I went to see Dr.Visot to see if he could help me with my TMJ. I clench my teeth throughout the day and my jaw becomes sore and I get really bad headaches. He was absolutely great. He went through a couple of different options and I decided to do Botox to help. Wow I was so impressed within a few days I noticed that I was clenching my teeth a lot less thanks to his suggestion. I have always trusted Dr Visot since I first met him and his staff. He helped me a lot the first time with an infected root canal and now once again with my crowns. He fixed them and made sure the fit was right from the lab so we wouldn't have any fit issues. I don't trust anyone else for my teetH. I had a terrible experience with a dentist last year, and even after more than a year, I still feel the need to warn others about him. He administered medication before handing me a disclaimer to sign, which I found very unsettling. His assistant also did a poor job with both cleaning and root canals. Additionally, he pressured me to remove my initial negative review in exchange for a discounted root canal--but he didn't perform the procedure correctly. Afterward, when I questioned something I noticed in the X-ray he took, he brushed it off, told me not to ask, and dismissed it as nothing. In reality, the root canal was not done properly. read more

I saw the stellar reviews, and went in for my first appointment a few months ago as I was experiencing tooth aches, and I still have my wisdom teeth, but the aches were another issue. It was just the receptionist and the doctor in that day, and they were both friendly, but really eager to pull my wisdom teeth. I said "no, thank you," because I drove myself and it was in the middle of the weekday, "I'd rather plan ahead for it." The doctor said, "You sure? It will be quick," at least twice. I'm assuming this is after they saw my insurance coverage. Anyway, I DID NOT get my teeth pulled and walked out with an x-ray and oral exam. A month later, I get a bill from my insurance stating that I had my teeth extracted and requesting I pay extra out of pocket. I've since filed a claim with my insurance, explained the situation to a receptionist or assistant at Alexander Visot's office, and it's been corrected, having told me that I didn't need to worry about any of my charges, because of the inconvenience. A few months later, I find another dentist much closer to where I live, as I'm still experiencing aches, and they ask if I've had a panoramic x-ray done (which I have, at Alexander Visot's office). I call their office to request the x-ray be sent to my new dental office, and apparently they're still expecting me to pay for the teeth extractions that never happened. I had to explain again the mischarge, and they seemed to be understanding. They said that they would send the x-rays (via email) immediately. A couple of hours go by, and the x-rays haven't been sent. I call again to check on the status, and talk to someone who said they don't know how to do that? Either I've chosen a bad day to contact the office every time, or the staff needs to figure out how to send an email? Again, I'm sure the doctor is a nice guy, but from my experience, he was very eager to extract my teeth on my first visit, and still charged me and my insurance after NOT extracting my teeth. UPDATE: I received a phone call from Alexander Visot's office asking for help to send over my x-rays, because the files were too large? I was happy to help them find an alternative method, and they were being uploaded to a download link; problem ended up being solved, but I was asked to consider removing my review upon receiving the x-rays. I almost NEVER leave reviews, and I understand a negative review doesn't look good, but this could've been avoided if Alexander Visot's office didn't falsely charge me (and my insurance) for tooth extractions. UPDATE (again, per this same review on Google): To the response from Alexander Visot's office, on this review, "This patient did not ever paid for his x rays. wanted to have a free treatment scumback," I never asked for free treatment. When I called your office to report the issue, the person I spoke to acknowledged your billing mistake and informed me that I didn't have to pay anything as everything else was covered by my insurance. Also, coming from a doctor, your response to this review has some grammatical and spelling errors; plus, referring to a customer as "scumback" (I knew what you meant) seems very unprofessional. read more

I will start with .... I hate going to dentist and I am probably the worst patient you can have (dental anxiety). I have been avoiding getting a filling replaced with a crown. I just moved here from out of state and chose Dr. Visot based on his good reviews and credentials. It is hard finding a new dentist you can trust. I did not feel the numbing shot OR the filling in the entire procedure. He is patient, smart and professional! His staff is also kind and patient. No bruising, virtually painless, and he was joking around and ate a hamburger the next day? And seriously, what dentist, in SOCAL at least, turns down making money? Seriously... So skillful. And, to the poster about implants and myself learning about the "total tooth" cost, after having TEN, yes - it is a thing. WORST DENTIST EVER!!! He's so bad that what he did had to be redone.. While doing my cavity he told his assistant that she was using the wrong light the blue light which was for teeth whitening then told her don't bother going to find the oracavity light, what's done is done, right in front of my face, literally! I swallowed a bunch of water & they kept dropping tools and putting it back in my mouth.. oh and I got the cleaning from his dental assistant who took less than 2 minutes.. I am also competent enough to know that you were too lazy to go to the other room to get the orange cavity light and you used a zoom teeth whitening light due to you announcing it to your assistant in front of me. I went for my first visit ever today to Alex's office. The place was clean and the staff was friendly, which is a big plus. Today I went in for my first teeth whitening and cleaning. I've done cleanings and check ups before, but never a whitening. Alex's staff cleaned my teeth very quickly and without discomfort, but the best part was definitely the whitening...holy crap I can't believe how white my teeth came out. I felt compelled to leave a review for Dr. Visot for relieving a toothache of mine. I was in severe pain that prevented me from concentrating at work, and I couldn't take it anymore, so I started asking friends for a referral. I was referred to this Dr by a mutual friend who assured me I would get "friendly" prices. He did not disappoint. You never realize the financial situation you're going to get into until you get side tracked by things beyond your control. Unfortunately this was one of those events. Luckily Dr Visot charged me a very reasonable price for a root canal and I cannot thank him enough for relieving my pain and the price it cost. The office is very clean, modern, great friendly staff with great smiles (I wonder why :) and guided me throughout the entire process which went very smoothly.
