I know she has been a dentist for years but recently opened her own practice. She has a great location and her staff is also amazing. I think one of the reasons I was so impressed was that she and her staff are genuine. The last dentist I had I didn't know at all, despite going to him for 6 years. He'd make the same lame small talk during his 1-minute exam after my cleaning, "Boy this is getting to be a hot summer....Oh those Vols had a bad game...." Dr. Smith was genuinely interested in me and we had a nice chat before, sort of during, and after my exam and cleaning. A friend recommended Dr. Smith and her location and hours made it easy to try. It was the best cleaning I've ever had, her exam encompassed things I'd never seen before, and I left with such a good feeling that I want others to give her a try. One HUGE benefit right now during Covid is that she does NOT see 30 patients a day like so many of the other offices. She has three separate workspaces and she only sees one patient at a time in the office. There aren't 10 other patients getting cleanings. I don't walk in and sit right down where someone else had been a couple minutes before. I was told that because she rotates the work stations each is left vacant for some time before the next patient. If it's time for your cleaning and you are a bit worried about going to your high volume dentist, give Blue Dog a try. Can't say enough nice things about her. Best dentist I've had in 30 years, at least.

The really short muscular pudgy dentist came out and determined he couldn't repair my chip cause it was so small and that I needed to get other work done for around $7000. zmy teeth are very straight BTW. Then after I left I got a bill for cleaning my teeth. I told them I'm not paying to have teeth clean when they charged me to fix my tooth, causing them to need to clean them. Then they sent me a cleaning bill. I refused to pay, so they turned it over to collections. If you like your teeth worked on by clowns, be my guest.

Went in for a cleaning but postponed after I refused yet another full set of X-rays (done 2x in March). They got those yet from one of the other places I went but now Appalachia won't have with me as a patient. Apparently, I'm 'not a good fit' for their practice...because I questioned their original diagnosis. I think they're right; I don't want to work with a place that can't make a proper diagnosis and/or be straight with me.

Background: I just relocated back to the area from being…read moregone nearly four years. When I lived here before, I used Dr. White and was very pleased with his staff and service. I found him through a recommendation by a prior dentist I used. Present Day: Upon my return to the area, I was looking for a dentist that would be a little closer to home or work. One dental office never called me back after completing their online questionnaire for new patient and another practice had me come in and was wanting several hundred more dollars for dental treatment (this was even after taking my dental insurance). That caused a red flag with me since I take pretty good care of my teeth and have good dental insurance. Remembering Dr. White and finding out that he had actually relocated to a different location while I was away, which ended up closer to me, I called his office, they remembered me and had availability that same day as someone had just cancelled. I went in and pretty much got a second opinion, which differed from the first with good reason, and was able to get the proper dental care needed with my insurance covering that day. Recommendation: Great practice and a dentist I trust. New office, to me new, looks great and professional staff all around. Definitely worth going out-of-the way if have too. I even scheduled for my next check-up in six months and glad to be back with him as a patient.

We both had excellent hygienists that were knowledgeable, personable, and gave us great suggestions for better flossing, brushing, and maintaining our teeth, gums and smiles. Dr. Bailey was so nice, friendly, and clearly exemplary in the field of dentistry. For a small cavity, she used a new sandblasting technique (at least new to me) where numbing is not required, the cavity is sandblasted, sealed and it only took about 5 minutes ~ amazing.
