We have had the great pleasure of working with Marla two times for family portraits and I cannot…read moresay enough great things about her and her artwork. My oldest child is 16 and I dragged her to every portrait studio under the sun and was always disappointed with the photos: they looked like school pictures each and every time. Then we met Marla through one of her children. We met her at a park for photos of our three children and I have never witnessed someone so at ease with her clients, surroundings, and camera. When we met her in her studio to review the photos she had taken, we had such a hard time choosing which pictures to order: they were all beautiful and captured our children's personalities perfectly. We ordered more photos than we expected going in, but it was just so difficult to decide. She is always so gracious with sending us a few extra prints too, which says something about her customer service. I get the feeling that she looks at all of her clients as family members and gives her best every time. We had her take photos of the entire family a few years later and she continues to capture our children perfectly in photos. She is very flexible and accomodating with her time and camera. I have photos from both sessions hanging in a few rooms in our home and countless friends and acquaintances have remarked on the beautiful photos on our walls. These are all the work of Marla. Yes, you will pay for high quality photos, but you get what you pay for, and working with Marla from start to finish, each time, is worth every single penny. You won't be sorry.

I even upgraded my equipment for them and had repeat clients happy to see I was their photographer once again. I drove to Modesto, CA and Stockton, CA, 1 1/2 to 2 hours each way. This company is a disgrace. I bought a Groupon for a session this past weekend. I showed up for my…read moresession with my 1 year old at 9:30am. The photographer did not show up. So, I called the company. They were incredibly rude to me, they told me that they called and emailed to cancel. They didn't! I was checking my phone all morning because I knew the weather wasn't great. This was on top of me calling the day before to be sure that my appointment was confirmed. Which it was! With that being said - I am sure most of you know how hard it is to get a 1 year old and myself camera ready by 9:30am? I was feeling a little irritated, but thought to myself "we can reschedule if we need to". Nope - I called and they did all of that for me. On a day that doesn't work for me sometime in November when the weather is sure to be even crappier. On top of them rescheduling me for a time when I don't even have my son (split weekends with his Dad)...the manager named Kimber was incredibly rude to me. She said something along the lines of "Well I spent 16 hours calling people yesterday to let them know their sessions were cancelled" Instead of saying "I am sorry" or having even an ounce of sympathy for me. I literally said to her "It doesn't feel like you have any remorse for how poorly you treat your customers" and she said "I don't". That really happened. The way I was treated was HORRIBLE. I work in customer service and would NEVER speak to a customer the way Kimber spoke to me. I would never even DREAM of treating someone the way I was treated. Instead of giving them my business I will be getting a refund on my Groupon and I will be sure to let everyone know how horrible this company treats its patrons. All I wanted were some pictures of my son and I together and maybe just a little shred of sympathy when I called and let them know I was standing outside in the cold/rain with my one year old and wasn't informed of the cancellation. That would have kept my business. A simple "I am sorry" would have felt a LOT better than the attitude and sarcasm of Kimber. Don't waste your money here!

I finally found Ania through an Instagram search and quickly booked an appointment with her as she was very responsive over email! From the moment I pulled up in my car, I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable. Ania greeted me and brought me into her beautiful studio. I had brought so many things to wear but I could have brought nothing as she has a whole wardrobe of maternity clothing. I wanted the black turtleneck dress, so we started with that one. Taking the pictures was so easy. I received feedback on where to look and how to move from Ania and the woman working with her that I am blanking on her name. They would stop after a few pictures to show me how they looked so I had a sneak peek. Ania asked a lot of questions about what I wanted when it came to lighting, outfits, poses, etc. I never felt pressured to do anything cheesy or anything that I didn't like. My boyfriend was running late, so I was worried we wouldn't get a ton of pictures with him, but Ania was so patient. We ended up going a little over the hour and a half assigned, and I also had five outfit changes instead of four. She really wanted me to have a lot of options and looks to choose from! Within a day I had the gallery of photos, and only three days after I chose the photos, I had the final edited photos back! It was so fast, and they all look so great. I've already had a photo book printed, and the photos look phenomenal. I am so impressed. It was exactly what I was looking for!

First, they arrived wearing our wedding colors, which speaks to their attention to detail! Immediately I was at ease with them, and by the end of the evening it felt more like they were friends than hired photographers. I was sad to see them leave! We did many of the wedding party and family photos before the ceremony, which I highly recommend if you intend to enjoy your reception. As we were planning the pre-ceremony photo session my husband was concerned that the 'first look' photos would feel hooky - as it was Tim and Sandy put him at ease and it was a very special experience for him. Throughout the evening, Sandy was like a bridesmaid, best friend and outside observer rolled into one - she helped me with wardrobe tape when I was dressing, chased me around with bobby pins toward the end of the evening when my hair started to fall, and with Tim's help kept order in the sweetest way as we attempted to get through our shot list. By the end of the night we had photos will all our guests without feeling as if even a fraction of the night was spent posing for the camera. I am so excited to see our photos - Sandy and Tim were so creative (while still being down to earth) that I have no doubt we'll find at least a few to treasure always.
