspicion, the little comments about problems with drug-seekers, etc. One I started at Pima Pain, it was a whole different game. Their goal is to give me a better quality of living, and they have delivered. My NP, Yvonne McLemore, really listens to me, answers my questions without making me feel that I'm wasting her time, and is always cheerful and optimistic. She's awesome. Dr. Annabi is one of the best doctors I've ever dealt with. I have read some of his reviews here, and I could not disagree more. He is clinical and intelligent without being condescending, he explains everything thoroughly, and he listens. He has been nothing but kind and compassionate to me, and if there's a problem, he comes straight out and talks about it in a frank and honest way, without just assuming, or acting like because he's got the Degree, he's right. Dr.Schiller also gets two thumbs up. He's quick and thorough, and I like his wry sense of humor. I recently lost a child, and the genuine kindness and compassion I've received at Pima Pain, from all these practitioners, has been incredible. Sometimes I am reduced to tears by their kindness. I am so grateful to have the help of these wonderful people. I'm not being compensated in any way for this review. I'm just telling my truth. Five stars!!!

I hope the Dr. Is exposed for what he did. I have no problem standing up for those without a voice and being intimidated by medical personnel. They have a duty and responsibility to care for their patients and do what's right. I haven't been able to do much since they did 2 mbb blocks. Just that and an epidural took alkost 3 months. The organization is a mess. Evey time I go in , just a lot of crippled patients. What do they cure ? They caused me to be on a walker at 60. I told the Dr the 1st mbb didn't work. They went ahead and did a 2nd. Back seized 5 minutes after leaving the clinic. Told the Dr. I refused treatment when the procedure was changed after I arrived for my appointment. A very sensitive and painful procedure without anesthesia. Sorry. They're out sick this week. Sorry, I wasn't told until now. Dr. ushered me out the door and said don't come back or else......what does that mean ? A Dr. !!!! VA got me taken care of. New clinic, Dr said 2nd mbb failure showed their next step was not medically necessary. Wrong course of action. My pain, not theirs, for treatments billed to the VA. They new clinic got me help on my 1st visit, reviewed my mri's and actually talked to me, asked questions, actually is getting me the help I've waited on for months. I told all my extended family here in Tucson. This Dr. needs held accountable and the clinic will be investigated, I pray.

I'm so glad I finally found the Pain Clinic of Southern Arizona as they have truly helped me to at least partially curb my pain without subjecting me to some of the intrusions other pain clinics impose. Due to the current political atmosphere surrounding pain medications I understand the necessity of frequent appointments and month to month prescriptions (as opposed to 90 day supplies). Like all pain clinics you are randomly selected to supply a urine specimen to prove you are taking your meds (unfortunately, as opposed to selling them). The staff and professionals are always friendly and appear to genuinely care about your condition. I've never had to wait very long beyond my scheduled appointment time before being called in to the exam room. Unlike some clinics they have never pulled any of the unethical practices other clinics do such as treating my pain for a few months and then saying its time to wean off pain medication altogether while offering no alternative to management. In fact, they have frequently offered to increase the dosage of my meds without my even asking. I cannot guarantee everyone will have the same positive experience here as each patient presents their unique set of circumstances and unfortunately there are many out there seeking these meds for both abuse and profit. As for myself, all I can say is that the Pain Center of Southern Arizona has definitely changed my life for the better.

I've been on the same regimen for years, yet the primary concern during my visits seems to be lowering my pain medication rather than fully addressing my pain with sickle cell and overall needs. At times, it feels like office policies take priority over individualized patient care.

Now as we all know when you have a procedure your insurance pays for some items and not others. I was out of pocket for thousands of dollars. OK no problem this stuff happens. Fast forward a year an a half later and I get a call from a collection agency stating I owe money for this procedure. The collection call was aggressive and shady. I call Old Pueblo to confirm that I do have a balance with them and the girl confirms that I owe them money. I ask how come I have not received a phone call or correspondence via mail in regards to this the girl states that all the mail was returned. My response to her is how hard would it have been to pick up the phone and call me in regards to the bill. Her pathetic response was that they had mailed me bills that had been returned. In other words no response at all. I am not saying I do not owe the money or that it is my anyone's fault but as anyone that has had a medical procedure knows the medical vultures are circling for money and it is not just one or two companies. You have your doctor, your specialist, your MRI company, Your XRAY company, your Physical Therapy, etc... I will pay the bill. I owe the money. But I have to question the intelligence of a company that is getting mail returned for a bill and is to lazy and stupid to pick up the phone and make a simple phone call to resolve the matter prior to handing it over to collections. Scumbags. Tell your doctor if you have surgery that you do NOT want to deal with these jerks.
