After eating some humongous sammiches from Gigi's Cafe, I needed to walk it off to burn off the calories. Luckily, the cafe is located in the pathway of this small but lovely park. I tried to find out who this park is named after, but the closest I could find online was this person named Robert E. Wooley is the guy who came up with the hotel concept of all rooms as suites that includes a kitchen. This eventually became the Embassy Suites hotel chain. What do you know....it's right in front of an Embassy Suites hotel. The park is considered a loop trail that is 0.7 miles around. It goes around Anza Lagoon, several hotels, office buildings, bay trail and Kincaid restaurant. There is also a small fishing pier, washing station, public restrooms, wooden bridge with a barrier and plenty of greeneries as in plants, grass, flowers and trees. There is also wildlife enjoying the lagoon and bay, and speaking of wildlife, it appears to be a popular fishing spot for the locals. You have a great view of the bay that overlooks the airport and downtown San Francisco. You can watch the planes land and take off after several minutes apart or so. You can also bring your dogs along for a stroll and enjoy the breeze from the bay. The park itself feels like you're in a secluded area while it's right next to the busy 101 freeway. There are only a handful of parking stalls, and some of the stalls are underneath a shade of a tree, which is always nice and how I prefer to park my car. I enjoyed this park so much that I went on the loop three times to fully immerse myself from everything that it has to offer. The only thing missing were my dogs and how I wished I had brought them along. All in all, a great, small, quaint, scenic, peaceful park.

A serene oasis with gorgeous bay views. Ideal spot for a bit of fresh air and some sunshine. Easily accessible from Facebook and 101N. Nice place for a stroll. Check it out.

At first, while I was walking through here, I didn't think much about this park. But walking around this paved trail which circles Anza Lagoon, and passes by businesses and hotels, this place is very scenic. It also takes you past Kincaid's Restaurant. So it is the perfect place to walk off an afternoon or evening meal. Or if you're at one of the nearby businesses here, a good circle to get in some steps during lunch, and enjoy the outdoors as well. There's also a boardwalk with those great Bay views here, so yes, this place was no doubt a great find in Burlingame!!

The phrase "hidden gem" gets thrown around a lot; certainly this park's proper is unexpected amidst some office buildings and hotels, all adjacent to the final-approach flight path of SFO. Suffice to say, it's a small, charming spot. The park features a grassy area, a walking path, Anza lagoon (great for birdwatching), and a small public fishing pier. Accessible from Anza Blvd. or by foot/bike on the SF Bay trail, this is a quiet little spot to take a breather. The length of the park runs along the waters of the bay, and a rip rap of rocks and old concrete blocks betrays the high and low tides by its appearance or hiding accordingly. South of the park, a footbridge runs towards and past Kincaid's, ultimately heading down towards Coyote Point through tall stands of wild anise and chain link fences guarding nothing anymore. The park is popular with joggers, stroller-pushers, and fishermen, who ply the waters seasonally for sharks, rays, striped bass, smelt, and the occasional sturgeon. But you can easily come here, set up lunch on a bench, and enjoy a picnic with a pal. The sf bay trail influence brings in a few knuckleheads who break glass and leave trash around, but the park itself is pretty clean and tranquil. I can't imagine when I'll be back, but if I'm staying anywhere close by, I will definitely visit again.

Lovely little stroll next to the bay. Not much to it but a little oasis along the bayshore freeway. Between the Embassy Suite, fishing pier and Kincaid's restaurant

There was a lot of parking when we went on a Saturday afternoon. They had a few parking lots scattered in the area. There are a lot of picnic areas that you can reserve for the BBQ grills. There were plenty of bathrooms scattered throughout the picnic areas. The one I used was relatively clean and had plenty of toilet paper. They have a lot of trails here where you can bike or walk. You can watch the planes go in and out of the airport above you! There are also a lot of birds hanging out in and by water if you want to bird watch. I was hoping to catch some sea lions but I guess they weren't around. There is unfortunately a lot of powerlines in the area that would spoil an otherwise nice view but what can you do. I also saw there was a yacht club by the water! I saw you could rent the facilities for parties (not sure if you had to be a member or not).

My most favorite part of Coyote Point Recreation Area is the CuriOdyssey, which you can see my review for separately. Although this is a beach, it's unlike any beach that I've seen in SoCal, at least in my area. Pretty green, murky, and muddy, I wouldn't say it's the most ideal to go into, especially if you're not going to immediately shower afterwards. I don't think I saw people in the water either, even with it being June, but the breeze and cooler Bay Area weather kept everything nice and mild. Most people were flying kites or just going on walks. There are rentals for wind surfing and there were a couple people suited up for that. I heard there was a cosplay gathering here and it made many a cosplayer's outfit green though...There are playgrounds for the kids, a good amount of trees, a couple trails, a marina for the boats docked there, and some monthly/seasonal community events as well. I don't think I'd normally visit this area if it weren't for the CuriOdyssey, but it's not bad when I am there.

This park is mainly set up for softball or baseball, with bleachers, a scoreboard, a little snack bar, and even little sheds that house the equipment!! I can see this place jumping on a Friday night with the Tavern league games, which are always a great time. Hopefully, that atmosphere will return, I'm pretty sure it will and I'll check out this park again!!!

Great place to walk your dog and burn some calories! In the morning/early afternoon the weather is typically mild, but as the afternoon hits, it gets windier and windier. This trail runs along the bay, from Millbrae to San Mateo. I start at the Burlingame Marriott, and make my way towards to Coyote Point park. What's great about this trail is that you can make it as long or as short as you want. I typically can make this hike anywhere between 5-10 miles, depending on how I feel that day. You'll be treated to stunning views of the Bay, SF skyline, and of course plenty of airplane taking off and landing. Currently Facebook's new building is being built, so you'll want to watch for construction in the area as you head towards Coyote Point Rec center. I typically park by the Marriott right off the Millbrae ave exit, across the street from New England Lobster. There's a public lot with 10+ parking spots, so if you get there early, parking is easy. Come bit later, you may need to park across the street. Wherever you decide to park along the trail, HIDE ALL BELONGINGS! Car thieves are common in this area. If you plan to park closer to the Burlingame Dog Park on Airport, I had my car broken into while parking here, but it was my fault for leaving stuff out in the back seat. Definitely a lesson learned.
